We took the time to try other cheaper trikes and one or two more expensive ones and I have to recommend that you get this. Its worth the extra over the standard little trikes model and other cheaper brands. But suprisingly its better than some of the more expensive ones. In comparison I can sum up- It is much more solidly built - the metal construction and thickness of the tubing- Thicker moulded plastic and does not flex or feel like it could break easily- The wheels are far more durable than any of the other ones I got my hands on- The steering and connection mechanism is better built and sturdier- The seat cover is the type that is the easy wipe clean and appears water resistant- Sun visoris pretty adjustable unlike some of the others- The child's steering and pedals feel much better- Seat has realistic adjustmentsOn top of all that my little girl loves it can see her wanting it more than the buggy when we go out.Downside is that the steering takes a bit of getting used to. The handle bars for the adult are not in the fashion you would expect, like a bicycle which adds to the alien feel but you will soon get used to it. Also the assembly instructions were not very clear and the illustrations will leave you guessing at a stage or two. I see from other reviews that some struggled with assembly and others didn't and this will be partly to the law of averages where people just start clicking things together. I also can't account for the paper instructions that came with they're product as I know from experience these can change. Mine looked like a photo copy of a photocopyI would suggest you build the back wheels with the brake facing you to prevent taking it apart and re-assembling. I got the box it came in after putting the back part together as the large photo on the box along with logic helped put it together.

This is a really good Trike & has a reasonable stearing columb that an adult can use to control the Trike whilst the child is too young to do so for themselves. It is easy to remove parts as the child grows in capability up to the time the child can go solo. Unlike other similar Trikes Iv'e tested, there is not too much slack in the parental stearing facility (handle bars linkage) so it is possible to steer in a straight line if required. There is however a significant downside with this Trike, the assembly instructions. Just like most things manufactured in China & requiring home assembly, the instructions & diagrams are difficult to decifer & some one I know bought one & took six & a half hours to get it together.I am a mechanical engineer with over fifty five years experience & in the end I disregarded the instructions & used my mechanical aptitude. It still took me one & a half hours mainly due to the brake lever not being in the position it needs to be to get in on the tubular rear axle, in mesh with the correct offside wheel & the screw holes (two) lined up ready to assemble the screws. Make sure you look at the diagram very carefully. Make sure you have the rear axle tube the way round it is shown in the diagram. Then make sure the offside rear wheel is the one with the notches on the inside face. If this is done & the lever assembly is in the correct position when delivered, all fixing holes will line up. If not just pivot the brake lever until its mesh feature goes into the rear offside wheel notches. Good luck & stay chilled out during assembly.

I can only agree with most other reviewers. Construction can be a bit of a bugger in parts, there is only diagrams to guide you which are not always clear. It took me around 2 hours to construct going slowly & methodically which includes mounting & de mounting the seat twice as I kept getting the combination of components not quite right & only spotted these after I thought I had finished. The seat could be a little larger and provide more back support. The foot rests are still too far back for my grandson (14 months old) and his feet dangle between them and the pedals. It would be better if they were adjustable in this respect.Having said all of the above,my grandson has absolutely adored using the bike in the last two weeks since we received it and I can see him using it for the next couple of years or so. The steering is so much easier to use than the single handle (cheaper) models and doesn't make your wrist ache when using it and also you feel more in control of the steering. As you will see from reading other reviews, nearly all of the above pros & cons are common themes and the cons need to be addressed by the manufacturer to improve the product.

Me and my daughter love this trike! I take her for walks to the park in it, to feed ducks at the pond, when we go shopping at the weekends and to her preschool! She is getting to that age where she likes her independence and she has that with this (even though I still have the parent steering on) but much more independence than she has in a pushchair! And for such a bubble of energy who’s always running around she happily sits in her trike while we sit and feed the ducks or ride around on an adventure. The handle has adjustable height and can retract really far in and it’s not too wide so it can fit in a decent size car boot without having to be completely dismantled!Negatives: I will say mypartner and my Dad have a really hard time steering it but I’ve found no such problem even from the first time I used it, but they can’t seem to get the hang of it. Also had my older nephew in it and it’s very hard to steer when they are stronger and can steer it a bit themselves lol! It’s also not the easiest thing to put together, I struggled on my own until my mechanic boyfriend came home and took over lolApart from those small negatives I’m very happy with it!

My 14mth old granddaughter thoroughly enjoys being pushed around on her trike. It's very sturdy and the sun canopy is great as it can be moved as the sun moves. Also with the little bottle holder & double zipped pouch also the tipping truck you have enough storage space to carry everything you both need for a short trip. Then as your little one grows you can alter the trike into the next stage so that they can help cycle themselves but still have all the safety features in place. The full safety harness, padded seating, the safety bar, foot rests and parent handle are all included as safety measures which help make this trike such good quality and excellent value.I searched lots of trikes before settling on this one for my new granddaughter as I am particular on what I buy. I didn't just want a bargain. I wanted safety features and something that she could grow with after all children's toys aren't cheap. Well I have to say I would definitely recommend this one as it has surpassed itself. The 1st time I ever put a bike together myself too and it didn't take me long. A great trike at a great price.

Despite some of the negative reviews regarding this trike, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase it.Now this is a big trike and will grow with your child. I would say that it is fiddly to put together and needs some patience. Not difficult as such but there are some small screws which make life harder. For example, to assemble the back wheels securely one needs to align two holes and then the screw needs to be tightened. I found this part of the trike assembly quite frustrating, and time consuming. Everything else seemed to fit together nicely, but the trike is a darker blue than I was expecting. Again that's not a problem for me. It looks secure and seems easy to steer, but again you need a fairly large space to store it.Also, I have found the canopy to be somewhat useless. It connects to the chair, but doesn't attach to the back of the smart trike at all (on the parent handle). The parent tray does not seem to attach very securely either. We haven't taken it out of the house yet, so can't vouch for its on and off road performance.

Took an age to put together, very fiddly, but seems solid enough. 1 year old Daughter loves it which is the main thing. She will happily sit in it for over an hour if out walking. The little basket on the back and the little bag on the handlebars are useful only for very small cargo. Couple of issues: if you put the seat in the most forward position in the stage 1 guided set up (for 9 months +) the pedals will hit the childs feet everytime they go round. The foot rest is set too far back to be of any use and if you move the seat back the foot rest moves back with it. As the wheels are solid plastic not rubber its a very bumpy ripe for the passenger unless you stick to very smooth tarmac. It does have a tendency to tip if you try to go too sharply round a corner or mount a kerb. In light of the above, i think I would have been disappointed if I'd paid the full RRP but for the £40 Amazon price it was a good buy. I get lots of smiles from passers by when she's in it.

A lot of great features on this bike. I love all of the storage: there's the cup holder, the big bucket in the back, and the zipper bag. I love the foot break on this sports edition - it's my understanding that it is not on any of the other models. I live in a city, so it's nice to be able to break the bike at street lights. My only complain is that the shoulder straps are only suited for a small child. My daughter is only 2 years 4 months, but she's already way too tall for the shoulder straps. They aren't designed to go above the back of the chair, so when a child is taller than the back of the chair, like my daughter, they just sort of fall off her shoulders.I can look into fastening something across her back to clip the straps together, but it's go bad the back of the seat isn't higher. That being said, she's still not likely going anywhere: there are a bunch of buckles at the waist. It just doesn't hold her in across her chest and shoulders.

bought the cozy coupe for my daughters 3rd birthday. she'd been wanting one for a year as she'd always ride one at nursery and at her cousins house, and never got bored.we've had this for a few weeks at home now and she plays with it everyday. just waiting for the weather to get better so ahe can have a little ride around in the garden too. we also got the cozy pumper, and my daughter loves filling her car up with fuel every few minutes.i remember riding on these when i was at nursery and cant believe kids love them as much now as then.i can see this lasting me a good few years for other kids to come along and play too.the only negative i would say is the assembly part of it....i never would've been able to build this myself...thank God i have a diy enthusiast husband, and the You Tube videos online helped quite a bit as the paper instructions were pathetic.i would highly recomend the cozy coupe to any kids of pre school/nursery age.

Anything for our son gets additional scrutiny and I was anxious about some of the negative reviews on this product, but I needn't have been as the product is fantastic. I was glad I spoke to friends who also have this Trike. My little man is 8.5 months old and this works for him already. To see the smile on his face as he enjoys freedom from his buggy is a joy to behold. It took me (solo) about 45 minutes to assemble, primarily because the assembly instructions are so poor and the print is tiny, but I got there through trial and error and to be honest, I am glad I assembled it as it gives you confidence of knowing what goes where, and, when you need to change the configuration as your child grows,it's far easier. It's very sturdy and is fine to operate out on the public footpaths. I would not run around pushing my son in this - I don't think this product would support that, but it's nice for a gentle stroll and I like it a lot.

I was looking for something to grow with my grandson he is 1 and has Down Syndrome and will probably need help for a while but the seat is much smaller then expected I thought the top part was a head rest but it is not that tall I love the brake most of these trikes dont have 1 I thought I would love the safety of the seat belt but there are A LOT of clips 5 clips to get him buckled in they could have simplified that Love the colors love the rubber on the wheels (quieter ride) the bottom basket just clips on so it shakes when empty but not loud just annoying the steering is different then a stroller but this is not a stroller so its okay I thought I would like the fabric but I store this onmy porch and it gets dusty and not easily removed but all and all my grandson LOVES it and he gets lots of compliments on his bike from other walkers and he always sits tall and proud in it with smiles the whole way makes it all worth it

Bought this for my 16 month old daughter and couldn't wait to put it together.Being a very capable DIY mother I thought I'd have this assembled in half an hour, how wrong I was!!! After spending an hour hammering and getting increasingly frustrated I handed the whole thing over to my partner who did put it together but said it was the worst thing he has ever had to assemble and the instructions were useless! The screws bent whilst going in and had to be replaced. If you haven't got a drill and a power driver don't buy it! However once it was built it was lovely and my daughter loves it.I would also like to thank the staff at Consett for helping me get it home, when i bought it,it was too big forme to carry whilst pushing a buggy so one of the members of staff who lives near me kindly offered to drop it off for me! Brilliant customer service!!

For starters my son loves this. He's an active little one and hates being in his pram, but loves sitting in this.Good points - Large foot rest for him, cup/snack holder at the front and decent sun shade. The pole and canopy come off easily to get it in the boot. My wife managed to put it together in an hour and a half hour morning snooze. Now onto the cons - Steering is a bit vague (I have tried a few different trikes in ToysRus and found them to all be the same) the cup/mobile phone holder for the parent is a waste of space. as soon as you turn it tips to the side and all your stuff will fall out.Would be better with air filled tires (but they would add to the cost)I would recommend it and believe it will be better when the little one starts to pedel.

This car is loved by my 20 month old son, and there are shouts of mine, mine, mine and much running towards it, if anyone including big brother dare to go near it.However daddy spent a good 2 hours putting it together, with much puffing and blowing followed by numerous expletives. He wreckons the picture instructions are a nightmare to understand. I cannot comment on this as i left him to it. He is usually very good at the DIY stuff, so i won't blame his putting together skills. He is however, as impressed as the little one at the finished product. Very robust and hard-waring.I am loving the little ones enthusiasm for it and I love the fact that I got it with 25% off even more.Much fun will behad with it this summer.

Bought this for my 2 yr old girl with the intention that my baby boy can also use it in the future. Took a while to put together but manageable. Very good quality. My toddler is most excited about the five point harness and wants to strap herself on her own (good thing she can't undo the straps yet!). The feature I love most is the parent steering. Previously I had a cheap trike and couldn't really steer properly and hurts my hand. The bottle holder and the storage pocket are also very handy to store some snacks and a pocket tissue. On the other hand I find the shade not useful and I have to keep tilting the angle as we walk about and it's so much hassle. All in all very pleased with thepurchase.
