Every so often something is designed that becomes so iconic and classic that there is no need to look anywhere else. Like the iPod or Coca Cola, once you have experienced the Moleskine diary, nothing else seems to satisfy.About the size of a smartphone, this diary has a soft-bound durable hard-wearing cover which is flexible and keeps its shape well throughout its life. I have been using these diaries for five years now and would not consider using anything else. There are similar cheaper diaries available but they never quite come up to the class of the Moleskine diary. As I plan by the academic year I use the diary for most of the 18 month period from July onwards. By the end of its life, the diary essentially holds its shape looking a little dog-eared which only adds to its charm. The diaries have the look and feel of a 1950's film-noir policeman's notebook where the detective licks the tip of the pencil before making an entry. Moleskine actually make a clip on pencil that attaches to the top corner of the diary. I haven't taken it that far yet but do have a Moleskine pen designed the same way. My handwriting is not that neat but the combination of pen and page layout make my entries, scribbles, and crossings out, look classy. This is an indication for me of how much thought has gone into the design. It is stylish in an understated way, easy to use and well worth the investment. The layout is designed to hold a decent amount of information in a small well organised space. The diary section itself has the week-per-view page, giving space for basic appointment information, (The weekend spaces are half the size of the weekdays) the other page is a simple lined page which gives space for additional notes. This is particularly useful to record any changes in the schedule, additional details or upcoming related appointments. You can pack a lot of information into it this way and it works just as well as a diary twice the size. There is a 2019 calendar in the front, followed by monthly planners (a month per page) up to December 2019, then the same for 2020. There is also a 2020 calendar. There are some miscellaneous features at the front, international dates, time zones, weights and measures conversions and, the really useful bit for me, two weekly timetables. As some of my work follows an academic timetable and some is self-employed, I am in different places at different days of the week and operate on two distinctively different weekly schedules during the year. These timetables record my basic weekly structure and I can then fill in the unique weekly details in the main diary. At the back, there are a couple of pages for notes and a little wallet containing three pages of stickers that you can use to mark events in the diary. I find the wallet useful as a way to keep receipts temporarily. The only drawback that I can see is the way public holidays are recorded. The diary is designed as an international edition, the same for every country. The country's initials are printed discreetly in the top right-hand corner of the day of the holiday. this can be very easy to miss, particularly when flicking forwards to plan ahead. It is worth writing them in when you get it. I have been caught out a couple of times. All in all, this is a beautifully designed, well thought out diary that you can take anywhere.

Last year I had a planner that was one day per page, and did not like the set up at all, so was very eager to get one this year that worked better- having all the days on one page with a lined page opposite is great for me, I can note in day-specific events and then put general planning, reminders etc. on the opposite page. I thought it would end up being huge, especially at 18 months, but is actually about half way between A5 and A4 and is slimmer than expected, another plus making it easy to carry around. As you'd expect from Moleskine the paper quality is great and there are a number of good planning tools at the start (good calendars), as well as a handy pocket on the back cover. This is definitely going to be my go-to planner going forward

I have bought these diaries for years and they are great. I love the extra large size which is a bit bigger than A5 so an A4 sheet folded in half fits inside neatly and I have more space to write. The lined pages opposite the weekly planner pages are brilliant for lists and notes. The extra lined pages and pocket at the back are really useful as well. The paper is quite thin but I write in pencil so it does not bother me and the ivory colour of the pages is easier on the eye.The most helpful thing for me is that it's an 18 month academic diary. I work in education and it is so useful to have those extra months until Christmas for forward planning after the summer holiday. It saves me having to juggle two diaries in the summer months.

Brilliant little diary offering a week to a view, with facing page of lined paper for extra notes - a good balance between size and functionality in my opinion. At 3.5” x 5.5” it slips neatly into an inside jacket pocket and the rounded edges mean it doesn’t catch taking it out of pocket or bag. Handy little expanding pocket inside the back cover too for tickets and receipts, and it comes with three sheets of sticky letters and symbols if that’s your thing !The paper is of necessity quite fine to save bulk, so best to use a biro or pencil to prevent bleeding through. This is the third one I have bought, and will continue to do so as long as they are available - delighted with it

Perfect for me as I don't always get the chance (or clarity!) to write everyday but because there is a good sized extra page alongside each week I can write more of an overall view of the week in general or an indepth thought process when I need more space. The paper is a little on the thin side for using an ink which flows really well but is fine for using a biro style pen, I'm sure it's better for the environment so I'm not complaining as every little helps apparently (not using any paper at all would probably be a better idea in theory though I guess!).Still if you have to use up our precious resources for the sake of sanity like me then I do recommend this diary!

I aim to use this agenda as a daily to do list and diary so that I keep track of what I have done and manage what I need to accomplish. It’s very useful for someone who has regular meetings. You can add notes on each day or on the ruled page next to that week. The only thing I disliked was the colour not being turquoise like the product image suggests. It’s very green!! BUT to be fair, I tried to take a picture with my phone and, in fact, the camera changes the colour of the book. Nothing we can do about that! Still does the job it’s meant to do!

Been using this for 6 months at my work. It is used daily to keep track of tasks and ideas. On one side is a 7-day planner and on the other is a page of just lined paper. It's super useful in my opinion and so far my favourite way of organising tasks. There's some other pages for various useful things and you even get a sticker page!Considering this planner goes in and out of my backpack every day and is constantly used, it holds up really well and there is barely a scratch.Really happy with this one and well worth the money.

I have just received the 18 month pocket diary and I am very pleased with it. It is compact and well designed. I particularly like the weekly diary pages with a page for notes opposite. The elastic closure is strong and the little pocket of stickers at the back is a fun addition. The text is rather faint, which makes the information pages difficult to read. I would have given it five stars but for the awful packaging which doesn't seem to be recyclable and is much too large (see photo).

I love this tool. It is perfect for me - I use mostly a digital agenda but this is perfect to keep a (terse) paper trailor reminder of appointments. I think it won't fit if you have lots of appointements each day though because it is compact and each left page holds a full week. I like the white sheets on the right to take notes or keep to-do-lists. Basically, perfect for me. My second one and I can testify the other one was sturdy over 18 months.

This is about the 6th year that I have used this diary and think they are brilliant. Yes they are pricy but they offer really clear view of the week, room to write additional notes and because they are 18 months allow you to write dates way off into the future instead of cramming everything into a minuscule space at the end of December. Also I still love a paper diary as I can quickly review where there is space in my life. Can't live without it!

This is an excellent diary with lots of room to write, i just ignore the times down the left hand side of the page, its very small so doesn't get in the way. The inside of the page shows the cheshire cat and there is a small page of alice in wonderland stickers. I have brought christmas stickers (not included) to brighten up the christmas pages, and it still leaves plenty of room of writing. I will certainly buy more of these.

I like a Moleskine 18 month diary - it suits my purposes and the layout is perfect. This one is decorated with pictures from The Little Prince, which is cute. The stickers are also Little Prince stickers so not in the least bit functional. I enjoy using this product but it's way too expensive - as are all Moleskine products - for what it is. I guess as long as we keep buying them they'll keep shoving up the prices. My bad...

This 18-month daily planner is absolutely beautiful. I love the blue Alice in Wonderland theme that is on the cover and on the inside too. The page per day format is perfect if you want to use this as a journal. I also like the monthly grids at the front of the book. The paper is the normal Moleskine quality and handles my black gel pens just fine. There are also a few blank pages, timetables and travel planning pages.

I’ve bought this planner 3 times now. It’s perfect for my needs. I love that the week is on one side and lined paper in the other for notes and to-do lists. There’s plenty of space to write in appointments, meetings, and reminders on the weekly diary side. I use this as a teacher, and I find the notes side quite handy. It’s the usual Moleskine quality. The soft cover is nice and allows the book to lay flat.

This is a useful journal for work or study activities. Quality of the paper and overall design is excellent. The cover stains too easily with marks and doesn't look very professional in meetings. I'm having to wash it multiple times a week.Price is okay but feel it's too high as the cover fails to deliver for me. Will buy again if they update the cover as I'm a fan of everything else.
