Decent piece of Kit,good weight, compact size and Co lour,Army Green, blends well with it's surroundings,You can easily hide among bushes or fallen tree trunks or dark grass, leaving you to sleep soundly from preying eyes.I was very disappointed however at the lack of breathability,Particularly when using a Down(Feather Filled) Sleeping bag.Sadly I had to abandon my Rob Roy Way Walk after only three nights of heavy rain,My Mountain Equipment 750 Snowline Sleeping Bag(£350+) was saturated due to a mixture of the condensation and rain and I had no extra time(I gave myself a week to do the walk and return to work)to get it dry,the last night I lay shivering in my soaking wet bag and hardly slept at all, which made me weak and irritated in the morning, the thought of another sleepless night,I was now into the wilderness where B+B or a Hotel were No where to be seen, even If they were available?was just too much to bear,I was hoping to enjoy The Rob Roy Way, not be miserable at the end of it.Due to that disaster,I went out and bought a synthetic sleeping bag(Snugpak Osprey 12) and in future hikes found this combination to be better but this was in winter in the Cairngorms and the temperature was -15C,so no condensation and I was very warm and cosy.I have had some excellent sleeps in this Bivvy Bag since then.

I've been using this tent for few years and I really love it.I'm a small girl with not much power so for me light weight is the most important thing for camping equipment, and this is the best tent for me ever! It's really light as a tent, fit in my little backpack, super easy to set up, everything is very well made.It is really small, so it's obvious that 2 persons don't fit inside, purely for solo camping. and it's so small you cannot spend time inside really. You can only lay, maybe read books then sleep. Cannot do unpacking bags or eating something comfortably. But so perfect if only you need is sleep. For me as 152 cm girl, I can put my backpack inside too and there are little covered area above head so I place my shoes there.I have been camping with this in hard raining day too but it wasn't problem.I don't think this is a common tent so if you also want to enjoy time spending in tent or camp with someone, you need a bigger one. I'm thinking to buy one size bigger too to have different options of camping but I am really happy for this product.

I got my Snugpak 92860 for the kind of outing where you don't know if you have enough area to pitch a tent, and used it in the field once (an off-trail hike) when the weather was nice (clear with low of about 36 F during the night). The experience was satisfactory. The bivy set up exactly like it's supposed to. It wasn't bad sleeping in there. I left the vent panel open and didn't have trouble with condensation. The Snugpak 92860 is well constructed and sewn together. That said, I have now concluded that if I have any alternative I will pack a tent if at all possible. I have slept in my tent in a driving rain and been totally dry and comfortable.I don't like to think about using a bivy in a rainstorm--even though they're supposed to be designed to do that.. Thus, I'm not giving it the 5 stars that it would rate on its low cost and good craftsmanship.

Great little shelter for what it is. If you are new to bivy bags, keep in mind that the "tent" itself will contact you or your sleeping bag. The Stratosphere does a pretty good job keeping outside condensation out of the inside area. However, if the outside is cold, and the inside has moisture, condensation will form in the inside of the bivy bag. That's why you want to use a moisture resistant sleeping bag so that any interior condensation that does form does not get to you. The little tent area where the head is is great. The screen works well keeping bugs out, but on a starry night, you can still see star light through the screen. When rolled up, the Stratosphere barely takes up any space. This is great for day packing, but it is also good for camping with cars with little trunk space.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my husband 2 months, along with a Texsport Fleece sleep bag. He is an infantryman in the Army and has used this bivvi shelter 4-5 days every week since! It's already been in super heavy downpours overnight and heavy winds and has performed extremely well. It will likely see a lot of snow days this winter too! It worked so well about 3 other guys in his unit purchased their own. Easy and quick to put up, take down and pack up. Color goes great with all his other military equipment. He is extremely happy with this and would recommend to anyone for military field time or regular camping.

GREAT PIECE OF LIGHTWEIGHT KIT. ALLOWS USER TO SINGLY MAN-PACK EFFECTIVE SHELTER. ADDS TO RATING OF SLEEP SYSTEM SIGNIFICANTLY; MAKES A LESS-RATED BAG FAR MORE CAPABLE OF ACCOMMODATING LOWER TEMPERATURES. WATER PROOF AND "TENT-DESIGN" PROVIDES A NICE SPACE VACANT ON A STANDARD BIVY. WITHOUT THIS SPACE THE SOMETIMES SUFFOCATING EFFECT OF A STANDARD BIVY IS MITIGATED. WOULD RECOMMEND FOR INFANTRY APPLICATION.

The Stratosphere from Snugpack is an exceptional bivi sack. Its waterproof and has a two pole head end with vents to reduce condensation, it also has a mesh screen incorporated into the top which you can zip up should a storm come your way or you can open it up to the stars. I would highly recommend this bivii if you are the 'happy to rough it' type.

Great bivvy that fits all my needs. Can't wait to try it out in a good blow and the snow. Perfect for kayak expedition as it packs down small and is lightweight. Ideal if you want to see a sunrise from the mountain tops or if you are star gazing. A good sleeping bag and thermorest mat would be advisable.

Fantastic bit of kit if your into wild camping and just want to pop up somewhere random. My only negative is once your in it, there’s not much room for manoeuvre. Sleeping on your side as a relatively chubby dude is challenging to say the least. But other than that, it does the job wonderfully.

Gets VERY condensated in cold weather and rain but perfect for drier and warmer weather impromptu stealth camping. Handy to keep in your bag. Doesn’t take up much space at all and weighs nothing. Takes 1.5 minutes to set up and less than 3 to pack up.

Haven't used it yet but it is very well constructed. Very easy set up and take down, hope it performs as well as it is made. Will come back and add my thoughts once I have used it a bit.

Well made and small package for my motorcycle travels. Used it a dozen times on a cross country trip and it is like new. Sturdy zippers and plenty of room for 6ft 195 lb me.

The bag works well. Its waterproof but condensation builds up during night. Select an appropriate sleeping bag that won't loose its insulation and it's great as a shelter.

worked perfectly for a recent bike packing trip, there was a bit of condensation in it the morning, but it was not a problem as i was only out for one night.

Found this bivy ok. Campet on the top of scafel. Wet and windy night but managed to keep dry and warm. Quick and easy to erect did the trick.
