This is the best safety addition for any rider, even more than the helmet itself, because you can easily see behind without risking a wobble. It's probably saved my life over the years, and it's great when you're riding with someone else you want to keep an eye on. Much better than mirrors on the bike, in my experience, especially if you have more than 1 bike. But not recommended if you're wearing strong vari-focal spectacles, as you'll be looking through the wrong part of the lens. We found the velcro mountings let vibration through, so we fix them with cable ties (see photos). There's plenty of fine adjustment, and we bend the stalk to the best overall position. Amazingly, they even work well when cycling abroad on the other side of the road. Warning - the end is quite delicate, and we break about one a year, but they're such life-savers that we just treat them like disposable batteries, and keep a couple of spares on hand. I just unscrew the head to replace it without disturbing the cable ties. Highly recommended - wouldn't be without them.

This is very lightweight and seems well-made but be aware that it doesn't work for every helmet. You need a 2x1 inch flat surface on your helmet to stick it to, just in front of where your ears are relative to the helmet. It wouldn't fit my wife's Certini helmet but was OK on my Specialized and my son's (can't remember brand). The mounting pad was useless. It is velcro, obviously intended for you to be able to remove and re-attach the mirror at at will, however the velcro itself is hopeless, leading to the arm hanging down, so I replaced the velcro with a 3M sticky pad which worked perfectly. And lastly for the negatives, my eyes couldn't focus on it. I'm a short-sighted specs-wearer,but as I've aged and my near-point has moved further away, I need to remove my specs to read (print or screens). I suspect this is why I couldn't use this mirror. So, I gave it to my 14yo son who has the eyesight of an unladen swallow, and he was able to use it perfectly and says he really likes it.

This is a good product that does what it says on the tin. I bought it to replace my existing helmet mirror that is the flexible type and the new one is much better. The main advantage being that having taken a bit of time to get the mirror in the right position/ angle, if you take a bit of care taking your helmet off then it will be in the right spot when you put your helmet back on. The previous flexible mirror always got knocked and then took another age to get right. This type of mirror will never give you such a good view as a bigger handlebar mirror but I ride a recumbent and so that's not an option for me. Takes a bit of getting used to but if you don't want,or can't use a handlebar mirror then I recommend this product.

The mounting is velcro, doesn't work. You will need to cable tie this on to your helmet. The mirror works well and is adjustable, with a clear image, it is not retractable or telescopic so be careful if putting your helmet in a bag. There are cheaper unbranded versions which seem to follow the same design. After using for a few months I have taken the mounting part off entirely and cable tied the arm directly to my helmet. The arm is sort of bendable so you can position it to get a good view. I still think it's overpriced but it does work well. Very useful when riding in traffic

Quite good, tricky to set up but once positioned works well for seeing traffic behind you. I got this predominantly to see my partner behind me so I didn't ride off and leave them, but it was less effective for this as my body got in the way... I also have had a handlebar fitted mirror, which I think on the whole works slightly better - but I don't think would work on drop bars.

Great little mirror. Far better than one fixed to the bike, as this allows a much wider field of vision, just with a slight turn of the head. Just two minor gripes. It would be better if the length of the stem could be adjusted. Secondly, and more important, it would be good to have more than one of the Velcro fixing patches in case of helmet replacement.

It took me a while to get used to this, but I have been riding for 4 years with mine now, and couldn't do without it. I only just realised how important it is to me when I broke the mirror by shutting it in a door. My fault, not that of the mirror. Having to ride for a week without it has shown me just how much of a help it is.

I can definitely recommend this mirror for anyone thinking of getting one, it came quickly and was easy to fit and does a good job of giving me an idea of what's behind me. Just realise it sticks out in front further than you think and you'll not knock it against things/people when you're in a tight space.

The mirror works as well as you can expect for the price. It fixes well to the helmet and after a bit of fiddling about, you can get the image in the correct place. The image is small and subject to vibration but it definitely helps in monitoring overtaking traffic.

Great product. Like other reviews though the velcro/fixing to the helmet is rubbish ! The best way to fix it is to tie rap it. Dont be put off, once you have attached it, its great, a little bit of getting used to setting it up, persevere and it's great.

Took a bit of getting used too, especially as the vibration from rough roads affects the mirror image. However, once you've angled it correctly, it does allow you to keep check on cars/bikes etc coming up behind you. If it broke I would buy another one!

having had one for 4 years and t's saved me loads of Times whilst commuting in London CentralI have got another one so I can see both Sides.if you commute, they are the best you can see behind you and out to the side no problems

It does the job quite well although it does take a take time to get used to it, main drawback is the view is quite limited. Am I pleased I bought it?, yes its useful but best used in conjunction with 2nd mirror.

It took a little getting used to and needs regular adjusting but I swear by it now. Being a motorcyclist as well I'm so used to have rear vission mirrors that this has become a life saver for me.

This is a good safety add-on. Being a bit hard of hearing I don't always notice traffic behind until they're close but this allows me to see them before I hear them. Well worth the money.
