I used to have 'The Trick' shorts, but the latest version was WAY too tight. These are fantastic, like running in an airconditioner on a hot day and they dampen vibration pretty well. These are not highly compressive though (in case that's a requirement for you). Overall, I really like these...the phone pocket is great for $$, keys, maybe a gel.
