Open the box, cut a cord and undo some fixings, remove a tab on his foot (not his back as the instructions say), and he's ready to play (batteries already inserted). We surprised our 3 year old g-daughter (who loves music, dancing and monkeys) and she fell in love. Enjoying kissing and cuddling more than anything. One setting is Play and the buttons on his chest are very like a lot of toys - snippets of tunes, ABC, counting - but the dance moves are something different. Chose the "Chase Me" mode and off he goes. There are sensors front and rear but they are not infallible - they can't pick up low lying things and where carpet/rug takes over from hard floor, Casey sticks or falls. He will operate on flat carpet, but nothing with any pile. His cap can be turned - not sure what benefit that brings except it reduces the likelihood of being broken off.All in all, a pleasurable toy that has made a little girl happy.UPDATE; been passed on to another toddler and she absolutely adores it and tries to sing "Do dah, do dah" with it. To stop her playing we have to say "it's monkey's bedtime" then tuck it under its own little blanket, or she'd never stop.

The Scoop and Learn Ice Cream Cart is a large, colourful toy, which is perfect for ages 2+. Children can push the cart along, ring the bell, press the cash register to make a ‘coin’ sound, change the swirl colours on the side of the cart and the toy plays tunes, has games and has lots of interactive features. The cart comes with six, double sided, activity cards, which you can put into the cash register. If you use the ‘animal’ side, you will be asked to create an order – you use the magic scoop to do this and there are cones, four flavours of ice cream, three toppings and three syrup flavours. The other side of the cards have various learning challenges for little children – including stacking, counting and colours. As well as early learning fun, this helps motor skills and also imaginative play. Children can ignore the cards and just enjoy making pretend ice creams. This is great fun and is a robust toy, which can withstand a got amount of active play. The pieces all stay on the cart, to make tidying up easier and avoid pieces being lost. Overall, an excellent toy.

Casey is a clever little monkey, switch him on and press a button and he's off shouting "chase me, chase me" and playing music, he works well on both carpet and hard floors (even transitioning from hard floor to a rug without falling over). The sensors work well to help him change direction and avoid obstacles and he generally keeps his balance well allowing your child to crawl or toddle after him. Once caught (and generally knocked over) he acknowledges this and it's time to press a button to start again. This should be a 5 star product but the one thing I don't understand is why he sometimes stops after a short time and says "I feel tired", this can happen after just a few seconds or longer. This means you'll have to press another button for him to start off again which is frustrating and the reason for the 1 star dropped. Overall though a great product

I bought this as an extra gift for our granddaughters 2nd birthday in couple of weeks time, so she hasn't used it yet, but I've checked it over and had a little play, as you do. It's great! She will love it. Her birthday is in summer, so she's having a garden party with an icecream theme and I saw this and thought it would be perfect and all the children could play with it on the day too. We had looked at the wooden ice cream cart by well known brand ( M and D) and did like look of that one, but felt it was a bit too advanced for 2 year old who isn't that delicate with there toys yet. I had read all the positive reviews for it on here and other places and that made my mind up.Only thing I will say is it's smaller than I thought, but that's a good thing as it can be moved around easier.

Casey was bought in the UK, we brought it to Australia for our Grandson's First birthday. Although Casey has many levels that a child can react to, our Grandson presses the buttons, and is already after a couple of weeks pressing his favourite first, he has taken to Casey very well. When he first opened Casey up, of course he was apprehensive... a few button presses later and he was a very happy 1 year old! We all play at being chased by Casey, he is a very polite Monkey, and obviously never gets tired of the game! Casey is robust, our grandson thinks it is also fun to knock Casey over - no harm done, if fact there is frequently an appropriate phrase from Casey!!We are all very happy with Casey and we would recommend this toy to anybody purchasing for 1-2 year olds.

I love this product for many reasons. It gender neutral - it appears to be aimed at boys and girls and from our first hand experience it's been loved by both genders. It says 2+ years. Our first impression was that it was aimed at toddlers but we've seen a 6 year old have fun with it. For the money it's a substantial toy. It comes in a very big box (with a handy carry handle on top) and for the £30 price range it's great value for money. It takes a little bit of assembly but there's nothing particularly difficult. Oh and it comes with the batteries which gets a thumbs up from me! What we loved about it was it combined perfectly good fun with educational aspects keeping the wee one amused for a long time.Highly recommended!

The toy is fine, works as advertised and looks like it will be a hit. There is minimal building to do, just push fit canopy and handle and a few stickers to put on.I mostly wanted to flag here for other parents that this was delivered just in the leapfrog box, no extra packaging - it was in perfect condition but it was abundantly clear what it was - thankfully it arrived after the children were in bed, otherwise we would have had some fast talking to do! Amazon ts & cs suggest that you can select an option to have larger items like this boxed in amazon packaging, but I didn’t see this as an option when I ordered.Just wanted to warn others in case any surprises are spoiled or Christmas magic dampened!

LeapFrog 600703 "Scoop/Learn Ice Cream Cart" Toy SetThe product. This is quite a large toy with many interactive features.Play value. It can be used to teach colours, memory, sequences and part recognition. It has a lot of play value and can help with many learning tasks.Build quality. It is all plastic but very well made and will provide hours of fun and interactivity. The magic scoop needs 3 x AAA batteries supplied. There are 20 removable pieces to use and refit.Overall.It is quite an expensive toy but offers a lot of interactivity and fun. It is well made and will last through a few generations I think. A good toy with lots of learning and fun potential.

Great item. Arrived on time and in good condition. Bought this for our two year old and rarely a day goes by when she doesn’t wheel in her trolley asking who wants ice cream - she LOVES it! Not a novelty item - she’s had hours of fun with it and I can’t see an end to the fun any time soon. One word of warning - we have a six month old who managed to grab the scoop that’s attached and pull the whole thing over onto himself (it’s not heavy and he wasn’t hurt!) so just be careful around little ones that aren’t yet stable on their feet. I appreciate that there are age recommendations for toys but there are always younger siblings waiting to get in on the action!

What a cool toy! This chase me Casey monkey toy is solidly made and very attractive with bright flashing lights to attract toddler or crawers. The toy plays the usual sounds, rhymes and counting. The chase function make my 3 year laugh and run about endlessly. When my 1 year old nephew is here he absolutely loves it, he is crawling and is so fast when going after Casey.Casey has been battered by my children and is still purfect looking and not going well.I was pleasantly surprised at Casey's balance. He stays up and running around our front room, which is laminated, and doesn't fall.

The chase me Casey is a fun Interactive toy designed to initially encourage motor skills and then further learning skills through songs etc.It feels pretty solid and we'll made so it will take a plenty of rough play without breaking. It's bright and colourful too so easily catches a child's attention. The main feature of this is the fact it can "skate" around. This means the child will be running or crawling after it, helping balance and encouraging the child to crawl or walk etc to engage with the toy.So far it looks a fun toy and my 2 year old son seems to enjoy chasing it!

This was purchased as a present although our girl has one of her own. The toy is really well made, bright and engaging colours and the scoop and ice cream parts work really well. Our girl has had loads of fun pushing it round the house making ice creams for her family. There are two pull down sections in the main body of the toy which act like hidden draws...good for keeping other small toys/pretend money in.Tip, the white colours on the pink canopy section are stickers....they can easily be thrown away so remember to keep a look out for them.

This toy has been the most played-with of any of my 3yo grandchildren's toys. It's amazing how much entertainment they get out of it. For example I had assumed that once my grandson had made an ice cream for us or his toys a few times, that his interest would have diminished, but no, he's played with it every single day. He hasn't used the menu feature fully yet much, so there's more for him to enjoy as he grows. My granddaughter loves hers too.I have years of experience working with and raising children and have never seen a toy so enthralling!

7 month old loves it, she often will just watch it quit quizzically as to what it is and doing, but just watching it keeps her entertained, she does try and catch it often when it gets within arms reach and often tackles to the ground. We have wooden floors and when she pulls to ground it’s always fine. It’s yet to encourage her to crawl but I think it will eventually and I’m slightly worried about the wheels going over her hands, however it’s been fine so far. It works great on laminate and stone floors which we have, havn’t tried in carpet

Clever little toy which sings and laughs and asks you to press its buttons or to "chase me".The vouce and the music are a bit shrill and annoying which usually means your little one will probably love it. So far our toddler seems to hate it and is always either running away from it or trying to push it over. It does move well on smooth surfaces and fairly quickly but the whirring noise of it moving is really loud and I think what is freaking out our little one. Her older cousins think it's funny so overall I think it's a win
