Awesome tire! I was so looking forward to getting this tire on my Intense Tracer. My only gripe was the shipping window that Amazon gave me, it was literally 6 weeks wide. Just my luck, the first day I leave for vacation, it gets delivered. I know this because I have a Ring camera set up. There it is, my awesome new tire, just sitting on the porch. I was hoping the mailman might have put it to the side of the porch, but no, there it is right in the center. It should have had a flag on saying come steal me. No more than 2 hours later, that's exactly what happened. Some dude came up and liberated it from my front porch. Again, since I have a Ring camera (I'm beginning to think this should be a review for my Ring camera)

I have a Specialized Stump Jumper that came with Butcher Grid tyres.I run tubeless and after a good innings with the Butchers the rear finally succumbed to a flint inflicted gash.Game over for those bad boys with a whopping 3" of traction.So I thought I'd try something different on the rear this time. And I'm glad I did.These still have shed loads of traction but offer a lot less rolling resistance on the asphalt before I get off-road.There's high praise for the new tech in adding extra protection on the side walls and against flint and other jagged materials. I guess the proof is in the riding.If you don't hear from me again, I have either not had any bad experiences on these,

I've been riding the downhill version of the reworked (DHR II) tire for a season at Northstar/Tahoe on a Santa Cruz V-10 with great success. Now that the tire is available in a tubeless-ready trail bike version I've got it on my Nomad rear along with running the Maxxis High Roller II in the front and find its a great combo for NorCal type trails: some soft loamy tracks, muddy trail and dusty/rocky trails.The tire handles them all with predictable grip in hard cornering as well as more bite while braking. Having ridden several brands on the same bike setup I can say this combo is the best I've experienced.

First of all, love Prime same day delivery!I got this for my Trek Stache 5. I am actually using it for a front tire. Feels great so far. Seems to stick much better than the Bonty Chupra that came with bike. I live in SoCal and ride lots of loose over hard pack terrain and I feel a lot more confident with this up front. I have done several rides with this tire now, including one this morning where I set several PRs on Strava going both up and down. Like others mentioned, tubless set up is VERY easy, not at all like the Chupra. Very happy I got this.

Tires with a good balance of weight / versatility / strength. I tackled very difficult routes with e-bikes (therefore with a certain weight) without structural failure problems. In my opinion, the shoulder is balanced for a while on all routes, and I feel safe and secure to go without worries on stones and rough paths. The price here was among the best available on the net. The product also arrived in a nice bag / backpack that can be used to change clothes when returning from the tour. Both the product and the store are recommended.

These 29er plus tire look good on the bike and they grip too. Ride them in any terrain and they’ll eat it up. 29x3.0” tubeless setup on my XC hardtail. They barely fit but it works on my setup. Since I’m just a regular dude with a bike and not a pro or anything I like these tire for the look and the grip. I don’t care about speed or big jumps. I ride the trails mainly for fitness and the fun that I get out of it. These tires have been great with no issues so far.

I gotta say this tire make a big difference, especially if you're a rookie rider like me. With probably a little less than 100 miles under my belt, this tire makes a great difference in my performance. Tons of grip and traction and a lot more confident on my rides. Definitely worth the investment.I paired it with a High Roller II up front and the combo grips the trails giving a lot more control

For the record, I am a beginner to mountain biking area. I had Bontrager Jones ACX B on my bike and I was slipping and sliding in the trail when I go over roots, rocks, leaves, and cornering. It made me even more nervous to ride on the trail, so I was always on my breaks when I am going downhill and cornering. After installing this tire in my bike, I feel so much confident on riding.

Bought the dh casing version for an 8 day trip to Mozine/Chatel, had endless amounts of grip! Ran the tyre at 23psi most the week and never burped or flatted once. Truly an amazing tyre, best ever ever had on the rear (I gave it some punishment as well). Bought this version so it’s a bit lighter for trail riding back home and it’s fantastic as well. Maxxis all the way!

Excellent beefy tire. My only problem is that it is so tall it rubs the frame on my 2017 Stumpjumper making it unusable. Nothing against the manufacturer or the tire, I knew fit was a risk when I purchased it. Sealed up tubeless better and easier than any tire I have purchased. Have the DHF 29x3 on the front and have no issues with it being too tall, fits fine.

Before buying this tyre I would ride on the street scared and alone. Now I have fitted the maxxis Minion dhr to my small full suspension bike I have started tackling the Downhill World Cup Series. Without this tyre I was a mere shell of a man but now I am blossoming into a full grown adult. This tyre has changed my life as I'm sure it will with yours, enjoy.

Exactly what I was looking for: fast on the straights and clingy through the corners. The Minion knobs are so soft you just want to cuddle them, but they would eat you alive like a smushy made-in-Taiwan alligator. I run the Minion SS for the business up front with a Vee XCV for the party out back. Perfect 29er singletrack destruction setup.

I replaced my Schwalbe Racing Ralph with this tire, and I cannot believe the difference! The added weight is totally worth it in the added grip that these tires bring. I am riding so much faster and braking a lot less with these tires. This is the first time I have rode on Maxxis tires, and I don't think I will ever buy another brand.

Very good tyre. I am running DHF 2.5 in front as well. Super crazy grip on rocky Arizona trails, great through deep sand I just put the power to the pedals Maxxis Minnions get me through anything. I am very happy with the purchase. I swapped my bike with my friend he wanted to test my tires he ended up purchasing the same set up. ??

I have had these tires for 2 months now, they have incredible grip, in the wet I have not done a single washout, even in dammed in the bikeparken (floattsbro) my friend washout but I was not close, I plan on getting him a couple DHR II, you can control when you want to lose grip for faster turns in dust. Fully recommended over DHF.
