Really thrilled with this book. Had a touch of healthy scepticism about the absolutely glowing and numerous.com reviews (none on.co.uk when I ordered) but thought that at the price it would be worth seeing for myself. It arrives beautifully packaged in a sleek black sleeve, giving it quite a high end first impression. The leather look cover is a nice shade of tan, and the texture is nice. A little rougher feeling than I expected, as a lot of these kind of materials feel a bit rubbery and silky, and this doesn't.It has a nice weight and size feel to hold. The spine is a contrasting grey, with a built in pen loop I can comfortably tuck my finger into, so should work nicely. The paper seems a touch darker than moleskine, but in the side by side, there's not much on it. You can also see the dots are a bit darker, but not so much I think it will bother me (this is what put me off Rhodia) and they have the 0.5mm spacing I'm used to in my MoleskineThe paper feels lovely. Really thick, you can see how it stands when I fan the book. It also has a nice, smooth texture, and is lovely to write on. The pen glides smoothly with no bleeding. I have been setting the book up, including a pen test page, which I se to check for bleeding and ghosting. You can barely see a thing through this lovely thick paper. My pics show the difference with the same in my moleskine. The difference is vast, with this book having the vastly superior paper quality. Photos show moleskine on the left of the image, Lemome on the rightIt has an elastic strap and a rear pocket, which contains a card, some tab stickers, and a little plastic ruler, something I already consider an essential to put in your notebooks back pocket. So far I'm really pleased, and looking forward to filling up my trusty moleskine and getting this baby on the road.An absolute bargain at just under a tenner!I hope to see Lemome expand their range in future, I'd love to see this design in lots of different colours.I am very happy with this book. It just goes to show that a higher price tag doesn't equal a better product

Very happy with my new notebook, which I am using to try out bullet journaling. I have bean looking around to find a dotted notebook with good page thickness, and I seem to have found it. The pages are thicker than in other notebooks, especially compared to my Moleskine, whose thinner pages have always been a source of frustration to me. While I would still recommend doing a pen test page at the back of the notebook, this journal has little ghosting, and virtually no bleed (dependent on the pen, of course - it might not hold up well with a permanent marker like a Sharpie, but I use my LAMY fountain pen, and there is no problem with it.) The pages are also very smooth, which I was worried might be a problem for a fountain pen user like me, as I thought the ink might be more likely to smudge, but again I have had no problems. Pages are off-white, and in the dotted version, the dots are 5mm apart and not too dark. The binding allows the pages to lie flat, and is generally very good, although I did spot a few loose threads at the top and bottom of some pages where the binding ends, but this doesn't really affect the notebook in any way.The cover is sturdy but somewhat flexible and the faux leather cover has a nice texture. The pen loop on the side is very useful, as is the elastic to keep the notebook closed, thought this may stretch over time. The only thing I think could be impoved is that there is only one bookmark so I have to hunt for other pages which I also view frequently. However, as I have an index, this isn't too much of a problem, and washi tape on the edge of frequent pages also helps!Overall, a great notebook for a good price - would highly recommend.

I have a slight obsession with notebooks. There are currently 19 in my bookshelf that I cannot bear to use. I started a bullet journal a little while ago and after consulting various forums, decided to go for the Leuchtturm 1917 as everyone was raving about it. Let me tell you something... this notebook here is far superior in quality and almost half the price! The paper is silky smooth and so thick. Unfortunately I can't find anywhere what GSM this is. But each page feels luxurious in comparison to the Leuchtturm. My pen glides across the page and will probably withstand most inks.I comes with the handy pocket at the back, similar to the Leuchtturm, but contained inside were two small plastic rulers, and some sticky page tabs, handy for separating sections of your notebook. There is a pen loop attached the to notebook, which you have to buy separately with other brands. The stay closed elastic is pretty strong at the moment, but unsure how this will stand up to the test of time.I does have a ribbon bookmark, but only one in comparison, and also the index is missing from the front, and the pages aren't numbered. To be honest, this doesn't matter so much to me, as I never really used the index in the Leuchtturm as intended and it got on my nerves. It looks like a really classy notebook. I love the contrast of the faux tan leather with the grey. I think that if Lemome offered this notebook in other colours, it could be a real contender in knocking Leuchtturm off the top spot.If you are considering buying this notebook, my advice to you would be to get it and give it a try, I can't see how you would be disappointed.

I've now bought my 3rd Lemome notebook. The first one was a dotted one and the second/third ones are lined. The dotted one is a research and inventory notebook for my historical reenactment hobby and contains my current inventory of items and historical research on bone carving items through the ages. The ruled one arrived yesterday and is already being populated with historical recipes - somewhere where I log historical recipes I've made or intend to make, as well as research notes on herb/spices through the ages and table manners, etc. The 3rd one will be my family favourite recipes (and is due to arrive today).Love these notebooks because they are sturdy, have plenty of pages both for current and future use and you can create it exactly how you want it, using the index stickers.Having the little scrap paper folder on the inside back cover is useful to collect the scrap notes I've made before I have written them in the notebook. The elastic pen holder on the spine is far better I find than having it on the side of the book, where it constantly catches on things. It also means I can shelve it easily.A5 size means they are easily transportable without being too cumbersome. And the elastic thong that keeps the book shut when I'm not using it ensures I'm not losing any scraps of paper.I don't think I'll be able to go to another type of notebook after using these ones. Best ever.

I've kept a journal for many years, my main go to being Moleskine (or, Pukka in dire situations). Having tried this notebook, I feel no need to ever return to Moleskine, or to even try Rhodia or Lechttrum (as I was going to). This cannot be beaten, especially for the insanely good value. This item is a thing of beauty, packed very well and arrived promptly. The pen holder on the side is just wonderful, the pages are a lovely colour and THICK. The back pocket is handy and the strap and book marker are good quality. This is a wonderful product to hold and use, taking it out the box I admired it for a long time before writing in it. One thing to note, is that the journal may need a bit of pressing down before laying flat on either side. But, it is very sturdy feeling as a result. Great for if writing on your lap.I accidentally ordered graph paper instead of dotted, but I was so chuffed with the product and value I didn't consider the fuss of returning it. As it turns out, I now also love graph paper for a journal as well as Lemome :)I hope Lemome keep up what they're doing, great products at unbeatable value, I will never go back to any other brand after using these.

I decided to keep a journal this year and having had a think about what I needed I decided to give bullet journaling a go and see how it worked for me. Turns out it’s worked out well, that though is not entirely the point. This notebook was bought for me by my daughter and it was a great find. The paper quality is really good, quite thick and takes ink well and there’s no bleed through from my fountain pen. The book is made well, really sturdy, especially if you go through it and flatten out a few pages at a time before you use it, it then folds flat without stressing the spine. The elastic closure ‘lock’ is good and has not stretched and the pen loop (I love that it has this)is a welcome bonus and after 9 months it hasn’t stretched either and the little sticker pack was really useful. The only downside is the fact that there’s only one marker ribbon and let’s face it that’s 1st world problem.Great book, well made, sturdy and great value for money especially when you compare it the usual favourites like Moleksine and leuchtturm. I’m not saying don’t use them, they’re great but this is equally impressive in my book.

This is a wonderful journal. It is very simple with no gimmicks like indexes or page numbers (which I find restrictive). The paper is a nice neutral cream colour and very good quality - I have experienced very little ghosting and bleedthrough even when using watercolours. The little pocket at the back is really helpful and the page markers included were a nice touch, although I haven't personally used them. The cover is very good quality and the elastic pen loop and stay-closed band have both had a bit of a beating over that time but remain good as new. The only problem I had was that due to the location of the pen loop on the spine, some pens have caused a small amount of damage to the material of the spine itself. However, this is barely noticeable and probably easily avoided by taking added care or using pens with rounded corners. My favourite thing about this notebook is that it lays completely flat when opened. There is no need to force pages to bend open, as the spine is flexible enough to achieve this from the get-go. All-in-all I love it and will be repurchasing once I run out of pages.

I bought this to start a bullet journal and I wanted a slightly cheaper option than the Leuchtturm/Moleskine options in case I got bored quickly. I really like it. I like that I can make my own index and page numbering rather than having them done for me. The paper is off-white and it's good quality, although heavy colouring will show through to the other side of the paper, particularly if you layer different colours on top of each other while they're still wet. Most pages show no ghosting, but the left-hand side of the spread in the attached photo did cause quite heavy ghosting. I don't think the other brands' paper is likely to be any better though. The journal opens flat so it's easy to rule lines and keep your handwriting neat, and I really like the cover and pen loop. I'd prefer two ribbon bookmarks rather than one, but that's easily rectified with pretty paperclips, and the pocket at the back is handy. All in all I like it a lot and just wish it came in a range of colours; as it is I might buy a different brand next time just for a change.

I absolutely love this notebook and use it as my bullet journal. The pages are thick enough that even with marker pens there is very little ghosting and seep through from the other pages. This is so good that after using it myself for a couple of months I bought one for my son to start his own bullet journal and have recommended it to friends. I will be buying another when this one is full. The only thing that is a slight downside (but not enough to lose a star) is that it would be good if the pages were numbered so save me a job!!Update - I have just received my 3rd book and I'm disappointed to report that the pages seems to be ghosting much more than they did.I'm using exactly the same pens (not just the same brand but the same pens). I have therefore reduced to 4 stars because I do still think it's a really good book but it seems as though the paper quality as been stealthily reduced :-(

I've been looking for a bullet journal to replace my current choice. I had found a lovely chunky book for my last journal and I just haven't been able to find something to match up for my second one.I did a little research and this brand came up for a good, all round book that would get some heavy use.I like the cover and style (but that's just personal preference). The book is chunky with a good amount of pages, and the page quality is great! I use a fountain pen for my Bujo and I have yet to test it, but the feel of the pages alone tell me it's going to be fine.It has some useful features for a daily use book including: 2 ribbon tabs, elastic closure, pocket at the back, pen holder and the pages lay flat (something I have missed in my current journal!)Comes well packaged too. This is a good, solid journal... But it's just missing something that would make me LOVE it.

Love this journal. It's sturdy, functional, and extremely smart-looking. I love the pen loop on the side and the folder in the back (I'm using it to store receipts). I bought this journal for the purpose of keeping a Bullet Journal, and it's perfect for that. Nice, thick pages and my pen ink doesn't bleed through at all. Beautiful off-white paper. The dotted/grid marks help to keep my handwriting neat, a well. There's a popular journal brand that's frequently used in the Bullet Journal community, but I wanted to start right away and that brand was out of stock....so I kept searching and found this one, and honestly, I like it so much more. Love the orangey-brown leather and everything about this.Definitely buy this if you're looking for a good journal for taking notes, keeping a diary or agenda, sketching, or anything use pen and paper for really.

I have tried many notebooks in my life and was a avid Moleskin lover and saw a good review for this one so i gave it a go, for 9.99 you cant really go wrong! The quality of the notebook is amazing and the leather feels so good in the hand. Along with the minimal branding it really is a masterpeice. The pen holder is a snug fit and the page ribbon is soft and silky. The paper itself is lovely and thick ( just how i wanted it) and i get no pen marks or ghostinf on the next page. The dots are just the right opacity and perfect size for my bullet journalling.Overall, This is a great daily use notebook which looks clean and professional. It has definately improved my life and helped me keep track of my to do list and notes. If you are in the market for a new notebook, look no where else. I have recommended this brand to everyone I know.

In my quest to find the perfect bullet journal notebook, I may have finally found it. However, this wasn’t perfect. Even though it arrived boxed, the box was damaged in one corner, under the cellophane wrapping, so was damaged before it was even packaged, plus the pen loop part of the notebook had been crushed when packaged so is misshaped and remains misshaped ( hoping it will correct itself eventually) there was also a few pages inside that were crumpled, but I e flattened them out as best I can. I’m fed up now trying to find a truly perfect notebook, they really don’t exist. This one has lovely thick pages though, so will take most, if not all of my pens. The dots are quite dark and it would have been perfect if they were a little lighter, but I can live with it. For now I will happily use this.

I absolutely love this journal. I used a different brand for bullet journalling and the pages were too thin. I have moved over to this journal and love it. The pages are nice, most pens don't bleed through. If they were just a tiny bit more thicker they'd be perfect, but overall the page thickness is good. Nice quality and well built. The cover is absolutely lovely. Feels so nice and love the pen loop. I like more white shade in pages, these pages are an ivory creamy colour. But they're still good and look nice. The dotted pages I love. The dots aren't too dark or too faint. They work well and they are spaced perfectly apart. The book lies lovely and flat as well which is a must for me.I will always buy this journal. Very pleased with it.

I always end up coming back to this journal for a number of reasons. Firstly, the neutral colours provide something a lot more professional looking than other brands, meaning I'm happy to use it in placement. The paper is slightly off-white, which helps me when it comes to reading back my notes, and the pages are thick enough that I notice very little ghosting or bleed through, yet still feel papery enough that it doesn't feel like I'm writing on card, as with other brands. No index in the journal, which works better for me (I start them with the best of intentions, and never come back to them!) There's easily enough pages to get me through a whole academic year plus placement. Thank you again,Lemome, for truly delivering
