Purchased as a Covid-19 birthday present for the significant other who no longer has football, golf or cricket to play or watch! He actually lit up when he realised what I'd got him and has played on it a fair bit. We are not usually darts players other than very rarely in the pub with friends so, I cannot comment on quality for a more serious audience. For our purpose it is spot on, secure on the wall, and delivery was as expected to our door, within social distancing guidelines. Thanks Argos.

There isn’t too much to say about the board, which is exactly what you would want about it. It does it’s job well and doesn’t break down quickly like cheaper paper-style boards do. The difference made by the blade system means that you forget how common bounce-outs are with traditional wired borders until you use one at a mate’s house. Providing you rotate the board on a monthly basis (worth googling) it should last multiple years. There are no gimmicks raising the price but nothing is missing.

This is a great quality board. The darts land, as my husband put it, with a very satisfying "thunk". The metal dividers are really thin and there are no staples. My one complaint is that, as you can see in the picture, there is a squiggly design behind the numbers 6 and 11. This makes the numbers difficult to read and is distracting when going for those doubles. I have resorted to using a black Sharpie to colour in the logo and squiggly bit behind these two numbers. The board is now perfect!

My son has been using a 'safe' dartboard up to now: plastic pointed darts and a board with holes to capture the darts. He wanted a proper dartboard and this is a great choice. Easy to hang, well made at an affordable price. Solid and robust the dartboard hung well on a plasterboard wall with great ease. I also invested in a dartboard surround to protect the wall and a great starter darts set all from Argos. My son got it Christmas Day and has not stopped thowing darts since. Very pleased!

Great dartboard, does exactly what a high end quality dartboard should do. I hardly have any bounce outs due to the design of the wiring around the board. Bought a rubber surround at the same time as buying the dartboard in a deal that saved money. The board came with easy to follow instructions, informing the buyer on how to install it on the wall. Took about ten minutes from taking the board out the box to fixing it on the wall, and throwing the first dart.Would recommend this product

The Unicorn Eclipse board is the main rival for your cash. It's great for the first few months, but starts to fall apart after that - at least the two I have had did. The Winmau Blades are not quite as good day one (slightly smaller scoring areas in the trebles and doubles) but the Blade 5, like the 4 and the 3 before it are very hard wearing due to the construction of the sisal - they last! The Winmau Diamond is cheaper, but you avoid all the staples here - staple free/no wire overlay.

Cracking dart board, not an expert by any means but after a look through choices this seemed a good board at a reasonable price, been playing at least once a day for over 2 weeks now whilst in lockdown and can’t remember any bounce outs, perhaps one but that’s from the plastic that holds the number ring in, scorings getting better but this could be due to practicing regularly, defo worth the money for the really easy fitting and 3 screws that hold it flush to the wall, very pleased

I originally opted for the Unicorn Eclipse Pro, but I returned it as it was awful quality and the bull wasn't even centered (it was a few millimeters to the left) and got this board instead for just £1 extra. The difference in quality between the two is huge. This board is fantastic and is everything you'd expect of a dart board. I have no complaints at all. If you're pondering which to get, get this one. I will be avoiding Unicorn boards from now on and sticking with Winmau.

Quality bristle dartboard at a great price (£21). Very thin diamond wire to minimise bounce-outs and maximise the size of the beds. White sections show natural 'veins' of the sisal that the board is made of. Bought with surround as part of multi-buy deal which was cheapest I could find across the web. Only criticism is the design of the number ring, which has a white coating and seems a bit basic. This combo will provide years of darts fun for all the family!

The dartboard shows no noticeable signs of early hard use so far. It is very quiet too, whilst playing at home. The board, in my case, is fixed by one screw to a stand-alone tripod, and occasionally a dart may fall out if it lands near the edge. This is probably due to the stand being a wee bit wobbly maybe, but not necessarily due the dartboard. Great stuff. Note: there is an additional fixing on the tripod stand to eliminate any dartboard wobble.

This is my second Blade4 dartboard from Winmau and it does exactly what it says on the tin.The wire is very thin and has a sharp edge which helps to prevent bounce-outs, although after a lot of use the number of bounce-outs increases as the wires get a bit worn.Only slight criticism is that on the last one I bought the red colour is different. It's seams a bit more orangy, but that's just being really picky and doesn't affect the performance.

After trying out the competition, namely Bulls and Unicorn, there is no contest, consistent quality from the Winmau, it is a firmly packed sisal but has not caused any issues.Would love to see winmau make the colours as vibrant as the Bulls board, and that is the only thing I would like to see changed, this is their 4th incarnation of their blade series, hard to see what they could do better if they ever go for a 5th incarnation.

I previously had a Phil Taylor Unicorn board but had began to notice as i got better i was suffering a lot of bounce outs, so i started looking for a better board with thinner wires. The wires on this board are so thin they look like little razors and so far i haven't suffered a bounce out since i got it.The sound it makes when the darts land is also so much better than the Unicorn. All in all very happy with the purchase!!

this product has fine wires separating the numbers, so obviously you get less bounce outs. the only thing I can say bad, is the number clips have been put on in a way that the number 20 does not line up exactly with the partition on the board. its only very slight but you notice it. apart from that the ratings I would have given would have been excellent. I have used it a lot and is not showing hard warring at all.

On the basis of the reviews we decided to pay a little extra and go with the Blade 4. Not disappointed at all. The board is great and being well used. The thin wires add to the excitement when you get near the treble. I knocked up a moveable mount from two old IKEA pine shelves so mounting the board wasn't a problem but you do need to plan carefully how you are going to place it on a wall. Thoroughly recommended
