Firstly, ignore the Amazon picture, it shows a Hoya filter and this is certainly a Kenko Pro1 Digital Circular PL (W). I've added a shot of the actual packaging. Secondly, this is a very similar review to the one I've done of the same filter in the 37mm size, so if you've read that, no need to read further. What a ver nice bit of kit it is! The packaging is sturdy and padded, and the filter comes in a UV resistant plastic to avoid affect the filter when not in use.The filter itself is very nicely made, set in a nice low-profile frame; though none of the lenses I use it with are wide enough to have an issue with it's thickness (even the 12mm).The front turns smoothly but it is nicely weighted - not that easy to knock and requires a deliberate turn. It also takes a lens cap on my Olympus M43 lenses (17mm f1.8 and 12mm F2) very well. In terms of results, it does exactly what it should. Image quality wise, it's looking very promising so far. All the early images look very good; fab blue skies, water reflections removed and nice contrast levels as you'd expect. Pixel-peeping shows no discernible loss of sharpness, either. If you know what you're looking for, then you can stop reading - it's fab filter that's half of the cost a B&W and provides similar quality. Search for reviews - there are at least couple that put these Kenko models in the top 4 available, with some very auspicious company that cost way more.If you're new to polarisers, they are (arguably) just about the only filter you still need for normal photography. They magically take reflections off water, glass and objects like leaves that you just couldn't in an image manipulation program. They also provide a nice level of saturation that is deep but not artificial. Something every camera bag should have!
