lovely, fine, soft cotton, so comfortable, so warm, even stylish within its parameters! Now that silk has priced itself out of the market as far as I'm concerned, i am more than happy to have these as a replacement. very well-made, good quality and true to size. Also, unlike silk, it can be washed in the normal wash and washes well, regains shape etc. My one criticism is that it's a little bit short, for a vest. If I bought more, I would go up a size in the hope it, and the sleeves, would be slightly longer
