Very good reel!!! this is the second one I own! Have one for 3 years and still work like a new one I use it on my kayak saltwater application great tool for kayack fishing its handles any fish on the east coast stripped bass, red fish, sea bass, black fish, porguys,summer flounder, blue fish, I use the 301 high gear nice and lightweight and powerful!!! the transaction was completed nice and smooth over PayPal, shipping was fast with tracking number available all the time. Very happy thank you! I will buy again from this website.

Way better than i expected! I have the tranx 401a its paired with a 12ft okuma surf rod and 40 lb kastking braided line. Im mainly using it for leapord shark and batray fishing in the bay area. Ive had for a few weeks now and no complaints, really easy to dial in and i havent had a bad backlash yet. I wouldnt think twice about buying this reel its worth it.

Worked great for about a month, started to slow down so I went to do some cleaning and regular maintenance but turns out I can't get the side plate to open it seems to be sealed shut. Nice to have a reel I can't service, ill have to reach out to shimano about this idk who else would be able to fix this....

I absolutely LOVE this reel. I paired it with a st-croix Mojo Musky 8'6" heavy power fast action to throw big musky lures. it is extremely comfortable if you palm your lp reels, I had bought a daiwa Lexa HD before and it was way too big for me, the Shimano is much thinner and smoother and fits me better.

Ik its expensive. Trust me im a student. Put the way this thing casts-o lord have mercy. Ive had this for 3 years now and still feels brand new. Mostly use this on west coast for calico and sheephead, but i have also caught a 18 ib yellowtail and it handled it like a champ. great reel

Awesome reel fast shipping I bought this reel for my girlfriend so she can musky fish with me. Threw big rubber all day for days on St Clair with it No issues at all smooth drag comfortable to use Cant go wrong with these reels. This makes the 3rd one I've purchased

I wanted a heavier gear set up for Musky and Pike. This reel didn’t disappoint, very heavy braid, big lures and only one bird nest after thousands of casts. Drag was worked flawlessly, I would definitely recommend this reel.

These reels are super smooth and tight. The HG is able to burn bucktails or slow roll a minnow bait. If you musky fish like I do, you will appreciate the well thought out features. These reels are a pleasure to fish!

Smooth and strong but gears stripped after 2 years of light saltwater use. I’ve use Shimano for years and never had any problems. Hopefully it just a bad apple in the bunch. Will send unit to Shimano for repairs.

Great reel. Game changer for some of my smaller traditional bait casters / fly lining rigs. Fished for dorado and will be taking it out for trial runs on yellow tail and small tuna soon. So far it's a champ.

The only thing I didn't like was the price. This is a real nice reel I bought the power handle model and love it.I use it for Striped Bass, Black Sea bass, Fluke and blues, it handles them all effortlessly

Borrowed a buddy's rig with this reel on it and I was so impressed that I bought my own. After a week of heavy fishing and a few musky on the end of my line, this is by far the best reel I have ever used.

So far so good got a couple baby snook and a 9lb cubera snapper on it also will see how it holds up to the saltwater .....Update still doing it’s thing heavy salt water abuse and monster fish great real

Caught a 29lbs bluefin tuna on the 400hg and I've seen a guy land a 90lbs on the 500 model. Definitely plan on buying a 500Tranx for fishing big bluefin with poppers here in San Diego, Ca

Awesome reel. Caught nice sized fish on it. casted clear across the river with little effort. little to no back spin giving me more time fishing and less time clearing the birds nest.
