For their size these binoculars do very well. The image is bright and sharp; eye relief is good for glasses or without, with little field loss or kidney-beaning. The focus range is large, so they work for very near-sighted vision, and the adjustable right lens allows for a wide range of eye correction difference. Colour is excellent. Collimation was spot-on in my pair.The magnification and field-of-view might not suit long-range birdwatching of shorebirds, for example, but would be good for general viewing and theatre. Astronomy requires much larger apertures, and a support, or image stabilisation.For the money, these are good value. Nikon no longer makes them (they were an anniversary re-edition of one of Nikon's earliest binoculars)

I sold my Leica Ultravid 8x20 binoculars for these Nikon 6x15 binoculars which are equivalent optical and mechanical quality and the 6x magnification is much easier to hold steady without losing much magnification. I feared the 15 object lens might be too small but images are bright due to the excellent porro optics. I love them and carry them everywhere.

Just like a binocular version of the famous Questar telescope. Clear & sharp image, solid build quality.
