I have an old triathalon bike that's too small for me. As a result, I have the seatpost extended waaay out. The existing handlebar stem could only be extended a couple inches, so my handlebars were far too low - I couldn't even ride in my drops!Since this is an old bike, I needed a 22.2mm threaded quill stem. I first tried a quill stem extender, but it was useless - I couldn't tighten it enough to hold my handlebars in place. After that, I then went on a search for a different solution and found this. Although my bike generally looks like a road bike, luckily my handlebar diameter was 25.4mm (the mountain bike standard), not 26mm (the road bike standard).I picked this stem because it was the right diameter (22.2mm)and looked longer than my existing stem. Plus, I knew I could use the adjustment to rotate it higher if needed.Another plus with this stem is it's a 'pop-top', just like my old stem. That means the handlebar mount has bolts on both sides, not just one. The old style of stem has a bolt on just one side, so to change your stem you have to slide the handlebar all the way through on one side. For that to work you have to unwrap your bar and remove the brake levers, etc. Thus a pop-top stem makes a swap a lot easier.I was able to install this new stem in about 30 minutes, and it worked great! My old stem was about 6 inches long. This one is over 7" long (on the quill end) and the minimum line was further down than the one on my old stem. That gave me about 3 extra inches of height right off the bat. Plus, I rotated the adjustment up about 20 degrees, for another inch or more. Now my bars are high enough that I can grab the bottom of my drops comfortably. This makes a huge difference.I should note that I was lucky because my shifters are mounted on the stem, not on the handlebars. With handlebar shifters, you will probably have to install new cables and housings because the height increase will make the old cables too short.I chose the 100mm version of this stem, which means 100mm from the adjuster to the handlebars. I see that the company makes longer stems, up to 130mm. Ideally I would want one of those to give me more height and distance. However, for my purposes, the 100mm version works fine. Also I have a silver bike so I was concerned that the black stem would look weird. It actually looks great!

I bought this adjustable stem to move up the handlebars on my MTB. Per the item title description, this item fits bike with a 7/8" diameter steering tube and 1" diameter handlebars. If you have a 1" steering tube, take a look at the T02 model. The original stem did not have much range of height adjustment and also the horizontal portion was too long which placed the handlebars too far forward. This stem has a much wider range of height adjustment and the angle of the stem can also be adjusted. It is a well made quality product and made my MTB much more comfortable to ride. Love it!

This stem is finished well and seems sufficiently rugged to suit my needs. It fits well and has the short extension I needed to be comfortable with some fairly straight handlebars. I had a choice of replacing the handlebar with taller more curved one, or replacing the stem and keeping the original appearance/alignment of the original bike; I chose the latter and I am not disappointed. This stem is easy to install and easy to adjust. A recommended purchase.

Perfect for my son's new bike. The OEM stem on his W-mart bike put the handle bars too far forward and too low. This beauty installed in about 15 minutes. I installed it backwards and raised it up to the highest angle. Handlebars are just about perfect for him now.

This stem was a bit longer than I'd originally envisioned, and that turned out to be perfect. If you are looking for a nice, easygoing upright position, you'd be hard pressed not to find it with this stem, even if you used a strait bar!

This stem worked great for my single speed conversion. Wish i would have ordered the longer stem, but that was my own fault. Adjustabilty is fantastic and it locks nice and tight. Great product/

perfect fit, gets my bars up and back for more upright position.. moveable 80mm stem length is quite short but worked fine for me. Good price and fast shipping..as always with Amazon Prime...

part is nice but didn't fit. My fault. Make sure you understand not all 1" stems are the same size. Measure carefully. My old Dahon had a very thin stem. The new one was too fat.

I'm sure that, if pressed, I could figure out a way that this stem could be better, but I'd be picking a nit if I did. It's really perfect for my 20-year-old mountain bike.

Fits well with XLC Road HB R06 bicycle handlebars. It says that the voice fits in a 1 "front tube, but it was a bit small. Despite this, I made it fit.

Perfect fit for my Schwinn Verano 700c. Replaced stock stem and immediately cranked it vertical , max height. No changing out cables or adjusting.

Fast shipped and good condition. I definitely recommend this product I have a plan for another bicycle and I will buy this product again.

Was easy to install on my old Pacific Python mountain bike. Brought the handle bars closer to me so I can sit straight up now.

I purchased these for an old project, everything fit very well, The only complaint was the cast wedge nut, but it works fine.

Works well.. Be aware that 80mm is not that long. The silver finish is a paint, NOT polished aluminum as I thought.
