I’ll try to keep this brief! It is to be noted I own 3 burley trailers: the travoy, the flat bed? and now the nomad. And I have hitch connections on all of my bikes. 8 bikes but that’s another story. Bike enthusiasts understand. So goes without much intro that I’m into their products by a few hundreds of dollars. Let me mention that I purchased and returned same day the single wheel trailer (built like the legendary Bob trailer. It was so poorly executed of design i took one spin and boxed it back up. So I’m not taking sides if it’s garbage. So the nomad is easy out the box like all of their stuff. Easy to set up etc. However Iike a few reviewers have mentioned...there should be some improvements to get a glowing 5 star. Here’s what it needs to be perfect:1.Larger wheels for clearance should come standard. I bought them and I won’t go smaller.2. The base materials are thin & unprotected; and after one use the edges didn’t appear of long use. This caused me to get creative at a hardware store. Foam board and vinyl is the trick.3. Needs.flooring so the foam board is eas and lighter than plywood.4. I covered the front n rear base. But this should come standard as they missed the mark.So I’ve supplied pics. Hope it helps. It’s a great trailer. Sturdy. Ride is smooth. Love the covered trailer feature and the pockets inside.Would give it a 5 if it had a better/ firm interior floor, a better material base scuff and rip protection, and bigger wheels out the box.

Very excited to start using the trailer for picnics in the park. Shipping was quick, and it arrived in good condition with only a few scratches on some of the metal, that I would have probably picked up in the first month of use anyway. Little bit of Wd-40 now and some spray paint next year will fix that problem.Very easy to setup!!First trip update:Cargo Two small dogs 5kg and 7kg, a small collapsible cooler, two baseball gloves and ball, four ultimate frisbees, two rain jackets, spare tools, four tall beers, snacks, ice.Headed to the dog park this weekend with the dogs and the trailer rode smooth the whole time! The girls(dogs) loved having the front of the rain fly open, and the only complaint I had was trying to get my active dog to sit down during the ride. After a few hours in the park we got caught in a thunderstorm, and I threw my two dogs back in the Nomad to keep them dry and warm. After finding some shelter for myself, I checked the trailer before biking home and the outer sides(canvas) were wet but not soaked, the dogs were dry and warm, and the cooler was the only thing that had leaked some water inside (condensation). Took a little bit of water on the way back home in a light rain, but overall everything stayed dry.I will say, navigating stairs, an apartment complex, or elevators with this trailer proves to be a two trip solution. It is not as nimble as my Travoy, but it is a solid investment for an apartment family without a car.

This trailer is a solid trailer.I purchased it for a 422 mile ride across the state of Minnesota. The ride contained hills, wind, and rain. The trailer pulled excellently. The mistake we made (my wife and I) is that it is so roomy and sturdy that we loaded it with too much weight. Also, because of an order issue at my local bike shop, I was unable to practice with this at all before leaving. Don't do that.In the wind, the trailer tugs at you with each gust. That should be expected. This trailer didn't wobble or "blow around" at all.In the rain, (we drove 55 miles in consistent mist and small showers) it kept all our gear 100% dry.The hills are tough, it had nothing to do with the trailer, but watch how you load it. Also, check your breaks as going down a hill with this thing heavily loaded is a blast.

Thought I would give it a bit o use afore I wrote a review ! Yup she is a peach alright .... Started off running it empty .... Lovely, tracks perfect barley even notice it's there ! Gradually built up weight ..... Now I run it fully loaded....... I am so impressed I only notice it on big climbs an even then it's no a problem ! Been out in the pi***ng rain ..... All kit bone dry, an that was at least 4hrs in real heavy rain. Easy to build ! Easy visable on the back o my bike ......great bit o kit ..... For touring for every day use . You need a trailer fur yer bike ..... This is the man fur the job .

Really impressed - loaded it with all of my gear for a re-enactment week end and then cycled 30 miles to the event. I was concerned about traffic being able to get past but this did not seem to be and issue the trailer is narrow enough for vehicles to overtake. It was easy to tow both up and down hill, you know it is there but I never felt out of control. I know it is expensive but we make up for it by only having to run one family car.

This is our 2nd Burley Nomad. The current model has a number of important improvements. The hitch is more durable, it is better balanced, the bottom edge in the front has protection from scrapes, and changing the tire is MUCH easier. So far we've put almost 1000 miles on it (loaded with 70lbs of our gear), and it's still going strong. I would highly recommend it

There are two reasons why I'm not giving this a five-star review: (1) The tires should be thicker, like mountain bike tires (2) There should be a baseboard at the bottom. I used this while traveling to the grocery store. A few of the heavier items caused a depression at the bottom of trailer. This trailer pulls smoothly and turns easily with the bike.

Easy to use, easy to put together, worked perfectly. Only had one issue, small tear on the back corner of the canvas covering...too much stretch when applied at the business....too much effort to re-pack and send back...will find another solution to repair and or replace at another time as I can still use it for the functions I wanted.

Overall a good product. The design is a great one. However I feel it could've been better executed by reinforcing the canvas with something, especially on the bottom part of the trailer. Also, this new edition doesn't have the back flap you can put down so it's tough to fit longer loads. But hey, nonetheless this is a good trailer!

Very light and very strong. Comes ready to go, just put the quick release wheels and go. One can fit quiet a bit in the nomad. I love it.
