You must be sealing polyurethane or polypropylene based materials for the sealer to bond, disregard any negative reviews where there might be a silicone or non poly coating because just no.This stuff is incredible, I've used probably about 4 before this and they all turned white and peeled off. This seam grip takes all night to cure but once it's cured it's extremely strong and flexible and waterproof. I had a huge rip in a tarp, I used this to repair it and then tried to pull it apart, punched it, picked it with my fingernails, poured water all over it and tried to run it off as hard as I could. Nothing budged. I've also used this to repair a puncture in a self inflating mat,a rip in some boots and sealed the seams of a cheap dry bag which now inflates like a balloon. If you had problems with other brands I can tell you that this is your best bet. Can also tell you if you risk trying to use this on a non poky material it will not work. So research before hand and don't complain if you try it and fail.

Can be a tad messy to apply and I could have done with the longer brush that's pictured. Mine didn't come with that. I ended up removing the nozzle brush and using that as a small 'paintbrush' to apply it. This worked well. I ended up leaving mine to dry overnight as it was still tacky several hours later but it was worth it and it dried to a really good 'rubbery' type finish which I've no doubt is watertight. Can't comment on exactly how waterproof it yet as I haven't been out in the tent yet but when I do, I'll try and update/add to this review. So far though, a great product and I'll be carrying the spare tube with me in the mountains for on the spot repairs of clothes and rucksacks.Great stuff.

I purchased this specifically for fixing Mountain Equipment Pit Zips that fail if you leave your jacket in a hot car.So the result is a success after masking up the zips and using heavy books as an overnight press. The good bit is that the glue has a rubberish feel to it so any excess glue that has gone into the zip mechanising can be removed by rubbing it hard with your fingers.Moral of the review - Mountain Hardwear need to address this frequent problem with their jackets.

This is a great tent sealant. I had to sew a repair into a tent and when finished i wanted to seal up the sewing marks and this stuff is amazing. It comes out like glue but then when dries is seals clear and like a silicon flexible feel to it. It is completely waterproof and a small tube goes a long way. I would say though that when applying make sure you are in a ventilated area, as the stuff really stinks!

I ordered this seam sealer as our tent was leaking a bit in heavy rain, going to wales this was expected again. The sealer worked as expected , it went on well and dried quickly unlike others we've used in the past.We had a chance to test if it worked in a heavy downpour the day after treating which proved it worked well.Ive put 4 stars as we only recived 1 pack initally, but was resolved quickly.

So.. I should have looked at the comments before ordering. This is one tube not the two I thought I would be receiving.Rant over, this is a great product though. Easy to use and it does what it's ment to do.Little tip. I have found that if you do get a little dribble of the seam sealant somewhere you don't want it to go then antibac floor wipes take care of that perfectly

This is an amazing product, I accidently tore the tent (on the top) my son a was going to use a few days before our camping trip. We used the seam grip sealant ( can be a little messy if not careful) on the 2 inch tear and my son cotinued to sleep in the tent through a very rainy trip and kept very dry with no leaks.Excellent delivery service and very reasonable priced.

The picture of the product shows two tubes of grip, this is misleading as you are only getting one. We thought we were getting two for this price as there are other places you can get this product cheaper for a single unit. Might be worth changing the main picture in future, so no one else is mislead.

Does what it says on the tube....bought it to repair a hole in my puffa jacket and is holding up very well, even after being washed in the machine. It was quite easy to use, but it now has a very shiny area covering the hole.....still it's better than all the feathers coming out!

Does what it is meant to do and is a good product but why does the seller persist to advertise this product and show 2 tubes, YOU ONLY GET ONE !!! I knew this in advance as I'd read it in a couple of the reviews. Please stop misleading people either intentionally or otherwise.

This stuff repaired a double air bed mattress that was very expensive and I didnt want to just throw it away. It sealed round the electric pump to the flock material no problem and has held securely. Would use this product everytijme for plastics and rucksack repairs.

Have used it for many applications on seams in my tent and an awning to seal gaps and holes and to double seal seams. Used it to seal sewing holes when adding a new 4mm awning strip to an existing awning, thus ensuring all holes were sealed and it worked a treat.

I have a big Thermarest type air mattress which was deflating slowly every night. Once I had located all the holes, I used this stuff to seal they all and go over likely placing for future holes and I have not had a leak since. Great to not have to use patches

just used this to reseal the seems on the Canvas my 30-year-old camper . its a rubberized solution but seem to flow well into materialonly been on a week but seems to have done the trick and is stuck fast to both the material and rudderised sections

Used this to repair an L shaped tear on my rucksack. A demo on YouTube suggested using gaffer tape on the inside and the sealant on the outside. I was a bit generous with the sealant application and got a few drips but the rucksack is now repaired.
