The shades are not plain white as you would imagine from the picture they are opaque glass with brilliant white speckles, the chain and cable are quite long and having held it to my average height ceiling it will need shortening by half. I love the ornate style of the ceiling light but as of yet havent had the glass lamps onto the unit as one arrived chipped. I'm currently awaiting a new one to be sent through the post. Looks stylish once in place.

Arrived promptly and in excellent condition. Surfed the internet for best price and Amazon came up trumps via CSN Lighting. Very impressed with product so immediately ordered the companion 5 light chandelier for the other reception room! That too arrived very swiftly and in perfect condition.
