Ordered one to test out. Good tight fitting bead on Stan's Grail rim. No levers required to mount, but I did have to work at it a bit. Seated the bead with an air compressor. Added sealant and aired up. Lots of pinholes in the sidewalls, that sealed up easily, BUT, this first one also had a ton of really slow leakers that wouldn't seal until ridden. I worked at it for a few days, airing up, shaking, rolling, laying on side. No dice! Contacted WTB, and they suggested more sealant and a ride. I took it out on a 40mi ride, and no more leaks.WTB sent me out a second one, and that one had just a couple of the fast sealing pinholes, and nearly zero slow leakers. I rode it and zero problems. So,long story longer, the tires are good. Reasonably light, nicely supple and a good compromise of tread. Quiet on pavement, don't throw too many pebbles on limestone/gravel and roll as fast or faster than most in this size. WTB customer service and communication is very good! These will be my "monster cross" tires, to slay singletrack on the cross bike. I'll stick to Compass Tires for long days and faster rides.

Easy to mount on rim, even with a tube. Rides well on different surfaces - almost the perfect choice for mixed gravel, rail trail, dirt and paved surfaces. Mine are on my 29er Salsa Fargo and 700 x 45c fit like 29ers. I'd give them 5 stars except that they come folded and compressed extremely tight on a big piece of plastic, causing the tires to be slightly "warped" where they were zip-tied to the packaging. After two weeks and various air pressure changes the little warp is smaller, but still evident. Maybe I should have taken them out of the packaging and hung them up for a month before mounting them?

Used in Orbea MTB Oiz (double suspension) in the back for a 53 miles race. Terrain was really bad lots of small and large rocks, sand, plenty river crosses with about 2 inches depth mud in the first few yards out of every river cross. No slips at all except for a little bit when using full power in +24% slopes in very sandy/rocky tracks. It is really fast in these type of track. Might not be the ideal in deep mud. Would definitely use again in similar tracks.

Put these on a set of Stans in order to use my mountain bike for cyclocross racing. They were a pain to fit til i doused them with hot water. Then they won't on like butter on warm bread. Made the bike about a pound and half lighter and considerably faster due to less rolling resistance.Running them tubeless and pulled out several thorns and they quickly sealed. I find the retro look rather agreeable.

Overall, pretty nice. Tread pattern is great, bead is solid (fits on standard 700c road wheels), seems to roll well. Did a 100k gravel ride and a couple of cyclocross races. Only issue is that the build quality isn’t the best - one tire in particular wasn’t as round as I’d expect. Still totally rideable and overall a good value. Next time I might try the Michelin Power Gravel to see how they compare.

I really like the look of them. Took me forever to get them set with lots of soap and Windex but I have a fairly narrow rim. Work great on dirt paths with lots of grip on the climbs. Pick up and spit out lots of small rocks on gravel paths. I suspect they will wear down very quickly on pavement. It can be tough to find the inflation max on the tire but it's on there (55psi if I remember correctly)

Went from a 700x30 wire bead to this tubeless 700x37 on a rigid bike. Went from ru ning close to 100 psi down to about 40. Un-be-liveable difference in confort over bad roads, vibration is almost completely out. Barely any vibration on gravel, the grip is phenomenal too ! I had mine mounted professionally, and I barely used them a day, so time will tell if they hold up air correctly.

Great tire. They roll fast on dirt and tarmack. Cornering grip is excellent (Better than the XPlor MSOs I had on before). After 1200 miles the center tread in the rear is pretty well gone, but the side knobs still seem to hook up well in soft stuff. They do surprisingly well in mud and seem to shake it off quick. On gravel, I run 35psi front and 40psi rear (I weigh about 185lbs).

I replaced the stock 32c tires on my Giant Anyroad with these. I was a little worried about the width fitment, but they clear with room to spare! These make the bike feel totally different. Despite being wider, more aggressive tread and having a lower PSI rating, these tires roll faster and easier than the stock ones. I'm no longer worried when riding. These are great!

Don't be too concerned when they come out of box in a little ball! When you open up you think they're far too big. I inflated a tube inside them and let them get their natural shape back, with a bit of hand manipulation. They then end up tight you need to squeeze them on! All done know and they look fab, totally make the bike...didn't cycle yet!

I have approximately 200ish miles on these tires. I have been on everything from pavement, fireroads and even MTB singletrack. My only gripe is that they have quite a bit of squirm when descending on gravel that mimicked a flat several times. The light and Fast casing wouldnt be a 1st choice for a rear tire again. But live and learn.

I bought the 700x37c tire for the first time and converted it to tubeless. And it is probably one of the best tires I've had. I've had a small leak issue within the first couple of months, but nothing like extra sealant can't fix. Would recommend and once these tires wear out, I'll most likely upgrade to 40c.

Ride rural Montana back roads and this tire performs great. Use 95% off road - gravel, dirt, rocks, - and these tires hook up well and the cornering knobs do the trick. When hitting the asphalt connector roads the tires have relatively low rolling resistance and I cruise down the road with ease.

These tires are outstanding. Gone through one set 2000 miles with tread left. 1100 on my second set, and expect1500 more. Hold the path in gravel and loose stone. Less resistance and better grip, what more could one want?

Only had the tires for a short week.Set up tubless easily with sealant.Tires roll surprisingly well. I was able to keep up on an easy group ride on the road at 30kph. Super smooth ride.Next stop, a little single track.
