These binoculars are very good value and have an excellent optical quality that is as good as much more expensive binoculars from other manufacturers. They are particularly suitable for people who wear thick spectacles, because their eye relief of 18mm is unusually large. However the disadvantage of the large eye relief seems to be a reduced field of view of just 91 metres at distances of 1000 metres, which is significantly smaller than the 119 metres of the Minox BV 8x25 binoculars. I wear spectacles that are thin enough for me to cope with the 15.5 mm eye relief of the latter, so for me the Minox BV 8x25 (which has a similar price and optical quality to the Minox BD 8x24)

A very competant set of compact binoculars suitable for spectacle wearers. Very good eye relief. Very compact as both lenses are hinged. Pity they are made in China and not Europe but hey ho. Optically not as good as my Minox 8x42BL's but that is because of the inherient limitations of small objective lenses not a fault in their manufacture. I had a requirement for quality compact binos and these fit the bill perfectly.
