Disturbingly, there's a rubber stud (like a rubber screw head minus a drive trough) protruding from under a thin felt-like lining inside the front of the helmet. If my helmet anatomy is correct it's what affixes the MIPS to the EPS liner. I notice there is also a stud at the back too.Three days after bailing pretty hard (without skiing or snowboarding for those three days), I still had a visible 'dent' in the high-middle of my forehead!Now I can feel the stud digging into the spot every time I put the helmet on. I've skied in it since and in the breaks between skiing when I remove my helmet, people comment on the red mark. My head shape is very ordinary.
