This is the best LED cycle lamp I've ever bought. It offers a good spread of light for urban and small side roads. It may not be as bright as other more expensive lights. However it is perfect for the town rider. The bonus with this lamp is, that you can use rechargeable batteries. Also it changes from green to red to warn you that there is about 3 to 4 hours light remaining. No need to carry spare batteries with this battery indicator.For the money, I don't think it can be beaten.

The Lightster is a fat German headlamp. 4 batteries kept in with a thick plastic lid, very ergonomic and easy to use. One setting off, one on, and a red light on top to tell you when to charge up. The dipped rectangle it gives you is perfect for road use, will have to wait for winter for waterproofing feedback (hopefully!).

Great light. It's bright and works well, even in rain. However, I would not recommend it for off road tracks or for long distances on roads without any lights. It's not bright enough for that.
