I wanted to purchase an activity gym for my baby, so had a look online. What i mainly wanted was something that can grow with my baby and have lots of eye catching parts, with movement and sound.Upon an extensive search online i found this skip hop activity gym. It came with a heavy price tag compared to others on the market. However this one had so much going for it. The vibrant colours and the arch seemed really big with the ability to be used when baby can sit up too.Upon delivery i realised how huge this will be! Nicely packed, and secured i took all the parts and assembled it, taking under 10 minutes to get it ready for my baby. I love the high arch. The mat is big and can definitely be used as time goes by.

Almost gave this 4 stars but that said "I like it" and I do genuinely love it so it still got 5! I guess I'll start with the minor bad points I've had. Unfortunately the apple hanging toy has a defect where the fabric isn't stitched around the mirror and the singing birdy came unstitched and fell off of the ring and felt loop he was attached to, which considering my son is only 3 months and does nothing more than bat at them, I was quite disappointed by. I have taken photo's and am going to write to Skip Hop and see if they will replace them :)Other than that, I really love this playmat!!! It's so much nicer than any others I've seen, beautiful design, lovely colours and friendly faces on the animals.

We bought this for our son a few months ago. He was freaked out by the lights, sounds and music by many other gyms. This gym was really well made, and has so far lasted us for 3 months worth of spitting up. He loves being on his back in the gym, touching all of the different toys for their different textures and sounds. He loves tummy time on the mat, with the mirror and different textures. It collapses well so that we can put it away in its bag in the corner at the end of the day. Now that my son is starting to sit, we sometimes take off the "gym" part of it and just let him play with the toys on the mat. It travels well and is machine washable, which is awesome. We have washed it several times!

I chose this baby gym amongst others because it had good reviews from other buyers, and also I looked at the higher price end thinking it would be a better product. Not sure whether it is better or not, as I am writing this review having no other baby gym to compare it with. However, I do like it. I agree with other reviewers that it is subtle and tasteful if you don't want to fill your living room with garish plastic toys and the toys will be good to play with separately. Packs away neatly in plastic case. Very easy to re-assemble. My only disappointment is that the base mat is less padded than I thought it would be, so there is not much "cushioning" between the baby and the hard floor,

My baby is 3 months old and has always loathed tummy time, usually screaming after 30 seconds. I bought this as it looked really nice but it has turned tummy time on its head. After the 1st use she was already doing 10 happy minutes on her front. I have no doubt that this will improve further too.she also loves it on her back too. The characters have really caught her attention. Much more so than the original gym we bought. She grabs at the characters and really interacts with them with plenty of cooing! Its so cute.There are different textures on the floor which I think helps with tummy time. Also a mirror. The gym itself looks great and you can feel the quality in how its made.

We love the gym. We bought it because it was one of the best looking gyms available. Very cute and contemporary illustrative design. I like the fact that our baby who is four months old, should get at least another year out of this, because it is also designed for sit up play. My boy really likes the crinkly sun and the tummy time bear. The smaller toys are designed well in that they are mostly light and easily gripped and there is a toy to stimulate each of the senses. I think every element of the design is well thought out; the choice of colours, patterns, textures, theme, animals and the touch of Native American inspired design in there too.

This is a lovely play mat and the design and colours are very attractive. It strikes a nice balance between something colourful for the baby to enjoy and something which doesn’t offend the eye for adults! It is very quick to assemble and easy to move around, and the hanging toys are really well made and our baby loves them. Each one has different textures, colours and sounds to explore.Positives:- the tummy time cushion is a very good shape and is machine washable- lots of loops to hang toys onto- can easily be picked up by the arches and carried to different rooms- very attractive pastel colours which are unisexMy one negative point is that the main mat is not machine washable and is spot clean only.

I bought this gym for my newborn boy. The fabric quality is very good and the toys are cleverly designed. They are very soft and colourful, and contain only a minimum amount of plastic. One of the bird plays a good quality sound once squeezed - this is very cute. The drawings of the mat are interesting and well defined, with bright -but not flashy nor aggressive- colours. This create a smoothing and coherent exploring and learning environment for baby. I also love the fact that the mat can be turn into a wall art, when the baby is older. The gym is very easy to assemble, but also to dismantle and store...which is not always the case with other gym (the Fisher Price rainforest for instance).

Absolutely love this product. Its not like your typical play mat that's super colourful and clashes with your home yet still very colourful. It is very cute and looks like a little camping site, it has different levels of toys hanging, each one is different. A turtle with a mirror belly which my daughter absolutely loves, a bear that's a rattle, a firefly that actually lights up and a raccoon that has a grip. To add to these hanging objects there's a mesh that has trees and a bird on it ie a forest. There's always something to catch their attention, if they look up its the hanging objects and if they look straight ahead there's the forrest to focus on and on the actual play mat there are several

As well as being really cute, this is a well made product. It was easy to set up and looks great in my son's woodland themed nursery.There is plenty on here to amuse the baby. All the animals make different noises and there are different textures in the mat as well as some squeakers. The animals are also detachable, which is a bonus and there is a small pillow included to help with tummy time which I liked as you don't get with many of the other gyms.Although my baby is still a bit young to interact with it fully, he is already enjoying lying on the mat looking at the animals.A little more expensive than some other gyms we looked at (although a lot cheaper on here than at the department store I saw it in),

I searched high and low for the perfect baby gym and this is it! It is soft and stable, providing my little one with an excellent area to play and explore. All the hanging toys are soft as well and they all make different sounds or have different textures. There are also lots of hidden textures and noises on the mat itself allowing for more fun and discovery! The tummy time pillow is great for easing my little one into tummy time, although we don't use it so much now that she is 5 months and rolling around. She loves looking at herself in the mirror as well.If you are looking for a baby gym look no further. It is a little bit more expensive but the quality of the product is top notch.

I am very happy with this product and our little one, who is 2 months, absolutely loves it. The variety of "sound activities" is ideal for younger children as well. Some of the animals give off a sound by just being hit and don't require a grabbing reflex yet, whereas others play a tune or squeak when one squeezes them. This adds to the variety as well as encourages the baby to keep exploring. The bright colours attract the baby's attention and the different textures are also great. I think this product is very versatile and it hopefully will be the first step of introducing the little one to the nature around us.The product is easy to erect and the bag it came in is ideal if you want to store

We bought this for our daughter when she was just four weeks old. Probably a bit too early but as soon once we put her in it, day by day she started developing her motor skills, taking an interest in objects and amusing herself by punching the zebra. Now 11 weeks old she is getting more and more interested in all the activities. We use it for tummy time and this works brilliantly as well. One reviewer was disappointed there weren't more different heights to hang the animals. In fact the anchor points are at 6 different heights if you observe closely, and as the animals are different sizes, you can always put something the right height and distance away from your child.

This is a beautiful baby gym and our baby has loved lying under it since birth. Each toy is good quality in itself, has it's own activity and can be unhooked and hung in a pram, car etc. The mat itself is a good size with plenty of space. Around the mat there are various features to touch and feel during tummy time as well as a pull away mirror. I would definitely use it as a play mat or perhaps a wall hanging after she has outgrown the gym feature.There is plenty here to keep a baby comfortable and entertained. Plus it looks good in the living room unlike some of the more tacky looking ones. It is expensive in comparison to some, but well worth the money in terms of use and durability.

Love this! Originally chose it because it is has less plastic than many of the other activity mats on the market. Slightly more expensive, but worth it.My baby (12 weeks) is really starting to enjoy the tummy time pillow and exploring the mat. Each toy has something exciting about it, like the squirrel with the squeaky head, the crinkly sounding wings of some of the birds. The owl has a bell in its tummy that makes a lovely noise. The toys are detachable which I have used sometimes on her bouncy chair for some variation and they can be attached to loops on the mat as well. I can see this activity gym will continue to be a firm favourite as my baby grows and develops more skills.
