I just love this, bought as a Christmas present, I did not know what to expect. I knew the concept behind it. However I did sort of question if it would actually work. When it was tried on Xmas day not only did it work it was quite good fun. With the length of the arms sticking out is what made me doubt it. Please do not doubt it, buy it. It genuinely is actually fun. My grandson kept trying to follow it. You just don’t know which way it’s going to go. All I can say whoever came up with this idea. They have come up with. One absolutely brilliant toy. We all know the concept it work from we all at some point have used something similar. However I can say in all seriousness. Not quite like this. Not with so many arms especially how long they are. It was the length I was doubting it for. But no had no need whatsoever once I saw it in action. I really really do love to watch it myself let alone the children. Seriously this is one toy I think all children should have. Amusing with hours of fun

This doesn’t come with batteries, so you need 4 AA cells. To fit the batteries you need to unscrew the two halves of the ball and then, using a screwdriver, unscrew the battery compartment and fit the cells. The two halves of the ball need to be fully together before it will work, there seem to be two alignment marks but these need to be much clearer. There is a small push button on the ball to switch it on and it then needs a shake to get it in action where it vibrates and makes a noise. It makes a peculiar noise, a sort of cackling and giggling, which is mixed with the sound of the motor and jumps around the floor bouncing on the rubbery aliens sticking out through the ball. After about twenty seconds it stops until it is moved whereupon it starts again. Age range is given as eighteen months up, certainly a toddler loved it. The sound it makes is strange, it gets annoying after a while, but kids love it, one for outside we feel.

I'm guilty of never reading instructions so when I couldn't get this to work initially I did change out the batteries a couple of times, it wasn't until about my 4th attempt that I noticed some lines on either half of the ball that weren't aligned, with a second twist and click I was in business. Having read other reviews, it seems to be a common problem that the instructions wouldn't have solved anyway. The product comes well packaged in a child friendly box that would allow you to touch and become familiar with it before buying. It's like no toy I’ve come across before, it actually vibrates with some force, it was quite funny watching a toddler trying to hold it still. It’s been a hit with our niece (1 year old)and nephew (2 years old) they have really enjoyed playing with it. I think it would be even more suitable for the crawling stage, following this ball around would be a real incentive.

My own daughters had this chuckle ball and yes it’s ultra annoying after half an hour but the fun and laughter the girls had was priceless. This is the same as it was 20 years ago albeit the hard nobules have now been replaced with soft plastic - don’t know why, mine never hurt themselves on it!I got one for my grandson when he was a few months old and for a couple of weeks he just held it which made the whole of his body shake which he thought hilarious ( as we all did )Two years down the line he smiles and starts to laugh before he even switches it on.A cheap and cheerful way to keep little ones ( and dogs ) amused for life!

My son (10m) loved this at his cousin's house, but he also loved the Wobble Bobble at someone else's house. We got a Wobble Bobble that was broken so got this instead and I wish we'd just gone straight for this, he adores it, it's been played with constantly since we got it and he loves to hold it or let it bounce around the floor. It's taken some pretty big knocks and been dropped and thrown on the floor, all fine!Sometimes it jiggled itself open slight but has never split in half, just needs a quick twist to lock it again. No chance of baby getting the batteries, they're inside a screw closed compartment in the centre.

It’s easy to put together, instructions were explanatory. You will require a screw driver to insert the batteries but that’s necessary as it’s a very lively, durable, fun toy.The 17month grandson was reluctant so I put it away, at first but then is 3 1/2 year old brother came after school and he loved it, and the younger one joined in. Result, we had two very happy little boys, they had lots of fun with it and of course grampa was enjoying it with them. Always love the smiles and laughter it gave them.

This is brilliant. Bought this for my one year old girl who wasn’t sure about it at first. When she got her hands on it, her arms and cheeks shook like she was holding a pneumatic drill which amused her greatly. She took it to nursery with her and she showed them how to make it work. All the other little ones loved it too, taking turns to hold it. What’s also great is it doesn’t need winding up. Batteries seem to last a good while in it. Overall it’s a great purchase and I’m happy to recommend it!

This Chuckle Ball is a great fun toy for young children above 18 months. The build quality appears to be excellent to enable it to withstand heavy use by toddlers. It requires 4 AA batteries to operate and these are not supplied by the manufacturer.Once up and rolling the ball bounces and jiggles all over the place whilst making silly noises, much to the amusement of young children and annoyance to adults and pets. After approx 20 seconds the motion stops until the ball is pushed again.

My 11 month old got this gift for Christmas. He LOVES it! We have never seen him enjoy a present so much. He now knows the sound of it (not too noisy) and loves to hold it whilst it shakes. He easily worked out that he simply needs to hit it to begin the fun (after you turn it on) and then chases it around the roon. Fantastic gift. Only downside is that the batteries run out reasonably quickly. We have changed the batteries twice in 3 weeks but it gets used a lot.

Arrived in less than 48 hours! Thank you. Does what it says, bounces around and giggles, a good size for my 1 year olds little hands and the rubber monsters on the ball make handling and playing with the ball more fun and easy for my baby too. He did get bored pretty quickly but I think maybe I bought this a little too late.. definately suitable for baby from a younger age whilst sitting and crawling.

Excellent. My nephew loved it for the time it work. This thing eats Batteries and at 4 a time it's very very expensive to feed.He loves it though, Unfortunatly I'm at the limit of my overdraft, my loan is topped out and my card is maxed all on the batteries. On the plus side my shares in durecell are now worth a fortune.Seriously, beware of the battery usage its rediculous.

i thought i was going to have a problem with putting the batteries when reading the other views. i had no problems worked straight away. does exactly what it says. my baby is frightened of it at the moment at 10 months. think its too loud for her. I have put it away for a couple of month see if she likes it when she's 1. great toy to entertain little ones.

Hi I bought this ball for my granddaughter when she was 8 months old.and she was terrified of it, Now she is 1 She Absolutely Loves her Bouncy Ball, It is made of very Durable plastic and takes 4 batteries which last a while depending on how much use it gets,But overall it is a Great Toy and Ime sorry I didn’t give a very good review on first receiving it.

Im going to be honest because of other reviews i very nearly didn't buy this toy. After seeing it on an advert i really wanted one for my 18 month old so i took the plunge and glad i did she has had it since xmas and loves it. I dont know if others had faulty ones but ours is great, i have not had to change the batteries and it works fine.

Bought this for my 1 year old for xmas, he’s hasn’t got it yet, but I took it out the box to put batteries in.Make sure u read the instructions as I pushed the button to turn it on and i thought it was broken as it didn’t go on. You need to shake it for it to work (obvious really) and it’s brilliant, my sons going to love it!
