These have been excellent replacement brake pads, at a very reasonable cost.I recently completed the London to Brighton 'Off Road' Charity ride for the British Heart Foundation and with 150 miles of riding over the weekend, I wanted to make sure my pads were in top condition. I replaced the old ones with these new pads in 30 minutes (1st time I'd done my own pads on this bike..) and took it for a spin. Nice firm controllable stopping motion, no squeal.. very happy!I have completed the big ride and many training rides before hand and even after some challenging downhill / x-country trails, in the mud and wet they are working well. I've had my hybrid bike for just over 3 years and use it every day, up until recently the hydraulic disc brakes have required no maintenance. They started squealing very loudly over the past few weeks and it was getting to he point where I was afraid to use my brakes in fear of the racket they made. I tried cleaning the exiting pads and used brake cleaner on the discs which did work for about a week then I decided to invest in these. The old pads did have a fair amount of surface left on them but were showing signs of chipping and wear on the edges. These replacements have completely eliminated the squealing and were very easy to fit.

Disk brakes were making a grinding noise, pads looked OK but disk was worn so I thought I would need to replace the disks. Before doing this I decided to see if replacing the pads would make a difference and it did - the grinding noise is gone.There is a slight difference to braking feel (needs more pressure to stop but doesn't grab so much) so took a bit of getting used to but this saved the cost and difficulty of fitting new disks.New brakes are effective and the bike feels like new (but I also replaced grips and chain...) I recommend replacing pads as a first step as the old pads were glazed, hence the grinding noise.

When my original brake pads wore out I replaced with Aztec pads. Very soon I began to develop some severe squealing - normally a sign of contamination but I could see no reason for that to happen, especially on both front and back.I've now replaced with original Shimano branded pads, after first thoroughly cleaning the rotor, and the squealing has gone. Not only that but stopping power on my often heavy laden Specialised Crosstrail is much noticeably better.Sticking to original Shimano pads from now on.

I replaced the pads on my rear brake to try to cure a bad squeal, not because the old pads were particularly worn. The squeal isn't quite gone (must be the rotor) but these new pads have hugely improved the feel of the braking, which was never great. I'll order another set for the front brake now. I like that they come with three split pins so you can safely remove and reinstall the pads if you want to sand them or clean them, which I do. Naturally you get the spring clips too.

After over 1000miles I needed to replace my disk pads, I could not get any genuine Shimano pads during lockdown so I settled for a pattern product that seemed good quality at a fair price. However, first lot of heavy rain and the squealing from the disks was unbearable, they still seemed effective but the noise was terrible!!Have now replaced them with genuine Shimano pads and guess what! No squealing , I recomend only the genuine pads for replacement! First class 5 stars*****

I have purchased numerous sets of these as I maintain three bikes that use them. On my bike they last around a month but I am riding most days up and over the mountains. Easy to change, good at stopping but my only issue is packaging. When I order 2 packs they are dispatched in two separate plastic envelopes which then contain two separate jiffy type envelopes containing the Shimano packages with the brakes.Would be nice if vendor could reduce the packaging.

These are the fourth different set of pads I have used with TRP Spyre calipers and are by far the best. They yield progressive braking, minimal squeal in the wet and no squeal in the dry. Other pads I used were those that came with the calipers, a set of sintered metal pads and some expensive Swissstop organic pads. I cannot comment on durability as have only been riding them for a couple of weeks but so far so good. Bed in period is very quick.

Great Shimano Brake Pads , Stopped noisy bakes. Comes with 2 different length of split pin for (a guess ) different brakes types. You only need 1 of course. Easy to fit, by using a large flat screwdriver to move the brake piston back ( only 1 or 2 mm each side.Use a bit of car brake Cleaner to remove the dust and fit the new ones.

Does exactly what it should, in all weathers and doesn't squeal like a piggy like sintered pads!Although they allegedly don't last as long as sintered pads, but I've never noticed that.I actually think sintered pads only last longer because people don't want to use them BECAUSE of the horrible noise they make!

Very fast, reliable delivery! Everything was great and OK The brake pads could be easily replaced without any problems, including the enclosed split pin After braking in, the disc brakes worked perfectly without (important!) Noises; Make sure that the split pin is held firmly without play.

I haven't fitted these pads yet but bought the same thing for the other wheel recently for a lot more money from high Street retailer and the pads and all packaging appear identical. Only gave 4 stars because they are not on the bike yet. Have no doubt they will be fine though.

Complete pad replacement set, no packaging provided but parts are branded Shimano. Supplied with three split pins for different calipers.Much better braking both sharper and quieter than the last set of cheap pads I bought, (which actually cost more than these).

Very good brake pads, They came quick & in perfect condition, They fit good in the caliper & now my brakes work better than ever no squeaks or squeal, would recommend these to everyone who needs this type of pad as they are cheap but at the same time great quality

I get through more than I should as the bike cleaning products and spray lubricant get on then and then so noisy. Horrible loud screeching heard 200m away. Embarrassing at bike trail place in public. If clean then work well. All good stuff
