I went for the 25's--- I know ,it makes no sense too me either but Bumble Bees fly right. I don't know if the bike is faster- it's not slower They are mounted on a track bike frame with a 2"wheelbase and steep geometry, so a little bit more rubber gives some relief to the "Jack Hammer" effect of ridding on less than perfect roadways.I have the skinny black ones on another frame and it looks like I'm ridding on inner tubes, it's a touring frame so it feels fine and zippy also O FLATS!Those big white, powdered sugar, doughnut looking guys are just a hairs breath from being over the top..... every time I look at them I want to take a bite!

I love the look of these tires. I put them on my 2017 diamondback overdrive comp MTB and could tell a huge difference while riding on the road. I normally ride the trails, but I've been really hitting the road a lot lately, so I decided to get some new tires. It was a little wet the first day I rode but did a few brake test and seemed to have enough grip to make me feel comfortable. 5 miles into my ride, I picked up some speed to beat oncoming traffic so I could take a left onto a different street. As I made my left turn, I lost all grip,slammed on my left side and slid a good 15ft. I had plenty of layers on, so I didn't get too messed up, just a few bruises. I bought this tire for a mountain bike to use with a trainer and for road use until I buy a road bike. For thay purpose, it does well. It has way less rolling resistance than my Maxxis DHF tires, and still has a nice plush ride with the large volume. My average rode speed went up about 1.5mph on this tire. Fit is great, snug but not stupid tight. You can feel the extra thick rubber on the center tread, and I've had zero flats in the ~200mi I've rode on it so far.One other option to consider if you're looking at a similar use as me, you may be better off with a 700c tire. I didn't realize this at the time of purchase. Still, it's a great tire.

These tires are awesome for riding on Pavement. Very smooth and thick and durable. The sticky feeling rubber is not wearing out quickly like I thought it would. After a couple of months, there is still a bit of the seams showing from the injection molding I guess. They grip just fine in wet conditions. I didn't push the limits too far, rode conservatively in the water. When I did ride through a patch of gravel I lost traction completely and started sliding around, so they are definitely designed for paved surfaces.

Not a plush ride, but very flat resistant for a gritty urban environment.I wouldn't like to ride long distances on these tires but for my twice-daily commute to and from work over potholes, broken glass, screws and discarded construction materials, these tires are bomb-proof.Good on dry and wet pavement and ice in the winter. Okay in light snow, not recommended for deeper snow.And they are very good looking on the bike.

My wife wanted a tire to use on the trainer instead of the knobby mountain bike tires. This tire is the ticket. Smooth as butter and after months of use it has no signs of wear. She likes it so much we're getting another so put on the front to ride on the road. If you want a tire to ride your mountain bike on the trainer or on the road, this is the one. And the all black sidewall with fat ThickSlick writing just looks hot.

I got this because like others I didn’t like the humming sound from the the Big Apples from the other MFG. I have a continental trainer tire but, I didn’t want to bother with the swap. Suitable for my riding conditions in Arizona? Well there is slime in that Inner tube. A must for the cacti. I didn’t read other reviews tell after. I may leave on all the time instead swapping the to the knobs.

I was riding a 2.25 26inch knobby MTB tire on a trainer, and it's LOUD! This slick is a substantial improvement. No need to change the inner tube either. The only problem is that it comes wrapped in tight plastic, with a warning "please do not use blade". Understandable, as it would be easy to damage the tire, but there is absolutely no other way to get the plastic off.

Nice tires, I had never seen no tread tires before these. My husband's one tire blew on his bike and finding a new tire for wheels this large on a cruiser only was a nightmare. Tried these and have been very happy with them, he did say it was a much smoother ride on pavement. My husband is 6'7 and 275 pounds and they support his weight no problem. I'd recommend them!

I switched to these tires since I really don’t “off road” around my area. What a difference these tires make, the ride is much smoother and faster feeling. The slick surface has so much less rolling resistance. As a bonus they were shipped to me in a couple of days instead of the 2 weeks they said it might take. Gonna buy a second set for my beach cruiser. Thanks

These are smooth rolling tires for my commuter, have plenty of grip even on wet pavement, and the big lettering looks super cool. Haven't been able to ride them as much as I normally would due to covid, but I do have a few hundred miles on them so far and initial impression is that they're more durable than what came on my bike.

I have a 29" mountain bike and these things are awesome. I ordered the 29"x2.1 and they fit the rim of my cannondale mountainbike perfectly. They ride nice and smooth and make great for getting around the city on! also nice thick tires, shouldn't worry about too many puntures. Also work great on my indoor trainer

These tires are easy to mount on the newer double wall 29er rims! They ride very smoothly, and seem much faster than the knobbies that my new bike came with. I found that I was riding about 2 gears higher with these than the original tires. I can't wait to try a timed ride, and see how much faster they are!

After averaging a flat a week over the course of a month riding stock 23s on my city’s glass-strewn and pothole ridden streets I decided to give these a try. They immediately put a stop to the flat tires and subsequently put a stop to my worrying about flat tires. Best purchase in a long time for me.

I use this tire on my fixed gear bike and it is my second time purchase. I found this tire to be good quality and reliable. My first one had gotten a slice in the sidewall somehow so needed a new one. The tire itself was still in great shape after many miles and skid stopping. Solid tire solid price
