The bag is actually quite a generous height, so there's room for a 5-inch smartphone to slot in on its side with plenty of room for other stuff. However, this means the bag catches on the socket head of conventional handlebars.So, the bag is perhaps best attached using the instructions for integrated handlebars to avoid restricting your steering!Even the short attachments were too long for a standard top tube but I was able to velcro them between the bag and the tube with a bit of ingenuity (-passing a piece of cardboard between the velcro layers until I had them nice and tight).
