As I removed it from a lens (first time it was used) the glass started to fall out. I managed to catch it before it hit the ground. There is a coil of wire which clips into the ring and holds the glass in place.it was easy to reassemble and now it appears good. I will keep my eye on it for the next couple of weeks and if it starts to happen again I will return it for a replacement. At the moment I think it's just a case of not being fully assembled in the factory.mi don't think it's faulty as such. Anyway, I have used it in conjunction with my 400x filter in order to get a 10 stop. The resulting images were good, there was no banding or any other kind of artefact in the image.Other than the minor glitch mentioned it is well constructed and I'm very pleased with it.

Ordered on the 13th of May. With a delivery of 3-5 days, actually delivered on the 15th of May so no complaints there guys, excellent service on delivery. Quality product and you can tell when you screw it on the lense. Fitted my Canon Eos 550D perfect and does what it is supposed to do. Threads silky smooth and filter great. If I had any concerns when the package arrived it was the packaging. It arrived in a jiffy bag and my first thought was"glass lense in an envelope ,,,,! However when opened the lense was fine as it comes in a sturdy plastic case ( the case was cracked however) may be worth adding a bit of extra padding guys.I would and will be using the supplier again and highly recommend for the service on its own.

This Hoya ND filter is excellent quality and is a trusted brand name. I have used it many times for long exposure shots in daylight conditions and it does the job exactly as it's supposed to (4 stop reduction).Other filters may seem cheap but unfortunatly that's what they are, cheap, in quality as well as price. If you are serious about your photography then spend a little extra and get quality equipment like the Hoya filters, it will be much, much cheaper not only in the long term but also the short term when you realise the ND filter you bought for £8.99 is terrible quality and is ruining your photographs.

I use ND filters regularly for my landscapes, particularly to show movement of water and foliage in high wind but using wide aperture setting. I have and use a range of NDs, namely, 16, 64, 500 and 1000. With the purchase of a Canon EF-S 10-18 mm lens from Amazon for my EOS-M converted to IR, ND16 plus ND64, will be a good combination to show movement in landscape & general photography.Received the the filter from the supplier within a couple of days - excellent service!

Read about this filter in a photo mag, I`d already bought a cheap ND & wasn`t much impressed . However on arrival ,attached this bad boy to lens and headed straight for the beach, finally smooth water in daylight! The filter reduces light by 4stops and produces a very slight warm colour cast which is ok & can easily be adjusted in ACR, obviously in very strong sunlight a deeper grade would be required - but at the moment this one suits my needs perfectly

I've been using HOYA filters from a while ago, This filter just works in a great way as expected...i could have 4 stops down on my lens easily and got a great shots of water and moving subjects in direct sunlight, also the filter fits perfectly on my lens (Nikkor 18-105mm VR)and touchs very nice, definitly the Pro1 filters have a very high quality than a lot of other available filters; HOYA does it well again :)

Excellent Filter. Excellent Seller. This is one of 3 filters I bought from Cameraking. They arrived early and I am very, very pleased with them. The ND 16x Filter was different from the one show, I contacted Cameraking and they explained that Hoya had discontinued this particular Filter and that they had sent me the latest upgraded filter ND16 instead. So all in all , absolutely delighted.

Great filter, realluy useful when you want a shallow depth of field or slow shutter speed (water, night exposures of city scapes etc).Only niggle is the thread isn't lubricated in anyway so the first time I tried to take it off took quite a while. A VERY light touch of grease on the lens thread sorted this.

Yet another superb product from Hoya, I don't buy any other make of filters, these exude class, quality although slightly expensive for a piece of darkened glass. Great for slowing motion, creating those foggy water scenes.

This is a good product, filters can be expensive, so if you see it at a good price, get it. Works well on the FUJI X S-1 camera, allows you to capture that morning sunrise, with image been washed out and several other uses.

A decent filter for the money. I have the 82mm one and the slim construction means no vignetting on super wide angle lenses. Haven't noticed much in the way of colour cast, it's quite neutral. Recommended!

Excellent ND filter. I am a beginner and wanted to try different filters and their effect on images. I am delighted with the results. They are pricey, but well worth the money.

This toned down the brightness.Next purchase I will opt for a darker filter to allow for a long open shutter during the day. That'll allow me to blur out moving people traffic

As with all Hoya products this filter is a nice piece of glass that I'm quite happy to use on my Canon L lenses when I require to lose 4 stops of light.
