I am retyping my review after a year in the hope that anyone looking for a GREAT tyre will stop here. I invested in my first pro4 last year due to safety concerns with the stock continental which performed abysmally in the wet. Several falls including a very near miss with a car that was too close beside me.I cycle around 400 miles a week (long work commute plus weekend leisure) on major roads and country lanes with some very steep hills and tight corners. I needn't slow on a corner even when going over a wet metal grid. This tyre is fast and lasting. All for less than 30 quid.To put this in to perspective, I bought a Vittario green stripe for the winter. 1 st puncture within a week leaving a noticeable hole in the tread.

4 month review: No punctures yet, regular short-distance commuting in London - bit of debris and broken glass etc. but not an extreme amount of abuse. Excellently low rolling resistance. Was easy to put on as it has no wires in the beads - it comes folded up in a box. No tread pattern for water, they are essentially slicks, with decent rubbery grip.If you scratch across the rubber with a fingernail you can tell it has dual compound with the center stripe being about 1.5cm, which probably explains how it can have both low rolling resistance when going straight and good grip when cornering. It's certainly confidence-inspiring in the dry.The other reviewer saying he needn't slow when cornering over wet metal is absolutely bonkers.

I'm liking them so far. Had a couple of 2.5 hour rides. Tires seem very grippy. They tend to pick up everything from the road, sand, etc. can not even get the tires to spray me with water in the wet, They just grab everything. I went from 25C to 23C, I do not notice a difference to the negative. These look nicer on my Wheelset. Can not comment on flats yet, obviously have not had any.

Light weight, great grip for tight cornering even for lighter riders. I use these for summer riding, and find them the best for long mountain passes where I need the extra grip in the corners. I would therefore recommend this for crit racing. They usually last for the whole summer season, I get about 4,000km out of them.

Good quality tyre, seems to hold well on wet surfaces but unable to comment on its durability as have done only a couple of hundred miles on it so far.

Got them yesterday, first ride today. Very happy with rolling resistance and I can tell the material has high puncture resistance. So far so good!

On my second set. Pretty fast and grippy, occasional punctures and very easy to get on and off my wheels.

Except some spaces where I did not have how to trace the shipment, I got the product right. Now to roll!
