I've been getting really cross with the plastic bottle I use for choir as it leaks absolutely everywhere, so I thought I'd see what the metal alternatives are like. My niece and several other choir members have Sigg bottles of various colours and sizes, so this was the brand I went with.Plus points:. It's as light as a plastic bottle. It doesn't leak. The 1 litre size is plenty for a 2 hour singing session. It's easy to drink from. Stylish. Drinks stay cooler for longer. It can be washed in the dishwasher. Anyone who's concerned about plastics residues and health will be reassured that the liner used in these bottles doesn't have those problems. I'm sure it's very long lasting too,I just haven't had the time to test that part yet!. It's fully recyclableMinus points:. The bottle dents easily - mine arrived with one and I added another when it fell off the table. The bottle hasn't cracked so it's still perfectly usable. It's not see-through, so it's hard to tell if the right amount has been added for things like fruit squashes that need diluting. It's hard to get dry after washing out as the neck opening is so small (even when washed/dried in the dishwasher). I would have liked something to attach the screw top to the bottle when open - I'm worried I might lose the top very easily. It's relatively expensiveOverall it's a vast improvement compared to my plastic bottle but the minus points means it falls short of the five star treatment.

This is the third SIGG water bottle I have bought after accidentally landing on the bottle I usually take climbing and causing a massive dent. I filled the bottle with water and froze it to try to get the dent out, but unfortunately I slightly over did it on the amount of water and the bottle exploded in the freezer :PIf you have never bought a SIGG water bottle before you might be worried about the water being tainted with a weird taste. I have never experienced such a problem even after leaving the water for a couple of days. In this regard I don't think I would treat this bottle any differently to a plastic bottle. The bottles are light-weight and seal well, however being made out of aluminium they are susceptible to dents and bumps. Given the activities I take these bottles out on I see these dents as something of a keep-sake which add character to the bottle, but I can see why some people would be put off by it. In terms of the longevity of the paint on this particular bottle I cannot really advise, but other painted SIGG bottles I have seen begin to peel only after many years of sustained use. This particular SIGG bottle is a very nice looking one. The colour is what I would describe as ceramic white but with a glossy finish, and overall it looks great :)

My partner and I decided to give the SIGG bottles a try in an effort to cut down on the purchase of plastic bottles. We bought four in total - the one listed here is my 'work' bottle; my partner bought a larger one for his work and we have two 'mini' for the bedside tables. If you are worried that the water is going to taste bad, you don't need to be. As long as you clean the bottles frequently (we bought a special cleaning brush, which is slightly angled for ease of use) and rinse them daily, you will be fine. The seal is very good and there is no leakage; the 'hook' cap is perfect for lifting them and carry them around and the best thing about this product is that when it's empty it's very, very light; maybe not quite as light as a plastic bottle but not far off, so you can keep the empty bottle in your handbag and then fill it up when you get to work etc.Oh I nearly forgot, the water tends to stay cold for a long time as well. I have never tried using these bottles with flavoured drinks or hot drinks, so I can't give an opinion on that.Overall, a great product and hopefully one that is kind to the environment, too.

Just received this yesterday, and I have slightly mixed feelings about this product. To be fair it does seem well made but when the bottle arrived it had a small dent in it (not really the fault of Sigg but the vendor) it was not really worth the hassle of sending it back. One thing that did disappoint me was the finish of the bottle - I ordered aluminium finish and I thought it would have been a polished finish, but alas no, it was presented as it would look as it came out of the extruding machine with striation marks all around its flanks and then laquered (not really an attractive finish) It would have looked so much better if it had been polished prior to laquering. One thing that any prospective buyers should consider is the size, I ordered the 1 litre bottle thinking it would be just right, boy was I wrong! I found that 1 litre is much more than I need during the course of the day, I think that 0.6 litre would be fine in most circumstances. But all in all, they are well engineered bits of kit and well worth the money.

I bought one two of these as a gamble and I was really pleased that I did, so I ordered another as well! Been told I need to drink more water, so I filter it and then drink it from these as plastic, apparently is now also bad for you! Used to spend so much on Evian Water bottles, then thought against the plastic part!In a nutshell, these are amazing quality, keep the water cool for some time, the convenient handle on the top makes it easy to carry both the bottles using my fingers whilst I carry other items with my hands (if that makes sense!).5 Star all the way, they are bottles and meant for carrying water so don't expect any other surprises!Thinking of buying more when I travel! Only down side,I am always making sure I don't clatter them together or drop them in case I make a dent in the bottle!Would also suggest you buy the tablets to clean them, I use one every 6 months to give it a good rinse out or after I put something other than water in them!

Perfect. An aluminum 1 liter water bottle in heavy black. Sigg bottles are well made, bisphenol-free, keep water cold, and function flawlessly. This is my second one. The first I had for years and loved, but was stolen when a thief took my bag on the train one day. This one is just as good as the last. Made from aluminum, they can dent if struck, but continue to function. They are a brilliant solution to the problem of carrying water. The screw top has a compliant seal that helps make the closure water tight every time. The cap is not secured in any way (one possible quibble). You could always secure it to the neck with some nylon string. The threads are fine and that sometimes makes it momentarily difficult to thread the cap on.The upside is excellent performance of the interface between aluminum bottle and plastic cap.Bottom line: a great bottle. Zero regrets.

Great shape, style and tactile feel. Just the right size to carry around. Some great design points: The plastic coating inside (not sure if plastic is the correct word) makes the water taste good. The round hole in the lid is great to help me carry the bottle around by sticking a finger through the hole (don't know if that's what it's there for) and when you put the lid down, it sits in such a way that the part which screws into the bottle sits upwards so it does not touch the surface the lid is sitting on. A nice touch for hygiene. Don't know if that was supposed to happen, but I guess it was. These Swiss are damn clever. And I can't believe how many single use plastic bottles I have not bought as a result of having this, nor how much money I have saved just by refilling this bottle from the cold water tap. This is a must-have.

I never drink enough water, and my colleagues at work all had Sigg water bottles. I though I'd give one a go to see if it helped me drink more water, and it did! I'm drinking between one and 2 litres a day during work hours. The mouthpiece has a satisfying shape to it, which makes it feel nice to drink from (nicer than a glass). The water seems to taste better coming from the bottle too!I was worried that the screw-top would annoy me, but it's not a problem at all. Unscrewing it becomes part of the drinking water ritual. I also believe there is an alternative cap available from Sigg.Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone in my boat - someone who doesn't drink enough water, and are able to make use of a water bottle at work. It could be the most important purchase for my health and well-being I've ever made!

I have purchased other bottles like this but they all had images on the outside that started flaking off after just 1-2 weeks. They would even come off on my hand while I was holding the bottle and it was very annoying. I was very glad that this bottle didn't have anything on the outside. It has a nice water tight cap and fits nicely into the cupholder on my bookbag. My only complaint is that it is smaller than all the other metal water bottles I have purchased. Its not really the manufacturer's fault, but this smaller bottle was the only size on Amazon that didn't have images on the outside. I guess it just depends on how much water you drink. But I would like to have more water at one time before I have to refill it.Still highly recommended.

I am satisfied with the bottle - it does not taste like metal at the rim, the water always tastes fresh and it is pretty easy to clean (bottle brush recommended).Only bad or averse things include that I dented it in the first hour of owning it and the cap is sometimes difficult for me to remove. A couple times, if I left it in a vehicle, the pressure increased in it and I have had to use a spoon handle as leverage to open the bottle. (I am a weakling)Also, I usually put a lemon wedge in my water in Nalgene bottles but I would not recommend this with this bottle. The opening is so narrow...could probably get a lemon wedge in but good luck getting it out.I like the bottle and I would purchaseanother.

This bottle is beyond what I expected. First of not only does it keep your drinks warm and cold but you there is no metallic taste whatsoever when your drinking. The cap provides a tight seal so nothing comes out on the roughest trips. It also fits so nicely on which ever finger you have looped in it. It feels like you are holding nothing, that's how well it's designed. I mostly use the bottle when I'm riding and fits great in my bag. It is an everyday must have and the fact that it's capacity is a liter, I no longer need to spend money on bottled water. I refill this bad boy throughout the day. The white color also makes it looks like it's made out of porcelain, such a nice asthetic.

Loved the color and the overall size. I am not using it for water which is why I ordered a smaller size. I am using it for my fresh juice -- compliments of my new juicer. You normally have to drink the juice right away, but you can drink it several hours later if you keep it refridgerated and in a DARK container such as this. This was recommended by several articles on juicing. For instance, if you just have time to juice in the morining and run out the door, you can juice -- throw it in your Sigg water bottle and take it to work! Nicely made. The mouth is wide enough for a good bottle brush.

First off, let me state that I can't seem to find these in stores anymore. They are slowly being replaced by plastic bottles. They are very durable. I have had one for 5 years and it has gone to Yosemite and back. I have dropped it a few times so it has dents but that has not affected the bottle at all. I will say that the cap got moldy (the rubber part) and I tried various cleaning methods to remove the mold with no success. I bought a replacement cap that has a removable rubber ring and it works great. I recommend this and any sigg bottle to anyone who wants a bottle they can man handle.

I've been super happy with my three Sigg bottles.Sigg tip:Clean weekly (if you use it daily) with DENTURE TABLETS. Easy, fast and the best way to clean it. Don't waste your money on the Sigg cleaning tablets because they are way more expensive for the same product. Do whatever you can to avoid mold (rinse out, let dry, don't store in hot places with the cap on...that's how I got mold in mine and I can't get it out).Lightweight, durable, keeps liquids relatively cold (especially compared to my Nalgene) and doesn't impart a flavor (again, like my Nalgene).

Traveller Water Bottle indeed. I took this on a two week trip to Europe and it performed great. The aluminum body is lightweight and the loop top allows you to clip it to a backpack or keys. Since I'm pretty rough on my gear it did dent after a while but nothing major. Choosing the black colorway helps disguise the wear and tear anyways. I chose the 1 litre size which proved to be more than enough. If anything it gets pretty heavy when filled to the top. If you can fill up a lot, I'd recommend the 0.6 litre for daily use and 1 litre for long hikes.
