My bottom bracket on my old Raleigh had given up the ghost after many years of faithful service. After looking round at all sorts of replacements and being totally confused by all the different types and sizes, I chose this one because the screw-in part that fits the left side was alloy, not plastic as a lot of them seem to be. After removing the old, loose ball-bearing one I fitted the new one and it fitted like a dream! The hardest part was remembering which bit had a left-hand thread! Total time taken for the job was about thirty minutes, including resetting the front mech. As another reviewer commented, it's not frictionless, but it's 100% better than my old one and seems to be getting better the more I use it.

I needed this for my wife's 35 year old Raleigh Wisp cycle, because the original bearing was beginning to creak. It arrived on time P&P foc; unfortunately the package contained a bicycle bell. A quick phone call and the correct item was despatched immediately. I had assumed, wrongly as it turned out, that the kit would include a pair of bolts to hold the cranks on; the original axle had male ends. Another quick phone call and these arrived foc the next day. I've not fitted it yet, but it feels very smooth running. P.S. I wasn't asked to return the bicycle bell.

The item arrived super fast and I was back on my wheels within a day, The Shimano BB fitted so perfectly, that I took it all out again thinking something was wrong but it wasn't.Compared to the VP BB, it is worth spending that extra on a quality product.One comment though and the reason I give four stars, is that I and many others would have preferred to have seen the actual product and not the box, as that is not what we want to see.

This bottom bracket works great. I used it to replace an existing bottom bracket spindle (non cartridge) which was worn out. This has made a huge difference to the feel of the bike when pedalling. The installation is very straightforward especially since there is no need to tighten the bearings into place. The spindle moves nice and smoothly with zero play.

I replaced the half-open standard bearing arrangement with this sealed unit. I had quite some trouble working out which sealed unit would work in this bike.This product has replaced the standard component and has been running for many hundreds of miles. The pedals operate appreciably more smoothly. All issues of play and noise have been eliminated.

I replaced the bottom bracket on my mtb after it collapsed. This was the ideal replacement. It was delivered very quickly and it took no time to fit. When ordering you just have to measure the width of bike and axle to get correct size of bracket. It definitely feels a lot smoother than the last one. A very efficient service.

I purchased this for my old creaky bottom bracket that needed replacing badly. It done the job perfectly and my bike now runs better than ever. Easy to fit plus at a decent price, and I am a happy bunny. It came with the necessary crank bolts to keep the pedal arms on so don't bother ordering some, like I did! Good Stuff

fits my 9 speed free hub with bmx chain 1/8 perfect only thing is with 15t you cant take a link out so abit baggy fits a 16t perfect. with the 14t you can take a link fits perfect. odd number needs a half link chain 1/8 otherwise you must have a chain tensioner dmr best

Feels like a quality item and like it will last a long time. Bought this to make my gearing higher and have now placed order for even smaller one though strangely delivery is free on the 14T but £1.99 on the 15T that I wanted! Has made the bike a pleasure to ride.

I was replacing old bottom bracket which creating clunky noise and start getting loose.After replacement is Smooth and it seems that I have new bike.Very easy to mount it and great Shimano part performance.

A really good bottom bracket. Very well made made and super smooth bearings. It fitted into my frame very easy. Its very durable and should give many years of service. I highly recommend it.

Bought to convert an old bike to single speed. Cheap enough that I could buy a couple to try out the gearing ratios.They seem like good quality. No chain slipping or any issues with them

Excellent product at a reasonable price and fast delivery the suppliers were very helpful as my bike is 5 years old and I was unable to find a replacement.

Easy to install, made all the difference to a smooth riding experience (just make sure you measure your old one very accurately so you get the right one:)

My old bb was noisy and "creaking" so i bought this to replace it.A very cheap and easy fix,just grease the threads ,torque it to the right spec.
