Made by SRAM, came in a SRAM box, and fit PERFECTLY over my SRAM RED (2010) levers. Here is some advice for installation:- Turn the hood upside down and pour some rubbing alcohol on the inside.- Then roll the hood around in circles until the alcohol covers the entire interior of the hood.- Shake out the excess alcohol.- Slip hood over the levers with the levers attached to the bars. Make sure you slip them over the correct side. The alcohol will dry up quickly, provide a light amont of tackiness when dry, and will not introduce any rust issues on the levers like water would.- The hood should slip over like a glove, without stretching.Do this once or twice a year, more if you have white hoods. There is no excuse for dirty bar tape and hoods. It's cheap and simple to replace.

I got this product as a replacement for my 2014 Force 22 shifters, but they don't fit quite as snug as the original. They're just marginally too loose around the lever. The end result is that they don't look perfectly straight. However, functionally they are great. They're comfortable. They cover the inner working of the lever fine. Even though they're not a prefect fit, they fit well enough that there is no need to adjust them once they're on.They've held up well over long cycle tours and many months of being outside. Solid product.

I replaced break lever hoods on my 2011 Trek Madone. Old ones were all worn out. I was worried that it would be hassle to install new hoods. I was wrong. I left them out in the sun for 15 minutes to loosen them up. Used few drops of rubbing alcohol and they slipped right on. They are perfect fit. They feel well built but I will find out over the summer how well the last. So far I am happy about this buy.

After tearing my hood, I went on a desperate spree across all my local bike shops. Many didn't carry it while others overcharged for it.Amazon came to my rescue and I couldn't be happier for the price I paid. Same exactly product with the same quality as my original hoods! While they are difficult to install, they should last a long long time. Just boil them or use rubbing alcohol before installing!

I had a little of trial and error installing these, as I didn't want to tear the rubber, but figured it out after a bit. They clean up pretty easily too. The only issue is that I'm finding that they don't quite stay in place, they tend to shift and rotate over the course of a long ride. Could be user error, something I need to do to seat them properly in place.

Hoods fit my Apex 10 levers perfectly. The rubber feels better than new. For installation I simply submerged them in warm water long enough to become more plyable and ran them over the top. Dont be afraid to strech them a fair bit in the process. It took several strong, directional tugs to get them in place but once fitted they will not budge.

If you have older SRAM Red shifters (mine were purchased in 2010), these are the ones you want. I tried the ones noted for SRAM 2013 and later, and they had extra bumps inside the grips that did not line up at all with the recesses in my early-generation RED shifters. These slid on easily with a little rubbing alcohol applied to the shifters.

i bought these because my previous ones ripped. These are oem replacements and make the hoods feel...brand new! I think durability wise i buy new hoods every 6-8k miles (every season). I think due to summer heat, sweat, etc, these are necessary to replace. I do not expect one to last a lifetime, so it's ok!

Installation can be a little difficult, but if you turn the part that fits up against the handlebar inside out and then rub a little spit on it, it will be much easier to get them on. Looks great with my yellow side wall tires, my white bar tape, and my red, white, and black road bike.

Still an improvement over my worn hoods but there’s a noticeable gap between the shifter and hood. I’m running a sram force group set so maybe it’s too old or something to fit correctly. Still a bit of maintenance that was well worth the money! 5 star product, 3 star fit.

SRAM hoods tend to split at the seam it you pull them back too much. These are replacement hoods. They don't do anything about the splitting issue, these split too over time, but what's a person to do. I have not tried Hoodz, so I don't know if they are better.

Yes, the hero image is not what you get. These are the older 10 speed SRAM hoods. They fit my SRAM Red shifters perfectly and were cake to put on. Just needed a little rubbing alcohol to get it going. Once on, snaps right into place with a little adjusting.

If you have the patience to learn how to put these on your levers they're great. They give you back the feeling your hoods had when they were brand-new. It's a great way to make your bike look clean & well maintained, and black looks good with everything.

Items I received were OEM SRAM hoods as expected in the SRAM packaging. This was my 2nd set that I have replaced, which was easy the last install. These hoods have held up well so I expect to get several 1000 miles as the first two sets.

They fit perfectly on my Sram Apex - Infact, they're identical! but they do not look like the ones in this picture, the picture is wrong! - Google sram apex, look at those hoods, they're plain all round. Good though, quite pricey.
