Bought this for the occasions when I want a less bulky camping setup compared to my glamping gear. First off I think the storage bag is too small. Even packed from the factory the mat is a very tight fit. Rolling the mat out you just open the valve and let it suck in the air. After a while it expands enough for use but I always add a few breathes to firm it up. I find it to be very comfortable and supportive. On my side I found my hips and shoulder to be off the ground. In fact I let some air out so I would sink in a bit more. Coupled with a Sea to Summit pillow it was great. Packing away is aided by the clever valve. Pop the valve open all the way and the under pressure air rushes out.You then reverse the inflation valve So as you roll the mat the air goes out but doesn’t return. I rolled it twice to get it as tight as I could and the bag was very tight. Maybe they use the same bag for both sizes. Mine is the large mummy shaped so has more length and width which may be why the bag is so tight. The mat comes with some repair patches and also comes with patches to work with their pillow to stop it sliding off the pad. Not tried that yet. Overall I think this is a great pad and only loses a star for the condom snug bag.

This mat is very quick to inflate and deflate. Is very comfortable and has a nice feel on top. It doesn't make a horrible crinkle sound when you move. The valve is very clever and very simple to use, for the one way airflow to deflate all you do is open the valve, turn it over and put it back in. When the bed is properly deflated it fits in the bag easily. Very light because it is made in a "mummy" shape to save weight. Going to be using mine for a tour across America by bike. The only thing wrong with it is that it doesn't defy gravity, so if you sleep on a hill you might slide, but I'm sure most people could figure out a way around that ;).

This is the most comfortable pad I have ever slept on. Even thou it is only 2.5-2.75" thick and not 3 as advertised, and it is a pain to roll up, I can get it in the included stuff sack but Soon I will by a compression stuff sack to put it in to make it easier. Still gave it 5 stars because of comfort. My wife agrees to all the above for her as well.

I need a pad when camping. I sleep on my side and this pad was great for that, plenty of support. Packed down nice and tight, though I did get a compression bag for this guy and ditched the sack that came with it. I wouldn't go camping without it now.

Wouldn't be without this. Motorcycle camping means space is a real issue, this was a great solution. I will say though with that comes a tight fit in the original pack, be ready to put forth some effort.

This mat is way better than expected. Just open the valve let it do it's thing and for me about 3 breaths into it and it prefect. Super comfortable and warm on chilly nights.

Support with elbows? Upholstered anyway.
