I bought this toy for my 18-month old's second Christmas and he really likes it. He has played with it consistently since Christmas and its novelty doesn't seem to be wearing off. He loves walking around the house, pulling it behind him and he loves making the shapes pop out by pressing on the baby bug on the top. I am sure that this toy will continue to be played with for a long time to come, as he is yet to learn the skills necessary to enjoy the "Can you find the triangle?" stage of play. There is no volume control but I don't find the music that loud and it certainly is better than some electronic toys around. My one problem with it is that it is quite difficult to get the shapes to stay in their places and sometimes they just drop off the Learning Bug.If I find it difficult to get them to stay put, you may imagine how frustrated a toddler can get. Perhaps if the holes had to have been designed deeper, the problem would not have arisen. It may seem a petty reason to give 4 stars out of 5 but there you have it!I would still recommend this toy to any and every parent out there. It has been so satisfying to see a toy being played with over and over again.

This toy has been our most successful purchase for our son who got it on his 1st birthday and is now 21months old. Unlike other shape sorters he seems to have the motivation to put the shapes in so he can watch them all hit the floor when he wacks the baby ladybird with great force. He now is getting to the stage of being able to answer the questions and loves pulling it along. There are three things I would improve though. Firstly, my toddler doesn't really try and eat things but when his younger cousin came round this toy was promptly put away as the shapes have stickers on the front and so would probably come off. Secondly, no volume switch, battery operated toys always need volume switches!Thirdly, on a minor note, the questions are not persistent enough for my liking, i.e if it asks "where is the star?" and your child puts the circle in they don't get the applause but it does not ask the question again until they get it right.

What a great toy for little boys or girls! Bought this for my 8 month old and he loves it :) so does his brother who is nearly 3 so i can see this will last us a long time. I noticed that another reviewer only gave a couple of stars because they felt that the shapes are easily lost as they don't stay on the toy and there isn't any where to store them but i don't see this as a problem myself as i have a box where i put all the loose parts of the all the toys when they aren't in use so they can't get lost, but everyone is different i suppose. Great price too got it £5 cheaper on here than i could of done on the high street and got free delivery bargain :DGreat packaging & delivery time fromamazon as usual thanks.

My daughter loves this toy which has a lot of different functions. The colours are bright and the songs are cute, without that annoying voice that some toys have. It's very sturdy, as ours has been knocked around every now and then, and it's still working properly after 6 months, so far. The only thing I wasn't pleased with, is the shapes have a sticker/paint on them depicting the corresponding shape/nature item, which scratches off very easily. My daughter puts them in her mouth and they left her mouth with little flecks of paint, which I didn't like, so I have had to put the shapes away for now. I would still recommend this toy though.

Purchased this as a replacement for a broken birthday present for my 2yr old, who has learning delay/special needs. I am super impressed at the sheer range of activities/modes on this toy! It has helped her with acquiring new words and it's the only toy she doesn't just throw!! The only criticism I have is that the shapes fall out of their slots quite easily, so as a shape "sorter/matched" it's bit frustrating but mine do love being able to make them fly out!!

Does just what it says on the can. Little one is fascinated with all the ways she can play with it, and its smaller than we thought so if we go away its easy to pop in a bag. Very solid. Another reviewer criticised the ease at which the blocks can be removed, however this is for little hands and babies easily get frustrated if they can't insert/remove shapes with relative ease so I actually think its fine how it is. Each to their own though.

Great toy and lots of fun. My daughter who's nearly 18mths still finds it tricky putting the shapes back on but when she does she loves pressing the ladybird on top and watching them pop out. Only had this since October and lost most of the shapes. Unlike other shape sorters that usually have a compartment for storage this one doesn't so as soon as I put it away the shapes fall off. Still a good toy though.

My 20 month old loves this. He has had it since his first birthday and he carries it around with him like an old school boom box, with his nursery rhymes 'blaring' from the cute little unit (don't worry, they don't actually blare...the volume is just fine). The lights on the bug's head don't actually light up like they do in the photo, but I don't care, it's still a great purchase.

Bought this for my 8 month old who loves the lights music and features on this toy. She's fascinated with the shapes and colours too and I'm sure this will last for sometime as she develops with her words, colours and shapes. However if you purchase this toy for a young child you will need to keep an eye on them with the small shapes.

My daughter loved this fir her 1st birthday, loads of great sounds, good for hand and eye co-ordination with the different shapes and flashing lights, nice and sturdy as she loves to chuck it round, the only downfall is there is no hi and low settings for the volume as it is quite loud. Happy with purchase.

I bought this as a gift for my friends 14month old and she loves it. I've been sent videos of her playing with it and there is lots to do, it is interactive and keeps her focused. Would buy again in future for another gift.

Our little one loves this toy. Its interesting with lots of lights and sounds - that can be abnoxious for adults especially when the child knows how to turn the toy on and off! A great toy overall.
