I have used this tent a few times now and have come to the conclusion that it is indeed a pretty good tent BUT and this is a big but, it really depends on what you are looking for in a tent, I do a fair bit of camping each year wild and traditional. When trekking across moors, forests and the like you are always looking to optimise your backpack as much as possible and in most cases this can be a costly exorcise. I have previously done tarps, bivy bags etc and each has it's drawback, this tent however is perfect here, It is ridiculously small and by far the easiest tent I have ever had to put together and most important of all it keeps the rain off.I personally didn't find the tent leaked as per some other peoples reviews but I don't think I would trust this in torrential, gale force conditions but then neither would I a bivy bag and a tarp, if it's chucking it down with rain and you are unfortunate enough to be trekking across the lake district then you will already be soaked through when it comes to setting this up so if it keeps 99.9% of the rain off of you your onto a winner. I did find on awaking that there was a fair amount of condensation in the tent even with door wide open and only the fly net closed but then I usually get condensation in my bivy bag and sleeping bag so it was far better in the tent.At the price of £25 this tent is perfect for my needs, I can carry my sleeping bag, clothes, food and drink and I have a place to sleep so it ticks all of my boxes. anything more than £30 and I think I'd have to be giving this one less star. If I was camping at a camp site where the aim is to stay dry and clean 24/7 I would defo be looking elsewhere as there wouldn't be the need for a tent of this size and convenience.

I used this for a 2 week cycling tour in France and camped in it every night. It got all the laughs when I pulled it out as I was sharing with another 5'10'' male. Yes it was cramped but fortunately we are close friends (closer now...). It was by far the lightest tent amongst the 8 of us and you could fit 3 in a rucksack. It goes up and packs in under a minute and survived a storm and a few showers where a Vango broke... No leaks! I would predict it would not be great in high wind due to the old school design. I don't ever use a roll mat or pillow but if you like comfort then id take them as the ground sheet is thin. Would it survive everest base camp? No. Would I take it into a rainforest? No.But look at the price. In future I would use it as a one man tent but if push came to shove I'd let someone share. For the £15 you can't go wrong, just don't expect something palatial!

I took this tent on a cycling trip to Poland around the end of July. It held out all right despite some heavy rain. The roof indeed moves quite a bit when it is windy, but this is not a very painful penalty for loosing weight on poles. Bring earplugs. In addition to other reviews: I had condensation on the inside almost every morning so a water resistant sleepy bag is favorable.Since the groundsheet is quite thin, I would recommend on putting an extra one underneath the tent to protect it. I used a garbage bag, floor isolation foil and some foam like material from the backpack. All put underneath the tent and only where I slept. All in all, excellent value for your money.Recommended for people who do not care too much about comfort but do care about pack size and weight.

Amazing value tent!I am 6'6 tall and very large built and this is a perfect lightweight tent for me on my own. Getting in is a little awkward, but kneeling in front and essentially diving through the entrance is all part of the fun!I covered mine in Nikwax before I used it. There was a steady shower during the night for about 2 hours and there was no leakage. Floor is the same fabric as the walls and I did use an old thin shower curtain as a footprint which worked very well. This would be perfect ultra light backpacking tent or cycle touring tent. I have seen a recommendation about attaching the poles to the frame of your bike and cramming the tent in to a water bottle which would work.Alternatively this will fit easily in a pannier bag.love this tent.

It is a small (the bag's about the size of a 1.5kg bag of flour), light (the same as a 1kg bag of sugar) single shell (like an egg) tent and putting it up is a piece of cake (you see what I did there?).It probably would not cope all that well with a traditional British summer but if you get those couple of days of sun we get each year this could be quite a handy festival/party tent.Pros;SmallLightEasy to set upCheapCons; Not very strongIt is only single skin (the description does not make this clear, the inner and outer that it speaks of is the door only)The instructions are rubbish, the rear pole actually fits outside the tent (if you put it up in the tent, it will fall down...a lot)

Just back from a tour in France carrying this tent for emergency camping. That's what it is. Am emergency tent. It does this job very well. I got caught out with no accommodation and headed for a campsite. The tent did it's job. It was a cold night with a heavy overnight dew. The walls of the tent were soaked in condensation! Not a problem until you tried to move out. Then you were soaked as you brushed against the sides. It has not put me off the tent just made me aware that a sponge would be worth carrying to wipe over the sides now and again. I also bought some grips and staked it halfway down on each side. make sure bottom of the poles are outside the tent, not as pictured. It was very stable.

This is the ultimate lightweight tent for Backpacking / Cycle touring / bikepacking that doesn't cost hundreds of pounds. Very quick to set up, put away and only weighs around 900g.However some DIY must be done before first use. The seams are not sealed so water does get through in these areas. Going over the seams with tent sealant or cheap silicon will fix this, my tent is now 100% waterproof. Another issue was the condensation that builds up inside overnight and drips from the sidewalls if there is enough. I have replaced the end wall where my feet go with just a mosquito net which has eliminated the condensation issue.I now have myself one of the lightest tents around for under £30!

This is ace for bikepacking; no it isn't a proper tent, it's more like a bivvy bag with room. I took it on a weekend ride for a test-drive before heading off touring with it. One mate brought a proper £100+ ultralight tent, one had the £30 Gelert Solo and the other a two-man mid range mid weight tent. The minilite was cheaper, lighter, packed smaller and more spacious than any of the others. The pole right in front of the door is a massive design flaw and I'm going to rustle up an a-frame as a replacement. A bit of moisture to deal with in the morning but that's the result of using a single skin tent in a damp country. Still it's more pleasant than a bivvy and not much heavier.

After buying this tent I took it out on the Ridgeway trail. It performed admirably keeping me fairly warm and dry, through some heavy rain and hail. The tent is very simple to put up, just two poles 6 pegs including the guy ropes although you will need to make sure everything is pegged down tightly to keep it taut. The only negatives are:Its quite a tight fit to get in once you've set it up.The entire tent is made of a nylon fabric so I would suggest using a small groundsheet to stop it sitting in puddles and snagging on branches and rocks if you are not staying in a campsite. You won't find a better microlite hiking tent for this much anywhere.

this tent is so light you do not know you are even carrying it! The poles are so light and if you keep them separately the tent can fit into a tiny bag and the poles can be carried separtely, there are tents this light but better quality, but cost 10 times as much.its ideal for overnight stays and does not take any effort to erect - childs play. superb product i feel like buying more of them

This is a great mini tent for 1 person (comfortable with backpack inside) or 2 persons (uncomfortable, no backpacks inside). The space is really limited for 2 persons, but it is perfect for 1. Haven't tested it on rain, so I don't know how it performs.Good quality, easy to setup, well ventilated, an excellent choice for a bike tour.

Super lightweight tent. You got to be realistic with your expectations. Is it going to keep you dry and out of the worst of the weather. .. yep ...Is it any good in gale force winds and snow ...nopeCompact light and easy to put up

Love it !! Great little tent for summer hiking .... packs down small as a brick ..takes 2 minutes to put and there's loads of room for me and my pack .... give it a go ..its cheap as chips ! :-) :-) :-) :-)

If you want a really lightweight tent, this is it. I wouldn't advise it for two people unless very intimate indeed but for one it is great and you can read in bed! It withstands rain well.

Too short for a 6'2" camper.Seeing as it's a single skin, I can't afford to touch cloth in it.Might just use it for keeping my bags in when I'm traveling with my light weight tiny tent.
