Following a motorbike theft from my own driveway, I use this chain to anchor my bike's frame to a ground anchor. The hoop essentially doubles the reach of the chain and gives that much more flexibility so you don't have to park in exactly the right location or miss the anchor.It is thick enough to put off thieves as I discovered on the two occasions my bike cover was pealed back

This is a study chain, but essential if you are considering leaving a desirable bike out of your sight.The picture for the item was wrong, as the dedicated version for the Detecto 8000 has flattened link at the end to go through the disk lock. Rest assured that despite the picture being wrong, the correct item was delivered.

Got the Kryptonite one as well as this Abus one and think the Abus one is better to handle. The links on the chain are rounded and smoother on the Abus one making it easier to thread around the fork leg of my scooter. The Kryptonite chain links are octagonal and don't slide as well as Abus.

This is a heavy & clearly a well made chain, its a quality piece of security equipment.The make speaks for itself really but, it truly is a very robust & solid built item.No way can some slippery low life chancer easily steal your 'bike (or other item) if this is part of your 'armoury'.

Excellent chain but bare in mind that it is effectively only a metre long. I use it with another which wraps around my scooter. I would be very surprised if someone had any success cutting through this one. A powertool at least would be required!

Very heavy and solid chain. Love the feed through design. Allows more locking options, and a bit of additional length when needed. I need a second lighter one now to carry around with me. (I leave this one locked up on my driveway as so heavy)

This chain isn’t for detecto.And I didn't need one like is on the description. Good product, so far is combined with 100 of other security layabouts

Now - nine times out of ten - I can lock the bike to a fixed point and keep the chain off the ground - brilliant

Excellent chain. Second one I bought. Gives me the feeling of having my bikes properly secured.
