This type of full-face snorkel is gaining popularity, and offers some benefits over the traditional tube and goggle design, which goes back many decades now. Purists might find it over engineered and bulky, but it has its place.First and foremost, the whole face and mouth is covered by the mask, so your mouth is free of obstruction. That benefits some users who can feel claustrophobic from having a rubber bite piece filling their mouth, and the wide front of the mask gives a greater sense of openness, with a wider angle of vision.Various people make these type of masks and I generally find that the established scuba companies like the Italian firm of SEAC make the best job of it.Some reviewers have said they find the plastic brittle or flimsy, but that isn't my experience. My sample mask fits together firmly and the snorkel locates and clips securely. The mask frame feels pretty solid actually, and is quite weighty. The plastic deforms rather than cracks when you try to bend it, and that's a good thing.The silicone inner fits snuggly against my face and makes a very good job of creating a water-tight seal. This is a mask I trust, and one that is very comfortable to wear. It works best for the clean shaven, and beard hair will break the water seal, so beware.The downside of all this is the weight and bulk, both of which are significantly greater than the traditional tube and goggle system. If I was taking a trip by car I'd have no hesitation taking this mask with me. If I was going on holiday by air, or backpacking, it would be out of the question for me, and I'd definitely take the more compact and light-weight route. So, in the right circumstances this is an excellent mask from a reputable and well established brand. Four stars from me.

My husband is a huge fan of these full-face snorkels as he finds that he is able to get a better, wider view and they tend to feel more comfortable for him - he dislikes having goggles right around his eye sockets. The positioning of the tube up and over the top of the mask rather than the old-fashioned tube around the side is much more practical and less fussy to deal with. You don't have to have a separate piece in your mouth as the air all flows through the mask and he finds it more intuitive to use.SEAC are experts in their field and this is evident in the design and the quality, it feels really solidly made and it fits my husband really well with comfortable flexible silicon seals,which don't tend to leak.The only downsides are that it doesn't come with a bag to keep it in - I would have preferred this, as it keeps it from getting scratched and also that it isn't the lightest weight or most compact item - so if you are planning a long walk down to the beach - it might be bulkier and heavier than you might like - although my husband says it is worthwhile!

The Libera is SEAC's top of the line full-face mask, pricier than the Unica and Magiga. I'm not sure what differentiates it from the other two though. They seem pretty similar. The materials are good quality. It's weighty and uncomfortable until you become accustomed to it. You can see more than other masks, and the inside remained fog-free when I used it.Possibly I would have settled for one of the other masks in the range. I would also check the sizing carefully before you buy.

Fantastic mask. Really good quality and fits perfect. The silicone strap is very comfortable and easy to adjust. Haven’t used it yet as just got back from a holiday where I was using a cressi duke mask. That ones very good but this one is far more comfy on the faceOne thing to note that I’m a bit disappointed with. In the photo it looks like a hi viz yellow colour which is what I ideally wanted. It’s not, it’s a bright green.

This is brilliant. Works perfectly, no fogging, no problems with water getting in. Easy to use with the clips on the side. Great in you just want to float on the top and watch the fish and things.... you can dive down with it on but it’s slightly more difficult than just an ordinary mask because of the extra volume of air within the mask. Personally I’ll never go back to using anything else. Highly recommended.

I found this product first class , it does exactly what it says on the box, very very well made, soo easy to use,all you do is breath normaly. I apsolutly love it love it,very well made,easy to breath normally, I cant find anything not to like regarding this mask,its given me soo much confidence, im going to buy another for my wife. worth EVERY penny. well done SEAC. GREAT product..thankyou so much.

I am quite water phobic and I am not the most confident swimmer. This mask takes all of the stress out of snorkeling by keeping the water out of your face. You can breath much more normally and because you feel less anxious it is a much more comfortable experience. It completely transforms how you feel in the water.

Just got back from Cuba where I went diving on the coral reef this snorkel was brilliant to use loads better than my old snorkel the viewing & breathing was 10/10 for me only problem I had was was that you can not dive with it because it pushes you back to the surface but still I would buy it again.

these were a new product to use until recently and as a family we are really enjoying using them. they fit so well, snug but comfortable and work well for people who cant handle having a large breathing tube etc in the mouth. well made and will last well. stays clear when in use.

This full face mask and snorkel works really well. The mask fits comfortably around your face. It works more easily than a traditional mask and snorkel because the mask stays clearer. Great fun
