First of all, I would like to start out as an MTB beginner, who has not done any castle comparisons so far. Perhaps it is precisely for this reason that I am competent as a skilled fine mechanic in metal and mechanics. And therefore I will give my evaluation according to professional standards, even if it is only a bicycle lock ;-) After unpacking, I am enthusiastic first, the folding lock looks well processed and feels so synonymous. This gives you the feeling that this is a representative of Créme de la Créme in this class. Everything goes smoothly, the joints glide majestically and even the key goes gently in and out. BUT ... For me it comes first to the highest possible security and I see this as possibly not optimal given.The outer lock housing mainly consists of plastic and its opening screws are also freely accessible. I can not really say how far this is relevant to safety. But now to the thing of all things: The locking mechanism. In closing, the pin of the one bracket is inserted into the lock of the other end and enclosed two-dimensionally in a rotational movement. Basically a brilliant idea! But for me this round "Enclosure" -process makes mechanically no particularly high-grade impression, at least in purely optical terms. Still, I will keep this bike lock. However, I will supplement the days with another, high-quality CHAIN MEMBER lock and thus, this, my first TRELOCK favorites as second-class decadicate. PS: I was especially worried by a TRELOCK included (application) mini-flyer, on whose title the internal "TRELOCK SECURITY" status was indicated with only "2" of "6" (!!!).

The second Trelock lock in our inventory. The length of this lock is the minimum required to secure a wheel. In case of doubt, choose the next bigger lock. Then the street lantern can be a bit thicker and the castle still reaches around them. The holder is top and holds the lock securely in position. Well, you can take the lock on all sides (right / left / up). Also overhead mounting and thus removal downwards is possible. The lock also holds securely over the head in the holder! The rubber strap of the holder is much easier to close than with abus. Slight reductions for the coating and the performance of the locking bolt. There goes more! The key must be guided precisely into the cylinder as its dust cap closes tightly.Similar Abus locks make a slightly better impression, but have the much worse frame holder.

Is very stable and looks good :) I can recommend is but nothing for s racing bike since it is difficult but for the E downhill it is topp if you want to bike the then stop at na alm or so long enough it is also :)

The castle makes a solid and safe impression. Mounting and using works well. I hope the locking mechanism works long! How the lock strikes in the daily use, has yet to show. The shipping was fast and smooth.

Functional, the fluidity of use (and I imagine the robustness) remains to be desired compared to brands such as ABUS. Given the price, I admit to being pleasantly surprised.

Super product, looks very sturdy and you can make it super at the wheel. Price-performance ratio!

Very robust. We had several bike at work stolen, but not any with the Trelock!
