Classic saddle and very happy I bought it. Though very hard on first few rides - felt like the saddle was made from wood(!), I’ve been applying Proofride every couple of days on the top and plenty on the underside. This has softened it up nicely. I’ve also taken this bike out for lots of short rides (about 5-6 miles) and after 6 weeks of breaking the saddle in, I’d be happy to go for longer rides now. I’ve found i can loop my bike lock under the rails and secure it when i leave it unattended. Following this, I’m now looking to replace the saddle on my road bike.

Since I got this saddle, I don't use padded cycling shorts anymore. I find that the thinner the shorts (the ones that wick away moisture) the better the ride. I was worried that it might be uncomfortable until it's broken in, but that's not the case. This thing is a dream right out of the box. This may not be the saddle for casual riders, but if you are looking for a saddle for your long distance road bike, then this is the one for you.

Exactly what I was hoping for from a brooks saddle. My order was not only perfect but showed up earlier than expected. It is now currently on my fat bike. It came with a very small package of proofide, enough to get you started anyway. I’m excited about getting it “broke in”. The quality of the seat and leather is top shelf. If you’re on the fence about money and value, in my opinion (obviously) I’d say you will not be disappointed!

I was advised it could take 200 miles to break this saddle in, but mine has been very comfortable from day one, including two centuries in the first two months. Care is pretty simple, it comes with a small amount of proofride for the initial polish, but it's a good idea to order a small tin and condition the saddle every 3-4 months. This is the most recommended saddle for touring and long-distance rides, gets better with time.

Brooks saddles are long term the most comfortable I have ridden. They do require maintenance since they are vegetable tanned leather, they also require a break in period. This saddle now has 120 miles on it and is just starting to come into it's own. It looks incredible, the build quality is excellent, and it is now starting to get comfortable. I'm looking forward to riding this saddle for many years.

Saddle arrived perfect, whipped and tested and looks great. To be reassessed after a longer travel time, but being in leather and therefore the more you use and the more it takes the right anatomical shape, I think I will not have problems. The possibility of extending the product warranty to 10 years by registering it on the manufacturer's website is interesting. satisfied

I was cynical about buying the saddle because some people say this has a minimum of a 500 mile break in period. However, I need not have worried. Although it feels rock hard straight out the box, i found it extremely comfortable on my first ride. Completed a 15 mile ride and experienced no issues. It was much comfortable than the charge spoon saddle I was previously using.

Seat came in Brooks box but could have used another box to protect it as the plastic bag was torn and box damaged. Fortunately there was no damage to the seat but you could see it through the bag. Seat felt very nice out of the box and after setting up the fit I felt nice. Only 20 miles on it so far but I feel it’s gonna be great after break in.

Excellent achat effectué en 2020. Faisant énormément de vélo pou le travail, c'est vraiment le jour et la nuit, avec les modèles ''bon marché''. Aussi, le fait qu'elle soit adapté à nos corps (étant une femme), elle est confortable pour de longues balades, sans causer des irritation à l'aine. Vraiment superbe produit.

Received quickly. Unfortunately saddle was not delivered attached to the typical Brooks cardboard and no spanner wrench was included. Saddle was in a plastic bag with Brooks printed on it, and en envelope with instructions tucked into the rails. No spanner wrench. Other than all that, the saddle looks good.

I love the saddle. My seat bones have already made an impression after 4 x 25km rides and getting more comfortable every ride. I do ride with proper padded cycling shorts. Went for a relaxed ride with my wife wearing jeans and this is a no-no!!! Maybe after a lot more riding may get better

I love the box the saddle came in, the whole experience of unboxing the saddle feels so pampering. So much care & thoughtfulness had gone into the user experience. The ladies saddle looks so beautiful & petite but honestly i'm really scared about the breaking in process.

This was a gift, and the recipient was delighted. Beautiful leather, as expected, installed on a vintage Raleigh. Had to adapt the old mounting bracket as this seat (clearly) is single rail and the one it replaced was a double rail. Easily adapted with the old hardware.

I ordered a Brooks B17S and it arrived earlier than expected. The saddle is very comfortable out of the box. I'm glad I made the right decision of getting the short (ladies) version with slightly wider width compared to the B17 Standard, considering I'm a guy.

Well I have actually done the 1000 miles on this saddle it says it needs to break in. And now another 500 more. I now never have any discomfort riding up to 80 miles a day. I have to say, the saddle has no padding but it fits to and pampers the bottom
