I replaced Continental ContiSportContact 5 that I found fronts had only lasted ~20,000 miles (mostly motorway & dual carriageway), after much deliberation I opted for the Pilot Sport 4's based on multiple reviews showing consistently better wear compared to their Continental counterparts and negligible difference in performance against the ContiSportContact 6's.Overall I find the steering feel is considerably more precise (given the EPAS on my vehicle), compared to the old ContiSportContact 5's, the dry grip is discernibly better. It should be noted the old tires were still 2mm tread and were down to their summer only marker, so the dry grip comparison is broadly fair.I feel less confident comparing wet grip for the aforementioned reason, worn ContiSportContact 5's are not a match for new Pilot Sport 4's, but I can say I have no doubts over their ability to match or exceed having experienced heavy rain and significant standing water with a reassuring amount of consistency and braking performance.Durability will require an update once I get through another 20,000 miles so I can only advise seeking out some independent reviews to see how it stacks up.In terms of noise, they are no louder than the ContiSportContact 5's, though they do have a slightly different pitch, for me its preferable at 60mph (97km/h+).Definitely happy with them after two months of driving with them.** Update **So at 53,000 miles now and while I have worn the fronts and am on a second set from ~43,000 miles I changed them early due to season (I had hit winter and was 1mm from the dry only marker). The main review remains the same, wear is still better and driving feel is still better in my opinion, as there are distinctively different traits with these tires I like.I do now know from two (mild UK) winters though that these take longer to warm up and provide grip than the Continental's, so if expecting a colder winter I think I would be swapping them out for some more tolerant all season compounds; but overall they are very consistent in grip levels as they wear down.Still happy with them, enough to have gone on to buy another set. Like everything though, I do expect to do some research again when I swap out next time.
