I bought this tent as I was sick of wasting money on inferior cheap tents. I have a wild camping spot in the remote woods that I like to return to many times during the year. As such most tents I bought were not strong enough, not secure enough, not waterproof enough, not weather proof enough to leave up all year round.Enter the Snugpack bunker tent! I bought this in winter time for sale on here for £199 after seeing many good reviews. I then decided to leave the tent pitched up for a year, and then write e review.Having pitched the tent up in very cold winter,I was surprised how quick and easy it was. The other thing that surprised me was the space inside.I had walked with this tent for miles on my backpack,so for the weight I expected it to be smaller.I was mistaken. It was very spacious, leaving lots of room for backpack items.Having left the tent in winter,I returned at the beginning In march, with no spare tents, hoping it was still there and still pitched up. Indeed it was still there,It was still pitched as strong and sturdy as I had left it,much to my amazement as the weather over winter was pretty bad where I left it.Lots of wind and rain. There was leaves on top of the tent, but the draining holes in the corners were fine and not blocked. One minus,it was lightly covered in bird muck. But this was quickly, easily removed. The air circulation flaps were still open too. I did not have to adjust the tension of the tent at all.Once inside the tent, there was no water,no condensation, and surprisingly no musty smell. I was able to leave the inner mosquito tent doors showing while the covers of doors was secured back using toggles, whilst the net doors padlocked. Also I padlocked the outer tent doors too. The tent was well aired and cool.Overall I left the tent pitched all year and stayed in this tent 10 weeks a year. I never ever experienced any water, nor condensation inside. When hot in the summer I could leave the the inner tent door mosquito nets open,to cool down, they did the job perfectly, and on some nights I had to close them due a bit cold.If I had one complaint, and its a very minor one, would be the entrance doors,as they are set lower down than other. At 55 I am no spring chicken anymore and sometimes it was uncomfortable getting in and out.At 55,an Ex Infantry Soldier and experienced camper,I highly recommend this tent, even for single person use. Its listed as three man tent, but that would be a squeeze in my opinion if you have equipment. Two people with equipment would be fine as room for gear too.

I have used this tent for three separate trips to the Shenandoah Valley in recent weeks and it has performed very well so far.On the last trip, it snowed Saturday night. Since this is a "fly first" pitch tent, I was able to work my gear carefully out under the fly while collapsing the inner tent and pack it away before I had to expose myself to the outside temperatures. Then, collapsing the fly and securing the poles and stakes was quick and painless. I was done packing and ready to go in record time. The only drawbacks I can see with this product are 1) Snugpak does not sell a pre-made footprint for this tent so I ended up using a tarp for a groundcloth, 2)there is no vestibule on this tent so I have to bring my rucksack and other gear inside, and 3) the sizing is a bit smaller than indicated (a common problem with tent specifications). That is not to say that the tent is uncomfortable for one person and might even be okay with two, but three grown adults inside this tent would be quite cramped.All-in-all, a wonderful product that more than meets expectations.

I looked at a few tents before picking up the Snugpak bunker. The build quality on this tent is very good. The size of the tent is a little small and after spending the night in the bunker I think two people with packs and gear will be a tight fit. This tent is very easy to set up and seemed very stable. Outside temp was in the low 30's and I had no condensation on the inner walls but had a nice layer of frost on the outer fly. The low profile and small doors does make entrance and exit a little difficult but really not too bad. Headroom is adequate for general tasks. The side walls are extremely thin and the side pockets are attached to the walls in a way that causes any weight in the side pockets to pull down the wall.I think I will add a light weight net bag to the hook fastener that is on the top of the larger wall so that I have a place to securely store my glasses.Overall I really like this tent and am looking forward to many great nights.

I like this tent. It is a very roomy tent for 1 person or a cozy tent for 2. It has a low profile unlike most camping tents that look like a tall dome. Pretty simple to set up, you set the outside fly section first, if it is raining you can get out of the elements quickly. the tent has 2 doors unlike the scorpion 2, which allows you better ventilation if there is a cross wind at your camp site. The openings look like there is a vestibule space for your gear but the picture is deceiving there is no room for your gear. The floor is waterproof but feels thin so a footprint or tarp would be good to put under the tent to protect the bottom. The pack size is fairly small but not a real backpacking tent unless its the only thing your carrying,it can be done. For the price this is a nice low profile compact 2 person tent. Not perfect but glad I made the purchase.

This tent is perfect for two persons with gear or a parent with two littles and gear. We purchased this tent for a father son Boy Scout camping event and it was perfect! I'm 6'4" and my 10 y/o Scout is 5'1" and he and I fit comfortably close with room for our day bags inside and dry.The tent poles are some of the most sturdy I've encountered and I'm an Army veteran with plenty of tent experience. The inner and outer tent are well constructed and had no defect or flaws found upon initial inspection and first setup and use. I would like to see a few more attachment point for the inner and outer tents to connect with...this would help me worry less of my Scout creating a ruckus in the tent and ripping one of the connections loose or off.Only time will tell if this tent is long lasting

I was looking for a outiftters grade tent that could be used year around ( in snow too) and am totally satisfied with this tent so far. Fly first design was unfamiliar to me, but I can see why it was designed like that, especially if you encountered bad weather while erecting it. Much warmer than any tent I've owned but it still has adequate ventilation. I like the subdued olive color also. I recently discovered Snugpak products, having purchased and used several while hiking and wilderness camping and totally trust the quality.Be warned though, this is not a family car camping tent -you might find it a bit tight (says 3 person, but I think 2 plus gear is more like it).But the more compact size and lower profile is what probably enhances its performance against the elements.

This is a a very high quality tent that I found very spacious inside. I am 6’2” and was fine sleeping across the middle however you would have issues with three people of my size inside. I recently tested it in very heavy ran and it was very waterproof and dealt with condensation very well. Words of warning though the doors are quite small and low to the ground so if you have any mobility issues the Scorpion 3 might be a better bet. Additionally there are no usable vestibules so any kit you have needs to be stored inside and you are going to get wet if you need to cook in the rain. Almost a perfect tent for the money, but not quite. The quest goes on...

This tent can be a little challenging to put up, especially, if you're a big guy, or someone putting it up in the dark for the first time in the field. I recommend putting it up in your backyard a couple of times, before taking into the field. It is, however, a good tent, more for use in a cooler environment, then in the summer. It will keep you warm in cooler weather, accompanied with a good sleeping bag system. i like that i can dress camo netting easily over this tent, for an added, effective concealment in the field. If you're over six feet, I would consider something else, since this tent is not that big square-footage wise, inside.

Very well-made tent. I like having 2 openings and plenty of ventilation options. It does run a little heavy but if you're pre- or post-bug season you can ditch the inner tent with the net and tub and just put a ground cloth, poncho or footprint down and cut a couple pounds off the weight. My main gripe would be I'm a little tall so I have to lay across the middle and have my gear on both sides. To use this as a 2-person I would have to lay on my side with my knees pulled up so my feet wouldn't be hitting the tent.

Can't really give this a proper review 24 hours after it got here, but it looks pretty good. It is missing the "male" end of one buckle that connects the interior tent to the fly, near one of the doors. Not something that can't be overcome, but I would like to get that replaced. That said, my son and I put it up in the back yard a little while ago with minimal cursing, and we were even able to get it back in the bag without too much grunting, which is a notable feat in tent management.

I'm 6 foot and I was ok. It took me a while to work out which way is the right way to lie inside. The panel between the two doors with the square air vent is the front. So if there were two people you would have an entrance each at the foot end. Once I got that right it was roomy and kept me dry. Also if there are two of you you can get in and out without climbing over each other as you have an entrance each.

Took this bad boy out for the first winter-camp. It took me about 30 mins to fully erect this MONSTER! I loved and enjoyed every second of pitching the tent and the next day taking and packing her away. The weather outside was COLD as SH#T! It dropped down to 19 degrees at the coldest. I love everything about this tent, and cannot wait to order my next Snugpak tent!

I've had this tent for a few years now and I have put it through hell, from deep backwoods to the backyard and everything in between, I've used this bad boy in the cold and in the heat. If you remove the bathtub part and just use the rain fly it makes a pretty good almost ultralight tent with no floor. This tent has never let me down. I would buy it again.

love this tent! best tent I've ever owned. heavy duty, strong design, stands up to very high winds 50+, light, warm (and yes I am saying there is a warm tent, and I mean every word.) goes into its bag when done, and handles temps well into the negatives just fine. Justdon't think you'll be putting three people inside.

Awesome tent. Great quality. Goo Space for 2 people and some equipment. I recommend to use a tarp to have cover for your big packs out side of the pack. Tent is light for its size. Made for heavy duty camping. I am 5.11, my feet and head touch the walls. It could be a little bit longer. It would be perfect.
