We already have the red and yellow cozy coupe so we bought this for our younger son's second birthday. Both boys (4 and 2) love it, and it has lessened squabbles over the other car (which, to be honest, my 2 yo still prefers, possibly because it is lighter). The fire truck makes the boys work together as to make the hose work you have to pump and spray at the same time.My only issues with the fire truck are 1) the whole pump attachment just comes right off, which is useful for filling it up, but it detaches so easily that the fire truck and hose equipment are rarely together, and 2) the spray from the hose is really feeble, which makes the boys lose interest after a while,as it takes a lot of effort for not very much spraying. All the same, we're very pleased to have the fire truck in our fleet!

I was a little dubious about buying this as a couple of reviews said it took 2 hours to put together and needed drilling. But as it looked such a good toy once assembled, I took the plunge and ordered for my 2 year old sons birthday, and I am so glad I did.It took about 40minutes to put together, it does need some screwing together but it's not difficult if you own a screwdriver, my husband did it fairly easily, does need a little bit of arm power as some of the holes are not drilled all the way thru, but there are markings for where it needs to go.Both of my sons, aged 2 &5 totally love it. The water pump works brilliantly and soaked Nannys and grandads with ease, much to my 2 year olds delight.Definitely worth the putting together bit to see them enjoy it!!!

My kids love this fire engine. However, the spray did not work. When the water tank is flipped over, a lot of water came out through the base of the pump. So it seemed air (and water) was leaking from the parts. I contacted the company and they offered replacement of the hose and pump, but even with the new parts the spray did not work. They then offered a new water tank. In whatever combination, the spray did not work. At last, they sent me a set of a water tank, hose, and pump that they had tested. And the new set worked fine.So if you have a similar problem, keep reporting the problems in details. Their customer service is making a good effort, even though the manufacturers may not as good.

This is just brilliant!!! The kids love the vehicle and spraying, well anything from plants, pretend fires, trees, sheds, fences, washing and each other!!! Only down side was I needed to add some PTFE tape to the top of the water chamber as when pumping to build up the pressure for the hose the pressurised air escaped causing the water to just dribble out rather than squirt. With this simple fix and a water pipe clip screwed to the side on the plastic ladders the hose now works well and clips in place so the children can ride and squirt at the same time without getting soaked by the dribbles from the nozzle. All the children love it and wear the fire fighter's hat we have for it as well.

It's really fun to have the fire hose component on this truck. My son spends more time spraying things than driving around.I have two small quibbles with the water tank. First, when full it makes the truck tend to want to flip over backwards fairly easily. Second is that when the tank is "pumped up" and pressurized it deforms quite a bit. It would be nice if the tank didn't feel like it was going to push its way out of the back of the truck when pressurized. Granted, it's never come out, but it just seems like they could have engineered that part better.

This is a fun machine! Its for Christmas - son will be 18mths - so unsure yet about reaction but I know it will be a good one. Wasn't too fiddly to put together, I was quite proud I managed it myself. Did need a bit of brute force and yes you need a drill but if I can do it anyone can!! Took me approx. 1hr to put together and you need to put every last little screw in place, just read the instructions and it will be easy. Some reviews say its a shame there isn't a door but one side is lower so its quite easy to climb in, part of the fun

I live in New Zealand and I bought this online for my 2 year old Grandson. He had recently visited us in NZ and loved playing with our garden hose. He also loves fire engines so I thought that this would be the ideal present with the functioning hose on the back. My son tells me that it is very sturdy, like all little tikes products, and although it needed some assembling it is excellent value for money and the wee boy loves it.It was delivered on time and in excellent working order.

my fire engine mad son loves this toy however for a little tikes toy its not as good as others we purchased. had it less than 6 month and the hose snapped and due to bad weather its not used often enough so the hose breaking is not acceptable especially as it snapped from the inside. annoying that it can't be replaced as little tikes are not prepared to help unless I pay for replacement part but it seams its a common fault with this product.

Bought this for my grandsons 2nd birthday. He loved it, and spent most of the afternoon squirting water at all his party guests and overwatering plants! The water carrier and hose can be removed which is a good thing. On a downside it comes unassembled; many parts and some of the holes needed re drilling. The truck is well made, but I can see that the hose maybe a problem as it doesn't look as if it will withstand rough handling.

Bought this for my grandson`s first birthday though he is probably a little too young for it yet, but he does sit in it. However his 2 year old brother loves it especially the water tank on the back. They both have a lot of fun with it and am sure will enjoy more in coming months. It is easy enough for them both to get in and out of. Find it quite sturdy but easy enough to move around. I am very pleased with my purchase.

My Grandson loves this, straying water everywhere. It's pretty well made, although if you are not good at DIY then it maybe a struggle to assemble. The one negative is the water tank, it just sits on the back of the truck, it's not held in or fixed in any way. When full of water it is heavy and the kids can pull it off the truck quite easily, falling on their feet.So be aware of this.

We bought this for our two year old for his birthday. Its quite time consuming to put together. We also had to drill some holes ourselves to install the ladder parts. However once completed its a great fun toy. Our son loves using the hose to soak everyone and water the plants. The price on Amazon is reasonable too compared to most other places.

Hi there,We brought this for our 2yr old grandson as our Granddaughter has the little Tikes car. This product is wonderful and cannot wait for the summer when they can use the hose in the garden, at the moment they pump the air as a petrol pump.Item arrived as stated easy to put together and the pump actually works.

We bought this for my 2 year old son for Christmas and he loves it. Putting it together wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and the instructions were easy to follow. It's hard wearing and looks very cute. Little Tikes cars last for ages and as I bought them for my older sons knew how good they were. 10 out of 10

This was a birthday present for my daughter. She loves it and her big brother likes the hose, strong and durable great for any firefighter fanatics. But two things to consider the cars have doors that open and shut which lots of children love the engine doesn't, also no roof means no protection from the sun.
