Awesome tire! I was so looking forward to getting this tire on my Intense Tracer. My only gripe was the shipping window that Amazon gave me, it was literally 6 weeks wide. Just my luck, the first day I leave for vacation, it gets delivered. I know this because I have a Ring camera set up. There it is, my awesome new tire, just sitting on the porch. I was hoping the mailman might have put it to the side of the porch, but no, there it is right in the center. It should have had a flag on saying come steal me. No more than 2 hours later, that's exactly what happened. Some dude came up and liberated it from my front porch. Again, since I have a Ring camera (I'm beginning to think this should be a review for my Ring camera)I get to watch the whole thing in real time. It was awesome. The photo attached is of society's finest taking my package. As you can see, the package is nice.Now, I know exactly who this contributing member of society is that stole the package, I even know where he lives. I figured, great, I'll just take this to the police and we can have him arrested and I might get my tire back. Yeah, the police pretty much just laughed it off. If it's under $950 here in California, it's a misdemeanor and the police don't even want to deal with it. Thanks prop 47, thanks Jerry Brown. I'm sure the gentleman that stole my tire probably sold it for $2 or traded it for some meth, so I guess if stealing my tire helps him get wiped off the face of the earth any sooner than he would of if it hadn't been for my tire theft I'm ok with it. $50 seems like a small price to pay to help eradicate this gem.As for the tire, I'm sure it was awesome!

Excellent semi slick tire for those looking for exceptional smoothness and exceptional cornering grip. Shoulder very revised. This is the silkworm version. Attention that once mounted the profile is very flat and therefore gives the best of rims with a maximum internal width of 22 mm. The carcass is a bit narrow, more than a 2.3 inch it is a 2.2. within its ambit an excellent highly recommended product

I switched from a dhr2 rear to a minion ss and immediately noticed a difference in roll resistance. The ss is a much faster tire and is great for the dry or mildly wet sandy/hard packed trails I mainly ride in Florida. Paired with a minion dhf front it’s a dream in the corners. I wouldn’t however trust is very well for steep downhill descents, heavy thick mud, or wet slick rock.

Exactly what I was looking for: fast on the straights and clingy through the corners. The Minion knobs are so soft you just want to cuddle them, but they would eat you alive like a smushy made-in-Taiwan alligator. I run the Minion SS for the business up front with a Vee XCV for the party out back. Perfect 29er singletrack destruction setup.

The jury is still out on how well it fits my 30mm ID rim. People have said that's too wide of a rim because the side lugs will contact the ground, increasing rolling resistance. I'm running mine at about 25psi without issues. Traction is good and cornering is above average. I like these tires so far, coming from a 2.35 Ikon.

I ride in sand and roots and this tire works well as my rear tire. Mounted tubeless and about 18-20 PSI it floats well over the sand and grips the roots. It turns well and there is not too much resistance on flat packed ground.

Great for trail riding, much faster than the dhr/dhf. The downside is a compromise in grip when climbing rocks, it tends to loose grip even when dry, makes you watch your front/rear wheel weight division very carefully.

Decent tire. Rolls fast not so good at braking on kitty litter. Mounted easily on flow ex seems a little narrow. Imo the rock razor is a little better all around. Still it seems to be a good tire.

Monster traction and great pedaling efficiency. This tire lives up to every expectation I had. It chews anything you take it through yet rolls like a dinky little XC tire. Well played, Maxxis.

I am generally enthusiastic about Maxxis tires - in comparison to Schwalbe they are very easy to mount without tubing and seal off quickly. Rolling behavior and life span also.

This a great tire for aggressive riders. Fast, and grippy enough. They definitely break loose easier than a DHF or DHR, but they’re predictable and consistent when they do.

Excellent tyre, being used on my Wife's mountain bike, not too heavy, plenty of grip and rolls well enough for tarmac use as well. Great tyre at a great price.

I bought a pair for my son's bike. We thought the treads looked anemic once they arrived but these are well suited for loose dirt. He loves them.

Best rear tire i ever had it came on my new bike and i can not have a other one, nice speed on flat surface and nice grip on offroad .

These are amazing on front tires. Low rolling resistance when in forward travel, deep tread for control when cornering. Unbeatable.
