I bought these pants for a vacation with light hiking and to wear while gardening. I love everything about them but the length, which is ridiculously long on me (5'4"). I don't have a tape, but I'm pretty sure the Large inseam is about 34". I'm wearing them cuffed up until I can find time to hem them. Other than the length, these are extremely comfortable for hiking, gardening, or just lounging about the house. I normally wear a 13-15 in jeans and the large fit very comfortably with the waistband somewhere between my hips and bellybutton.I love that there are normal pockets in the front as well as one zipper pocket in the front. It gives them enough of a "normal" look that you don't stand out wearing them to the store or grabbing a coffee between hikes but gives you the option to zip up your valuables to keep them secure. Also, the pockets are large to easily hold your phone, wallet, and keys.

So the material is much nicer in person. I was searching for fat pants thanks to covid and this pulled up, ha. They were way to long for my 5'3 height but to my happiness I found they have a sting to pull the bottoms in so that made the length perfect. Pants are always too short in shorts and too long in regular so I am super happy with these. They fit in the legs and are very slenderizing. I am about 128 lbs right now and normally wear a medium and this fit perfectly. My boyfriend even said they looked really good on me and he really liked them. I really want other colors now too. They are super comfy and light weight. I like I can wear them with exercise shirts or nicer shirts and both look good.My favorite pants now.

I'm a size 8 and a medium most of the time, and the medium fits in these. However, I needed the petite length, and as with many other pants the petite runs a little smaller all around versus the regular length (which I find a bit annoying... 5'5" isn't terribly short and a medium should stay a medium just with a shorter inseam). That said, the petite inseam is right on (likely around a 30' since that normally works for me in flats), and the pants are very comfortable. The fit is flattering, but I wish it offered a little more thigh room. The material is thin and works well in warm/humid climates, but as other reviewers mentioned, they don't feel rugged. So far so good,I liked them enough to keep them.

These pants are awesome! So lightweight, comfortable, and much softer than most of these kinds of pants. And there is no "swishing" sound... yay! But for me,they run a full size larger than the size chart indicates, and they are ridiculously long. I'm 5'6", and even the smaller size in "regular" length go past the bottom of my hiking shoes. They cannot be hemmed due to the drawstring hem. And I don't like how they look with the drawstring tightened. When they are this long, it makes them look like cheap large legged sweat pants with elastic ankles. I'm looking for the smaller size in a "short" version, but haven't been able to find them anywhere. Even the North Face website is out of stock.

I use these for travel, they're lightweight and take up little space. Great for hot climates, I like the elastic on the ankles so I can wear them as shorts or capris while being able to fully cover my legs in buggy areas. I am typically a size 14-16 and the XL fits great. Although it does some funky wrinkling in the croch area, it isnt noticeable in the black color but I would avoid the lighter gray version if you're on the bigger side like me. It's hard to find lightweight pants that dont look horribly unflattering on bigger bodies, these are my favorite so far.

I ordered the short because I found the regular inseam to be far too long. The short is a perfect fit, although I am not terribly short (5'7").The cloth isn't very durable. It can be pulled or abraded easily on irregular surfaces. I probably wouldn't wear them on a hike or outdoors adventure. I brushed against a wooden gate and got some abraded spots. That being said, they're still the most comfortable pants ever. They look nice. They're lightweight. They're absolutely the best travel pants I've owned, and I won't be wearing anything else on a long flight.

I technically can wear the small (5’4”, 126lbs., size 4/6), but have enjoyed having a medium - they are comfortably loose (though need to be tied at waist), without looking to baggy in the legs because of the flattering way the legs are stitched on the sides. There is a drawstring on the bottom that lets you since them in to turn them into capris or to keep bugs from getting in during a hike. Very similar to pants I bought at Lululemon, though much cheaper and made just as well. These are my go-to pants for summer or vacation: especially flying.

These pants feel wonderful - light weight and soft. The legs are baggy but the hips and waist fit true to size. The fashion trend it moving towards high-waist pants. I wish the rise was longer so it would be more in keeping with the coming trend in pants and fit above the belly button. (BTW the fanny pack is also coming back in style). If you want to save a few dollars, the Black cost less than other colors. I would recommend these pants for casual comfort, especially if you have fuller thighs since the legs are roomy.

These are my all-time favorite hiking pants! I purchased my first pair when I was packing for a Kilimanjaro trip and needed something lightweight and fast-drying that would be comfortable and easy to layer. These were perfect and I ended up buying several more pairs. They have become my go-to! They are super light, have a little give to them so they move with you, dry very quickly, and are relatively flattering as far as hiking pants go. Very comfortable and very durable. Highly recommended!

These are my new favorite pants! I bought three capris and two pants. My other hiking/camping pants stretch at the waist and fall down or are baggy through the knee and lower leg if they are big enough for my thighs. These pants fit smoothly with a little give but they don't stretch out and stay bulky. Size Large fit perfectly for a size 12, sometimes 14. It was recently in the high 90s and even my hiking skort liner was hotter than these pants. The vertical seams are flattering.

So I haven't had these very long so just commenting on fit (not durability), but after ordering the regular length pants from REI (which were WAY too long for me - I am 5'6"), I discovered that Amazon sold the "short" length and they are perfect! I mean, maybe still a tad long, but more or less fine. I was so happy because the pants seem so great but I wasn't willing to deal with the regular length. And I couldn't find other retailers that sold the short length.

I used to wear more expensive boutique brand of pants when I travel but I switched to these pants. The quality isn't as good as my usual $108 pair but these are still cute. Dry fast. Easy to layer long johns under them on cold days. They pick up lint pretty quickly so sometimes I have to wash them apart from the rest of my laundry. I own eight pairs now in different colors so obviously I don't have any huge problems with these pants!

These are my “utility” pants. I wear them for all the sports I play, but I also wear them around town when I’m running errands. I own 7 pairs - in long and below the knee version. They are very comfortable and stretchy enough for sports, but don’t stretch out so that they look saggy. They keep shape very well. The only negative is that after a while (a lot of wear) they start to pill between the legs.

Why don't more brands have extended sizes? Larger women like to hike and explore as well! I was purchased these pants thinking that there was a possibility that they might not fit... but to my surprise they are extremely comfortable and are perfect for hiking. I would love to wear them everyday if possible they are so light and flexible. Ended up buying a capri length version of the pant as well.

These pants are lightweight and so comfortable. In addition to being comfortable, they fit really well, not baggy around the waist, hips or thighs. They are great for movement (walking, yoga, etc), but I wear them around town, too. I am 5'8" and 125 lbs and purchased size small. I have the same style in capris and wear them a lot, too.
