Firstly, just to clear up any confusion, this is the exact same seat as the Raleigh Avenir Snug seat, which sells on Amazon for £5 less - my Raleigh Avenir is even branded as a Polisport Boodie although the packaging was Raleigh.I've had the seat for just under a year and have used it extensively with my 2 & 3 year old toddlers during that time and have been very pleased with the fit and build quality of the seat. Fitting on to my bike was a doddle. Even with a derallier cable running down the back of the rear tube I was able to fit the bracket without problem. The clamp includes a separate plastic pad which stops any damage to your paintwork when you tighten it up.Once fitted the quick release mechanism means you can easily detach the seat when needed, although removing the seat one handed while pressing the bracket release button takes a little practice. The seat has plenty of adjustment in the harness and the foot supports so can grow with your child. The foot support also incorporate securing straps to stop you child inadvertently kicking you as you go along. The seat cushion is pretty thin, but adequate - I've not had any complaints form either of my children about being uncomfortable. There have been a few negative comments about this and the Raleigh Avenir seat regarding issues with the seat securing bolt pulling through the bottom of the seat. I have had no problems with mine and after a year of use the seat is perfectly secure. I suspect the problems are a result of over-tightening the bolt. The bolt is held in place with a nyloc nut so doesn't need a lot of force to keep everything tight enough. All in all a very good product and when compared to even the cheapest alternative from the likes of Hamax, very good value for money.

I was looking for a cheapish but safe and comfortable seat to take my daughter out on bike rides with us - the Polisport Joey was exactly what I was after. Although basic, the seat is sturdya dn easy to fit, with the bracket being mounted nice and easily on the down-tube of the bike, suing the Allen key provided. The instructions were nice and clear. My daughter loves it, she is nicely held secure by the 'Y straps' over each shoulder and a child-proof clip fastening in the crotch area. Her feet are safely secured by the foot straps. I really like the quick and easy way the seat unclips from the mounting bracket to fit onto the one I've put on my wife's bike (bought separately),which allows us to easily change between our bikes. Any negatives? It doesn't recline, the seat pad is quite thin, but these are very small issues that I didn't want to pay more for, which is why I went for this one in the first place.

Well made and very functional.Used this all summer/autumn for my 3yr old boy. Must be comfy as he has fallen asleep a number of times in it.The construction is well thought out and has a strong hold to my 26" mountain bike. I find you can still do offroad trails without much discomfort as the twin bars which attach to your bike act like a suspension system for the seat. The harness and footrests are also well thought out and work well. The only draw back is the design of the release button. As commented on by others it takes a lot of strength to get it to push in and then pull the seat away. My wife hasnt been able to do it yet but im sure it will slacken with use.Well recommended and i find theBlack and Red colour is a nice combo.

I've been researching child seats with some vigor, at the well known care accessory centre and various cylce retail outlets, this seat is gentle on the wallet and does everything you need it to do. Its lightweight without comprimising on the safety on the product, its easy to assemble, approx 15 mins to atttach to the bike, only issue I have found which can be resolved fairly easily is that the front cog's gear change cable runs down the back of the upright the seat attaches to, therefore clamping the cable and for its first outing I lost the smallest cog, not a major concern as we I had no intention of going up a 1:2 hill with a large 2 year old on the back, and the fun we had together more than compensated.

First off, I will admit the padding is very basic, and this plastics are fairly thin, but for this sort of money, I am more than happy to give it 5 stars! Our 1 year old is very happy in the back of it, the flex in the materials is enough to soak up the bumps, and although the straps are basic and unpadded, they keep him fastened in just fine.I would say the clamp is a little harsh, fairly sharp edges, so it could of done with some rubber sleeves in the packaging, but I just stuck some old inner tube around my seat tube before clamping it up tight. In short, as I will use it rarely anyway, I would recommend it to anyone!

After reading many reviews on strength of the chair and its safety one person mentioned the strength for tightening a screw through the chair and they split it. With this in mind I fitted the chair securely and tight without any splitting or cracking the chair. I often think that sometimes when a review is a good one that it must be from the staff or retailer of the item in question, I am giving this a 5 star rating as I am really happy with it. I have nothing either to do with the making of the chair or the company that sell them. Want your child to be safe and secure on your bike...buy this one.

As the majority of these types of seats are £35 - £45, I think this one is a steal at £17. I was looking at a £35 one the day before mine arrived in a well known motoring and cycle store and it was no better in quality than these. Very easy to fit in about half an hour although as I've ordered two, the second one will probably take me 10 minutes to fit now. The seat is also detachable from the bike with a quick release mechanism so I would highly recommend.

Absolutely delighted with the seat! More importantly, our two-year old daughter loves it! It's lighweight but strong enough for the purpose and easy to fix to the frame. The child seat restraints are secure although the release mechanism is a little fidgety when you only have two hands! However, it is super value for money and the Amazon delivery was fast and cheap (we live in Spain).

Very quick delivery and very pleased with item. It was the colour expected and seems very rigid and stable. It attachs to and from bike very quickly. My child is 2yrs old but quite tall and it fits him fine. I have a normal gents cycle with no suspension. For the price I would certainly recommend as I don't know what difference the more expensive seats could offer.

this is a great buy, very happy with it indeed, I don't actually have kids but I wanted one of these to carry my stuff on a long cycle trip, worked out much much cheaper than panniers and could carry way more stuff. I used it for far in excess of its weight limitations and have never had a problem with it, it is strong, sturdy, well made and fits extremely easily.

The Polisport Boodie child seat was easy to fit. The instructions were very clear and so step-by-step as to be almost boring... Colour was what we expected, it didn't seem flimsy and the method of attachment would surely fit almost any bike. The seat is very easily removable without the need to take all the mount off. it just clips off.Very good value for money!!

Me & my son are over the moon with this item, me because Amazon has saved me a few quid with comparison to local retailer prices, not to mention the joy & delight brought to my 2 year old son. item carries the same weight as other seats & does the same job as much priceier ones great item, & well done Amazon.

I have been looking at bike seats for ages in retail shops and they all rrp over £40. I have 2 children aged 20m & 4 whom both fit in the seat. It was easy to fit onto the bike - however i would check firstly that your bike is compatible as i think that on all dual suspension bikes the seat does not fit.

Needed something quick and easy to use and this does the job perfectly! My little boy loves going on the bike with Daddy. He is a very active little man and we had worries about fidgetting and moving about but have found this product to be very safe and secure. No problems at all at present!

This is by far the cheapest bike child seat I've come across. The instructions are very easy to follow and therefore the seat is very easy to attach to the bike. Doesn't have loads of padding/cushioning for a child but this only a minor issue. Overall an excellent product at a great price.
