Received this and have had a brief play with it on a Canon DSLR. Provided you operate it within the indicated range it works fine. If you try to go beyond the indicated range then you will start to see a big black cross on your image.Build quality is good, results are also good with little to no distinguishable colouration. On a more general newbie note, these types of products probably need to be used in naturally dark conditions for example at or shortly after dawn or shortly before sunset. In open daylight even on a cloudy day I struggled to get my shutter speed above 5 seconds even with the ND filter set to max. That is probably common sense if I had given it some thought.I also used it at dusk and here it worked very well,

This product arrived quickly, and as described. There are bad reviews regarding these variable ND filters, regardless of brand. They work on cross polarization, and under strong blue sky, or when using near the maximum of the ND strength, you can get a dark X in the photo. This will happen with all variable ND filters, even the expensive ones. The only way around this is a dedicated ND filter (Formatt Hitech, Lee, etc).

This works well on my Panasonic FZ1000 camera. The last and darkest 2 or 3 dots need to be avoided since there is a big x pattern due to the fact that its made of two polarizing lenses. This is common on all variable filters of this type. You just need to know how to use it. Open up filter to focus. Works well to create foggy ocean waves effect, 3 second exposure on a cloudy day. Maximum range is about 7 f stops.

Works great, photos look sharp from my Canon 700d with kit lens. One weird thing is a purple haze at nd2000 but just a fraction less and it clears up. This is probably because it's not supposed to be used at this extreme end, I had to use a 30 second exposure at iso 6400 to get a well exposed image.

Great product but beware that you cannot use it completely closed down as banding appears. This is a common fault with variable ND's. I'd still recommend it as a useful tool for controlling light/depth of field, particularly for video.

Some banding at max but otherwise really good product, got some lovely shots of stream and moving water at shutter speed of 25 seconds.

Used only at full ND2000 and it blocked everything except a wall light. Seems OK and can't wait to use it as intended in spring.

For £ 26.99 difficult to find something better. Price/quality ... a good choice.
