I am so glad I found this product.I used to make due with a far, far inferior emergency pump. It did "work," but just barely - I could inflate my patched up tubes enough to get back on the road, but it took forever and I could never get them to the recommended PSI.After enough frustrating experiences with the old pump, I decided to see what the new state of the art was. I was excited to see Lezyne's offerings, since I'd recently been very impressed with their pedal wrench. In use, the pump is highly effective. You don't need a ridiculous amount of strength to operate it. You *will* get a workout from all the reps you get pumping with this guy, but it's part of the tradeoff you have to make of max pressure versus max volume, and it's not that bad. I can reach the proper PSI on my road bike tires, something that wasn't even possible with my last pump. The pump I purchased is the "small" version, because based on the measurements it seemed like it would fit my emergency saddle bag. It does. A hair under 7.5" long and with a diameter of just under 1", it's like a slightly supersized cigar. A mounting bracket is included (which can sit beside your water bottle holder) but you may not even need it. The device is small enough to fit in a jersey pocket. How nice it is to handle something that's made out of metal. The pump feels like a quality product and it is.Probably the most clever bit of design is the reversible presta/shraeder tube, which stows away inside the body of the pump when not in use. You screw it onto the pump when you want to use it, giving you a lot more breathing room than you get with most pumps that are rigid and just stick right onto the valve. With the flexible tube I can move the pump around to the optimal position for pumping while it's attached to the wheel.I don't know how much it weighs, but the general answer is "not a whole lot." It's certainly lighter than my last pump.Bottom line? It's a really great product, a really clever design, and a reasonable price. Get it.

Here's the thing: All of these mini hand pumps basically look the same and do the same job, so you may be asking yourself "why spend the extra coin on this one?" The answer is quality. Let's look at three of the features this pump has that are missing from other, cheaper pumps I've owned.-Construction: If you look at a cheaper pump, a lot of the components are plastic. The Lezyne pump is made of METAL. Everything on the pump that matters looks and feels sturdy. This means you won't break it when you're vigorously trying to pump in 120psi on the side of the road.-The Hose: The cheaper pumps all attach directly to the valve stem. This means that when you push on the handle, you are also pushing on the stem. This can lead to bent stems, broken stems, leaky seals, and uncomfortable pumping angles. The hose means you can really get the job done without worrying about damaging anything.-The Locking Mechanism: Cheap pumps secure themselves to the valve stem using a locking mechanism that compresses a rubber seal around the stem. These levers can be a pain to operate, and often don't seal properly. The hose on the Lezyne pump screws directly onto the threaded valve. This means two things: It won't come off, and it won't leak. You only have to secure it once, and the only hissing sound you'll hear is the sound of air going INTO THE TIRE. What a novel concept.I've had a few of the cheaper pumps (Topeaks, etc), and they function okay for the occasional hobbyist right up until they break, which they will. I finally got sick of it and spent the money for a higher end pump (this one) and I know now that I will not regret it.I bought the small pump, but the larger one (medium size) is only 10 grams heavier, and it will do the job a little faster. In retrospect I probably should have gotten that one. Regardless of which one you get, this pump will get you off the side of the road many times before it ever goes wrong. It is light, well constructed, and reliable. Isn't that all that matters to a cyclist?

I did some research to see what people in popular bike forums recommended for bike pump. The price tag is a bit high, but this pump was recommended by so many people that I decided to purchase it. After all, who wants to get stranded with a flat tire. I don't think AAA will come repair bike flats :-)So I bought this pump and it has been been riding on my bike for almost a year now. I like the way it attaches to the bike. It sits right along the seat down tube and attaches to the frame where the water bottle attaches. It doesn't interfere with pedaling. My frame size is a smallish 54cm and this smaller sized pump is ideal for the smaller frame. The pump and holder have a nicely designed mechanism to secure to the bike.It has rubber end cap inserts that keep the the innards clean. I finally used it out on the road for the first time a couple of months ago. I unscrewed the bendy rubber nozzle end, reverse and screw into the pump. THe nozzle is threaded so you can screw it onto the valve stem and it doesn't fly off while you are filling the tire. Then you just pump for a while, 5 minutes, maybe more depending on how much rest you need. This pump does not have a built in pressure gauge, but I can judge pretty well from squeezing the tire. I'm not super strong and pumped until the tire felt right; I was working pretty hard to get more air into the tire. When I got to work and measured tire pressure it was around 85. I need more practice or a small high pressure tire gauge. As my commute is under 10 miles, this was fine. Overall, this is an excellent pump!

Firs off I have owned this pump for about 3 years now. I will say I want to love this thing but, the hose that connects to the valve stem keeps pulling my valve stem cores out. Not an issue if you remember to pre-tighten them on your bike and all new tubes before you leave the house.Nothing is worse than pumping up a fresh tube and just when you think you are done, it pulls your valve stem core out and you have to start all over. I could be doing it wrong, it could just be an issue with the one I got, or it could be all the inner tubes I have came with loose valve stem cores. *Note: I am using the air purge valve before disconnecting; it doesn't make a difference. My solution is to pre-tighten all valve stem cores and be extra careful when removing the attachment from the valve stem.I bought this product because I wanted a high quality, light weight, and compact hand pump; which it is. But I spent extra on it because I wanted a product that would make my life easier... That said, I don't know if there is a better product out there that meets all the criteria and out performs this product.

Having tried numerous pumps over the years, this is the best of its kind I've recently used. Sensible design that uses a flexible tube to connect pump to valve rather than the more common, and frequently problematic, 'push-on' type. Knocked a star off because it seems a bit pricey and the pump holder (which attaches to cycle) isn't well designed. The holder leaves the pump in a slightly vulnerable position, as it fits sideways offset from the frame tube. The holder also relies on a velcro strap to securely fix the pump to the holder and if it's not sufficiently tight, the pump begins to open out/extend itself whilst cycling.Comfortable to use,the pump reaches 90psi without undue effort but I imagine it would need a bit of heft to get much above 100psi. Lost count of the number of strokes taken to reach 90psi from a flat 700x35C tyre but this won't be your main pump and you can't expect a low volume pump to defy physics.

I misplaced my old hand pump so I bought this one, as usual I found the old one after I got this one. :) I love this pump though and will always carry this one over the old one I had.I really like the sturdy aluminum construction of this pump. It feels like it could go through a lot of abuse. It also pumps up surprisingly fast. My favorite feature by far is the hose used to attach the pump to the valve stem. You just flip it around to switch between presta and Schrader. Most pumps have a more complex method of switching. I also like the fact that it is a flexible hose. I have often worried about breaking a presta valve stem because of the stress of pumping them up.This solves the problem. The only thing I can think of that I would like improved is the length of the handle, it's a little small, but that is a VERY minor gripe, I would most certainly buy again. All of my mountain biking buddies were jealous of it. :)

It's always good to have a hand pump around for long rides. CO2 cartridge refills are one-shot affairs and if you mess it up, you're stuck. Also, CO2 refills are temporary — CO2 tends to leech out of rubber tubes. This pump has a nice mounting system that fits between the water bottle cage and the frame. The pump itself is held parallel to the frame tube at a slight offset. I find it does not interfere with my pedaling mounted on the seattube.I have gotten a flat and had to use the pump since I purchased it. Putting 80 psi into a 25mm road tire with one of these things is not by any means easy, but the pump is sure smaller and lighter than a good floor pump. That's the tradeoff. This pump is easily adequate for lower pressure CX or MTB tires. I would get a bigger pump if I wanted to run higher pressure tires (say, 19mm tires, or tubular, or if I were a heavier rider).

I saw this pump selected in a survey of the best mini pumps and can see why it got such good reviews. It is very well designed and well made and well worth the money. Unlike many other mini pumps it uses a traditional hose between the pump and the tyre valve, thus reducing the pressure on the valve itself and risk of tearing it from the inner tube. The hose has a presta attachment one end and a schrader the other and even an air release valve, All in all it's a lovely bit of kit. It comes in two sizes small and medium and make sure you order the right one as some of the Amazon listings are not that clear and you might need to check the sizes listed against the manufacturer's own website. One retailer was advertising as a small but the sizes were for a medium, so I went elsewhere. As a back up pump and something that I hope not to have to use that often, I love it.

This little pump is great, the flexible hose is really nice so that when you are pumping, the pump isn't fixed to your valve-stem and jerking it around. I have used it to top off my tires a couple times. Haven't needed it for emergency yet say, with a blow-out but I did help out a guy on a mountian bike that was carrying his bike down a trail who had a slow leak and just needed some air to get him home... The hose fits both sizes of valve stems found on bikes Schrader and Presta as well as screws on tight to seal and attach. It has a button on the side of the hose to release the pressure in the hose before you remove it. The only downside to this pump is that not having a flat end where you push to pump,it helps to have gloves on or getting the high pressures could become a little painful for some people. Not a problem when the adrenaline is pumping I suppose.

I got this yesterday and I love the look and how light it is(you got to love how it looks too or why buy it). I used it on my cruiser's wheels and it work great, you can feel the heat building up in your hands but is not bad at all. The medium size is perfect, I know they have a smaller one but I am ok with the size and it fits in most bags with no extra bulk. The rubber caps are great to keep dust and dirt off and they stay secure. It came with a attachment for your bike if you want to attached it to your frame, I don't think i am going to use it but it works, not sure how it's hold on rough terrain but I am sure it would hold. The best part and the selling point for me was the flex hose,it really adds value to it and it makes that much easier to pump your tires, I highly recommend this pump.

At first i could not believe they could make a pump so small that actually worked. On the comments it warned there was a small and larger version but i was not bothered as it will be used in a emergency rather than regular use. Have already a Co2 gun which i have used and only takes couple of seconds to inflate the tyre. I would assume it would take a long time to get your tyres back to normal with these kind of products. was impressed with the build quality and just has the feel it will work. The attachment that fixes onto your bike is not so rigid but i suppose you could look for something more substantial if you are a regular biker and not an occasional biker like me.Tried the attachmenton the valve on the bike which works fine.

I was looking for a mini pump for a new bike I bought recently. I've bought cheap plasticey ones before and invariably they have let me down just when I have needed them; at the roadside with a puncture. I hesitated buying the Lezyne because of the price but having received it I'm glad I spent the money. It is well made, sturdy and well upto the job. It also comes in a range of colours and the black and chrome one I bought goes well with my new bike. The mount allows you to fit it under the water bottle cage so the pump sits to one side but does not get in the way as you cycle. Word of caution, This is purely for roadside get you home purposes,I would not want to use it on a regular basis for pumping up my tyres as it is too small

Both my buddy and I carry this small pump on rides. My intention is to use when initially pumping up tubes after a flat. This is to decrease chances of a pinch flat when initially replacing spare tube. Interesting that mine is much much newer and his is 6 or 7 years old. His didn’t work as well as it aged. Granted his (and now mine) hasbeen exposes to all kinds of weather conditions as we are NOT fair-weather riders. I’ve not had a flat in 3.5 years where he has had several. On his last 2 flats we found ourselves using my newer pump as his did not seem to work as well. But it has been stellar when needed previous to the last 2 flats. I still give 5 stars as it has been a lifesaver on occasion.Time will tell. It always does.

Spent some time reading bike site reviews before selecting this pump for my new bike. I needed a small light weight pump which could also get up to the 110-120psi required by my tyres. This pump seemed to tick all the boxes in that respect. The pump seems well made and sturdy in the hand, it also looks really nice. It fits nicely into the hand and is comfortable to use, not that I have had to do that it in anger up to 100+psi yet! I like the flexible ABS hose which means you can grip and hold the pump body firmly and pump efficiently without worrying about stressing the valve stem. The hose is also reversible so can either fit a Presta valve or Schrader.Excellent value and quality pump.

I am pretty impressed with this little pump. It cannot handle road pressures (100 psi) but for MTB works great. I love the hose making it flexible, it's light, and works very well and does relatively high pressures well. It has good volume for a small pump filling a 29er is short order.I realized today (when I went to request replacement parts for this pump from Lezyne) that I was shipped the wrong product from the amazon seller. For what's it's worth I was sent the 19.99 Sport Drive HP a much cheaper product. I am working to get that resolved. Either way a great pump (aside from the rubber stopper falling off - keeps the dirt out). I am sure the Pressure Drive is better yet.
