I use this on the rear of my Tour Easy recumbent. Great bike but there is a tendancy for the rear wheel to slide out on hard turns and gravel or wet surfaces. I took a couple of spills with the stock tires until I mounted the Schwalbe durano. The tire coumpound has gripped on gravel and slippery wet ashfault several times when I would have been down and sliding on most other tires. Low rolling resistance and pretty good flat protection in a high pressure tire. Four stars only due to the tendancy to pick up small bits of gravel and glass that have to be removed before they work through the tread. A quick inspection before each ride or after riding over glass is necessary.

I am a schwalbe fan, so my opinion may be bias as I have 5 other sets tyres of this brand.The tyres look fine, fitted them without strugling. It is hard to comment on puncture portection as it is down to chance, but the grip is very good on slippery, muddy winter roads.I have noticed they behave well and gave me confidence with cornering at speed on doubtful roads surfice. Would recomend them. The weight difference against other top of the range winter road tyres may be off putting, but frankly I have not noticed any slugishnes, and rather loose a smidget of speed but not have to stop to fix a puncture whilst shivering.

Great rough road riding without the weight penalty!!!I live in Bend, Oregon where most back roads are chip gravel. This tyre really smooths out the ride. I'm on a carbon frame, and rolling these tyre sat 80-85 lbs makes it feel like a soft steel frame. BUT, they still have the lateral rigidity to hammer out a sprint with that pressure!A fabulous tyre all around!Can't wait to ride these on my next trip to the Italian Dolomites!!!

Got these tires to replace my OEM Specialized Espoir and find them to be very similar if not better. Good protection for light gravel riding in the forest and good for protection of roadside debris. The compound is nice and grippy and it is nice how there aren't any colours on the tire wall so it matches any bike. For me, these were very easy to install and I only used one of my three tire levers. Great buy for price.

Red tyres to match my bike. Fitted easily over the rims, avoiding the battle I have had in the past with some tyres (inc Gatorskins). Early days to comment on durability, but survived the Etape Caledonia intact and remain puncture-free after the first 300 miles or so. Feel a bit more robust, and possibly less marked than my previous Michelin Pro3. Good early impressions.

These tires are used on my tandem with aggressive riding and hold up very well. They offer good traction in both wet and dry conditions and last more than one season of 1500 miles. Resistance to cuts and other punctures seems to be very good too. I recommend using these and buying them from Bike Tires Direct.Moose

Feels quite sticky but of course that soon goes when the bike is used. Simple to fit with no tools, I had no problems mentioned by other reviewers, just push the tyre into the well of the wheel all the way round and the last bit easily pushes over the rim. No punctures yet but that could be the tyre or just luck.

I commute about 25 miles per day in Philadelphia and was getting 2-3 flats per week on the 23c Hutchison equinox tires I was using. I have since logged over 1000 miles on the 25c Schwalbe duranos and no flats yet. Ride quality is improved as well as I can run about 10 psi lower.

Really good tyres, I used a set of these 28c tyres for the Coast to Coast ride I completed. These tyres held up really well over 3 days with varied terrain and a slick rolling resistance on the road. No punctures over the 3 days even with the weight of my paniers being full.

I've used these over all sorts of terrain types and surfaces and not one puncture or any other issues with this tyre.They seem to have a nice, low rolling resistence and maintain and a good speed.(I use these on my 26inch wheels and fit with no issues)

Bought for my fixie. They have been on the bike since the beginning of last summer.. They are wearing very well and not had one puncture yet. A couple of minor cuts but that's expected when riding the streets of London. I am very pleased with them.

It's very hard to get hold of 28-451 tyres, don't think that this means you'll get something of lower quality as this tyre is superb. Very hard wearing with minimal rolling resistance yet great purchase on the road. Highly recommended

....and I'll use again. Last pair lasted me all summer of 2013 and didn't really need swapping out but...well you know. Roads I use to go to work on are akin to a third world country's roads but had no punctures last year.

I was expecting it to be harder to fit but it was quire easy. Feels durable, haven't had a punctured inner tube since.It came packaged in a huge box, but unlike lower quality tires it can't be folded.

Very nice tire quited easy rolling thin and light I put these tires on my moulton to replace a pair of kojaks which I a wasn't to happy with because I felt they were too heavy loud and bulky looking.
