Got this for my fiance's oldest son. He loves fishing. This keeps them out of the way. He used to keep them in the middle of his floor and they would get stepped on by him. Installed them side by side. As stated in another review, use your own screws. The ones that come with the product are too small and don't come with sheet rock anchors. I was able to place several rods side by side. If you have large reels, you may have to skip a rod space. I installed this in my truck topper and it was easy for the most part. My truck bed is 6.5 feet long. I put it at an angle with the handle of the rods towards the cab to allow me to not have to bend the rod tips when I put them in there.Two issues I ran into: 1 - the screws are flat head, so you cannot put very much force behind them when screwing into the topper. 2 - you will most likely want shorter screws so you do not poke through the top of your topper. I have a mid-rise topper and it was fine in the parts where the part is that is extra tall, but I poked through in two spots where the topper is “regular” width.Overall,a great product and solution to storing rods on trips so you can utilize the bed of the truck and not worry about your rods getting beat up or broken!

It accommodates all six of them whit no problem at all, especially if the reels are staggered so they won’t bump into each other.The rack was extremely easy to installed. Just need basic equipment (drill, drill bit, screwdriver, level) and hardware (screws). Screws are not included but they should be easy to find at your local hardware store, just need to purchase 4 pieces and the type depends on the wall material into which the rack will be mounted.Once fully installed, it will keep up to six roods even with reels, tidy organized.Some visitors have even said that it looks quite decorative.

I just purchased my 5th and 6th berkley rod holders, this is one of the greatest rod savers ever invented. I have been using them for about 25yrs (approx.), since they came out on the market. I use them to mount my rods on the ceiling of my basements, first at my parents house now in my last 4 houses, I move a lot for work. They have always kept the rods out of the way and out of harms way. I have some rods and reels from when I was a teen and they are all still in great shape.I am now storing my kids fishing poles in them my older son is finally getting into fishing (God is good). Bought 2 of these for my garage. One for Salt and one for freshwater. Was very easy to set up. I used 2 inch wood screws instead of the provided screws. Took less than 30 minutes to measure height of poles, find studs, and level it straight. Works exactly as expected. The fit is tight but rolling the poles into the foam ensures a secure fit. I took out one of the foams to hang a fishing net. Works as expected. Minutes after installing it, I bumped my tool cart against it and broke it. Crazy Glue and reinstall. All works fine. Gave it 4 stars because i realized once i broke it, it's not a thick plastic. It is a bit fragile. But for it's purpose and price, it does the job.

I recently purchased this to go on my pontoon. I have 3 young sons who love to fish, so we have the fishing poles out with us all the time. Problem was, when we weren't fishing, the poles were always in the way. I seen this on a buddys boat, and it was exactly what we needed. Found it here on Amazon, and had it within the week. I fastened it to the roof of our boat and its awesome. We have a 24 foot with a hard top. Took about 10 minutes to install it and it works like a charm. Holds the boys fishing poles and a dock hook. Out of the way when you don't need them, quick and handy when you do. Even leave them up there when were trailering the boat, and they stay put.

I needed a way to transport and store my fishing poles while in my adventure van. I screwed the rack to the ceiling of the cabin and now the poles stay well out of the way even as I am cooking, sleeping or having a cup of coffee in the van. I am a big Fan of this product, so much so I purchased another set for my garage.Pros:- Affordable- Foam is rigid enough to hold the poles even upside downCons:- The Hardware included is awful and will need to be upgraded if you are screwing this on to anything more than a soft drywall.-The foam is starting to show some ware from pulling out the rods, not awful, but I am keeping an eye on it.

It holds rods - what else is there?OhhOk well the lock mechanism is brilliant, the foam part inside really grips the rods and the fact that there is a twist lock asw ell makes it unfailable (it is a word I swear)I've added a picture to show where I put mine on my sailbot - we spend a lot of our time out in nice gusty winds with the window you can see dipping into the water so if the rod holder is going to fail I would guess it would on my boat, especially as it has the weight of the rods constantly pulling on it.Its a great bit of kit and for the money you spend you would be crazy not to get it!

I am always looking for ways to keep my poles safe and out of the way. With a little ingenuity you can too. I have three sets of these screwed to my ceiling in my garage. Who likes their $200-$300 rod and reel setups sitting in a corner with lines tangling, kids knocking them over, and the possibility of breaking something? NO ONE! So why not drill out the base side, slide those poles through, and put these up and out of the way. For the price, isn't it worth your time to put them up so no one knocks them down. Sure, you can use these on your boat if you want to, but I suggest the ceiling/

Basic plastic mount for fishing rods or similar shaped items. Easy to install with two screws into studs or drywall. I used mine with both standard fishing rods and smaller ice fishing rods so the distance between needed to be closer (Mine are approximately 2 feet apart). Be strategic when placing multiple rods with different positioned reels to maximize the most space. I have four rods total in my mount and they are spaced evenly. This mount keeps rods safe and easily accessible while maintain a neat and organized look.

For the price you get a decent fishing rod rack. Not the greatest but I didn't want to spend $50 for one of these. I mounted it to the wall and it's nice to have the poles neatly organized no lines getting tangled. I'd recommend this as a basic pole holder. One thing I did not like was the screws - they are flathead and do not have any magnetic in them to hold to the screwdriver. The screws were a huge pain to screw in by hand. I did like that they were matte black though, they color match the rack really well.

I've had earlier versions of this rod rack and all have generally been the same. The setup is a bit "tight" (all 5 spaces will be accessible if reels/handles line up correctly) but it's not designed to be anything else. I believe the screws that are supplied could be a bit longer as users should show some care when removing rods so as not to pull screws from drywall, etc. I'd recommend using anchors if you anticipate significant use or hard pulling will take place. For the price, the rack system is fine.

I bought two sets of these for storing my 6 rods.Pros: They are easy to install. They hold the rods firmly, but not too firmly. The material seems very durable and suitable for an outdoor environment.Con: The gaps are too close together to hang all of the rods together at the same level (aesthetically) as the reels do not have enough space. I had to put a rod in every other slot to achieve this.Overall I would recommend and will probably actually purchase some for my uncle.

So I purchased an inflatable kayak for easy storage and so I could travel in my smaller vehicle if necessary. That being said I didn't think about the possibility of these attachments falling in the water and sinking! These replacement rod holders work just as good as the originals. I needed a way to get all my rods organized in the garage. This vertical rod rack was simple, cheap, and for them on done. I ordered a second rod rack after installing the first one. You can't beat the price. I would rate this 5 stars, but the inserts are very close together making it difficult to store my bigger offshore rods. The mounting screws are flathead screws, not phillips head screws. Not a big deal. I would still recommend this rod rack because of the great price.
