So far I’m very happy with this lock. It’s made of a chain covered in a tough fabric material, attached to a plastic and metal number lock. It is very sturdy and couldn’t really be broken with bolt cutters easily. The weakest point I would say is the lock, which looks like the plastic could smash quite easily.I don’t really want to test this though.On the plus side, the metallic number lock is made of metal, and is really easy to turn to line up your numbers. Very clear white numbers on black are easy to read, and the instructions on how to set a new number are incredibly easy to follow.The black tough fabric cover the chain looks well made, I also like the Master Lock logo emblazoned down the side of it.

The castle is very good. It is definitely very thick so it is not very easy to crack it. The lock is not a light weight. So for those who put the lock around the neck or around the arms will quickly feel the weight. So either into a bag or hang around the bike. The castle was otherwise very well processed, which I also recommend every case of this prouct. A small thing has disturbed us during shipping. The small products are delivered via DHL. At the same moment I bought a bike. The bike came over Hermes within the 2 days. And we were informed about Hermes on the day before. However, we got the information from DHL that we should get the bicycle on the next day between 10 and 13 o'clock.

The fact is a thief if determined enough will get through any lock. A lock is not much more than a deterrent to make a thief's work harder and to discourage from your bike. This lock looks the business. It is thick and long enough to chain your bike to a fence or post. It is easy to set to our own 4 digit combination. A thief trying to work out your combination will take which he will not want to take unless he is very lucky. The combination has the advantage of not having to take a key so one less thing to lose. It is heavy and weights about 1.2kg. You can buy much cheaper locks which would not be nearly as good as this one. This one will offer more of a deterrent to a thief and be harder to break through.

This looks and feels like a decent bike chain lock. The chain is very sturdy but also heavy - not the sort of item to be lugging around in your backpack.I like the thought that has been put into protecting the bikes paintwork by covering the chain in a nylon sleeve as well as the combination lock which saves the hassle of carrying keys around with you. As yet I have had no problems but, to be fair, I have not given it a great deal of use.

Bought this to secure a pedal bike but the chain is far too heavy for that purpose. My error though as I probably should have realised that when I bought it! Have since bought a smaller chain for the bike and use this one on a boat that needs securing. Nice product but fairly heavy so more for the heavy duty item eg Motorbike, trailer, boat rather than something which you the dead weight on you all the time.

Although undeniably heavy these locks are excellent - I had my bike stolen when it was secured with an 'ordinary' cable push bike lock so did not want to chance that again hence my purchase of this product. I do not believe it would be possible to get through this with bolt cutters and I feel the weight is a worth while sacrifice for peace of mind.

We bought this lock for our 11 year old because he kept having serious problems with the key - bike lock ... it jammed or didn't open or close ... With this lock there were no problems, everything works super fast and he doesn't always have to think about his key, where he has rummaged it again ... :-)

OK so I work at a hospital and there is slightly less chance of the bike being nicked. however Its never worth the risk., This is so much better than the previous chain I was using and its really strong. I'm seriously impressed. For the price you can not go wrong and will not be disappointed.

Does what it says on the tin - it's a fairly heavy duty chain wrapped in fabric with a combination lock that you can alter. My bike hasn't yet been stolen so I can't comment on how this would fare against bolt croppers but it should at least be a deterrent to the passing opportunist thief.

It adds weight to your everyday cycle and is a bit bulky to be wrapped around the frame when not locking your bike but I suppose that make's it so strong and safe. The combination lock is much more convenient for me than carrying an extra set of keys everywhere.

Haven't used it much yet but it certianly looks sturdy! Only thing to bare in mind is that it is quite thick so could be difficult to fit it into small places if trying to lock bike to something where there isn't a big enough gap to thread the lock through.

Fast delivery. Great quality product, gives reliable security, as the chain is sturdy. I love the 4 digit combination lock - it means I don't need to always carry a key with me, like with other bike lockers. Totally recommend it if you care about your bike.

Seems to be secure lock but compared to others of similar standard reasonably portable for the average cyclist. We like the combination lock as it saves the risk of losing keys - although we realise they are a little less secure. Very good price too.

Liked this combination chain lock so much that we now have several of them to secure our bikes. They are a little bit on the heavy side but it is worth it for the added security they provide, and we just wrap them round the frame when cycling.

I had three of these locks but now only two. Bike locked to a railing, unfortunately in a quiet and secluded spot, returned and bike gone.This is a good lock but if you cannot afford to lose your bike use a heavy D lock.
