The measurements are more important for this full mask than conventional mask and snorkel, so check the measurements or find a place to try it out if you are not sure it will suit you.Other than that this mask is good for beginners or snorkelers that don't feel so comfortable with the conventional setup. It cannot be used for diving though, so you have to get a separate mask for that. The advantages of a full mask over a standard setup are:+ With a full face mask you can inhale and exhale through either nose or mouth and not solely though the mouth as is the case with the standard setup which might feel more relaxing in the water+ The mask seals around the full face and it creates less water intake in the mask if you smile or if you have a moustache. There is also less risk of the mask moving in rough waters as the strap should hold it in place better than a smaller standard mask. (This of course only applies if the mask fits you as per my headline comment)+ The full face mask should not get foggy as easily as they have a dual vent system which allows the air to circulate inside. Unfortunately there was a bit of fog when my gf tested this, but nothing major and it also depends on the exercise level at which you swim/move.+ Your jaw will not get tired from holding the snorkel mouthpiece in place+ you will have a bigger viewing angle allowing for a 180 degree view+ The top snorkel system stops the water from entering the tube when submerged under water which is ideal especially for beginners or in rough waters. There are standard mask and snorkel sets with this feature, but the full face masks tend to work best. Now for the disadvantages over regular masks:- you cannot freedive as the pressure created when you dive cannot be relieved like it can in the standard mask.- the mask is more easily scratched, so you need safe storage for travelling and transport- It's larger and bulkier than regular masks- Users don't learn proper mask and snorkel skills like cleaning and emptying the mask while in the water so if water enters the mask, there is a risk that users panic if they haven't trained before going over deep waters.- these masks should be used for casual snorkeling only and not for exercise as carbon dioxide from heavy breathing could build up in the mask and lead to the user becoming disoriented and whereas that could easily be sorted with clearing the mask, inexperienced user might not handle it correctly. More strenuous exercise will also mean more fogging up and possibly more irritation from the air that is breathed into the mask as it could irritate eyes/contact lensesNow, for this mask, the quality of make seems very good and it feels comfortable to wear and on our test run, although my gf experienced a bit of fogging up, it was not a major issue. We have not tested it extensively, but from what we have seen so far, it lives up to most of the advantages listed above. I am used to snorkeling and often try to combine some exercise when in the water so this mask is not onefor me other than if we go snorkelling to see reefs only, however, my gf is not so keen on getting water in the face and she feels much more comfortable with this one, so that will be dedicated for her on future swims.

(This item was obtained free for evaluation from Amazon via the VINE programme).Over the years I have done a fair bit of snorkelling around the world attempting to take pictures and video of the colourful denizens of the (not so) deep.I have used conventional masks and snorkels – the only modifications to which has been to those which allow the use of special insert spectacles / eye correction lenses ( I am somewhat shortsighted!).The major problems which I have conventional kit has been the usual misting of the mask( spit in it or use expensive fluoro anti mist agents) and the ongoing problems I have with many conventional snorkels which are committed to give me lung fulls of ( salt) water ,particularly if the waves as significant on the reef.So , the new “ all in one” face mask system is very attractive but how does it perform in use? How well does it seal and prevent any water ingress? Can conventional glasses be worn? Does it mist up? Is there any problem with build up of exhaled air? How well does the snorkel perform in choppy weather? All masks need care ( you may need to tighten the banding ) when fitting to ensure that they seal properly ( The basic size / fit , hair , beards etc ALL can give problems with water ingress). This mask will not allow standard glasses to be worn without a risk of leaks.. There was no sign of misting . To date I have not been able to carry out a full immersion / leakage test in water. In the old days , with a traditional mask ,one sucked in air ,via mouth or nose , to test the mask pulling against the face as a test for leaks. This is not possible with this unitSo if it seals well on my face then rate 4 (if not 5) stars , if not it will merit sadly 2 stars

SEAC Ad Unica Full Face For Scuba Diving, Snorkeling Mask with 180 Degree Vision Unisex, unisexThe snorkel kit.His comes as an integrated mask and snorkel. A carry pouch is also provided.Set up.The straps that hold it onto your head are adjustable and a fair bit of trial and error adjustment is required to get the perfect fit to stop leaks and it generally being uncomfortable. However, once this initial setup is done the set is great. In use.It is ideal for amateur exploring and the valve works very well to stop water ingress while diving. The clarity is good. If it steams up spit into the mask before putting it on and rub the spit around the mask – sounds gross but this is an old diver trick that really works. It is nice to use in the river or the sea.My son has enjoyed using it and found it much better than a separate snorkel and mask for sea use.Overall.Once set up this is a very good system which works well. Being full face you get a much better field of vision than using the goggle mask type of setup.

I have not tried this in a pool but have used a similar one on holiday last year and can recommend this as a concept. It is a full faced mask supplied in a zip-up carry case and instructions. There is an optional mount for an action cam sold separately but that is not included which seems a bit mean. This is a review of the small/medium size in black/green as other sizes and colours are available. The snorkel locks in place and seals well via a rubber o ring with a fixing that holds it in place well but is really hard to remove. This may loosen up over time. The mask seals well and provides good visibility without misting up and is comfortable for my wife who has a smaller face although you do have to make sure your hair is out the way for it to seal well. The straps are adjustable and provide a good location without being too tight.Overall this is a good quality mask and looks to be well made and sturdy and is priced competitively compared with alternatives although some of these do include an action cam mount.

This is my first experience of using a full face mask as opposed to the usual separate eye mask and separate snorkel. The straps are very comfortable and hold the mask firmly in place preventing any water getting in. On testing the mask on dry land firstly it is a strange sensation as you are very enclosed and your breathing is emphasized more as you can hear every breath (think Star Wars - Darth Vader). Particularly as I generally breathe through my mouth anyway. However after a few minutes I was still able to breathe normally. After getting in the water, the first thing I noticed is the range of vision you get, much more than the old traditional masks.Swimming on the surface is fine and even when some water does go over the top of the snorkel you dont end up tasting it. It is channeled away from your mouth and drains out at the earliest opportunity. Overall I was very impressed with this design and usability and cant wait to test it in more interesting places whilst snorkeling.

An unusual looking product, but it really works! I've always struggled a bit with the old snorkel and mask combo, and found holding the mouthpiece quite tiring, especially in choppier water. This on the other hand is much more comfortable and provides a better experience overall.Being a full-face mask, the pressure is applied move evenly, rather than pinching on the temples and nose as is often the case with traditional eye-nose masks only. The view is also much improved, allowing you to catch movements in your peripheral vision which you would normally miss. This is key if you are trying to observe wildlife, also found it meant I had to turn my head less and scan less for sightings, again improving the overall comfort of the experience on my body.So give it a try, I'll certainly be planning to take this on future holidays as well!

FIT====If it fits your face it's rather fun. It's a smart looking mask with a silicone skirt which had a nice fit.COMFORTABLE============Yes. They it's a typical full face design for snorkelling-full face, It's easily adjusted too.STYLISH=======Hmmmnn. It's OK. Just like all other goggles really. You buy them for their purpose rather than if they look cool. It doesn't look silly or bizarre, just practical. This is prettier than the other goggles in the range. I rather like it.WATERPROOF===========Yes.FOG====It didn't fog at all, I'm not sure if there is a anti fog coating but it was very clear under water.PROS=====Well constructedWaterproofcomfortablelooks ok

I really enjoyed trying out this face mask, compared to the old traditional separate mask and snorkel. I would always end up getting some sea water down my snorkel, especially if it was a bit wavy but with the Seac, there is a valve stopping this happening. You also don’t end up with the salty sea water taste in your mouth from biting the snorkel. It looks great in black & green and was easy enough to put on, once you got the hang of how to hold the straps out of the way. The fit was very comfortable and so far no typical fogging up of the mask. Finally, it’s great having the full 180° view you get immersed in the water, you get a real feeling of swimming with the fishes.

This is a full face scuba mask from SEAC. The key attractive feature is the field of view (180 degrees) that you get from this mask versus a more traditional half-mask. The mask also has a really smart feature that the inlet has a seal which means if you do get immerse the mask will not fill with water. However, this mask takes a lot of getting used it and it is not for everyone. It works very well swimming long the surface and looking down into the water. My main annoyance is that I found it steamed up quite easily and could not leave it on for too long.

This full face snorkel is actually quite good.I was sceptical but the fit is good (I had size medium / large), to the point I had no water ingress around the sides of the mask.Equally the inner partition around the nose and mouth also has a good seal - which is REALLY important as a bad seal can lead to CO2 build up within the mask and unconsciousness as a result. The full visor view is good and this does allow you to see a lot more than during traditional snorkelling. As such I give this 5/5

Was a bit wary of the integrated design at first but the kids have taken to it like ducks to water! The seal is very good, the snorkel part stays high and mostly out of the water, which is something they sometimes struggle with on normal mouth and strap mount snorkels. The only negative is you can't plug the snorkel with your tongue to dive and clearing water isn't easy. But for the incredible range of all round vision and the low level of fogging, this is highly recommended.

Excellent, tried for the first time recently. I have been a snorkelling for years and a friend of mine told me about a full face snorkel. It took me a couple of holidays to come around but this year I thought why not give it a go and purchased this one. Very impressed. No leaks no steaming up...!!,Seeing people’s faces when you emerge from the water is funny too so guys suck your stomach in and stride...? Great bit of kit..?

14.2.2020

First mask I've used that doesn't leak or fog up when used.Vision very good with out any distortion.Only negative due shape of face plate peripheral vision is very limited. You need to constantly swivel your head if your in an area where there could be hazards present to ensure you maintain awareness of there proximity.

Finally a mask that I can use to snorkel without worrying about breathing weirdly! It fits well, is easy to use and is well made. Like the fact that it comes in a carry case too. It does feel a bit weird at first but soon becomes intuitive to use. Great item for enjoying the sea!

Used this on holiday recently and had a great time with it. Never used a full face mask before and it was definitely a lot easier and convenient than the classic models. It had good visibility, it didn't steam up and was relatively comfortable.
